- The Gain Changer is very versatile overdrive pedal that covers everything from low gain to thick distortion. Barber is known for their excellent build quality; every Barber pedal is handmade in the USA.
When we take a look at the pedal we are seeing next to the standard volume, tone and gain configuration 2 switches. The left switch is a very usable 3-way EQ switch. The right switch gives you a more/less gain option. The Gain Changer has a very neutral voice and knows how get the best out of almost every amp.
Today I'm playing on a Morgan SW50R top and a HOOK 2x12 cabinet.

De Gain Changer is zeer veelzijdig overdrive pedaal die alles van low gain tot dikke oversturing aan toe dekt. Barber staat al lange tijd bekend om hun topkwaliteit, alle pedalen worden dan ook een voor een handgemaakt in de USA.
Als we naar het pedaal kijken zien we naast de bekende standaard volume, tone en gain configuratie twee switches. De linker switch is een heel bruikbare 3 standen EQ switch. De rechter switch zorgt voor meer of minder gain. De Gain Changer heeft van nature een neutraal karakter en weet op bijna alle versterkers het beste eruit te halen.
Vandaag speel ik op een Morgan SW50R met een HOOK 2x12 cabinet.

Most Under-Rated overdrive I have ever played ( and now own G.C. SR ). Barber is making some incredible stuff.

Great pedal and playing but I can guarantee even better tones if he moved the volume knob up to at least unity volume. You’d be amazed!

@@user-ph2oc7vt6w you really cant accurately compare ODs made by different manufacturers…as the gain structures differ re level and drive and how they interact. I’m just pointing out that I have a lot of experience with the GC and I’ve never reached unity with the same settings using both single coils and humbuckers. I’m guessing he was using it the way it sounded best for the recording, and not necessarily in a live situation when the amp is up and being pushed.
