For me, I thought this game was absolutely amazing and it got me tearing up at times. The music is phenomenal and the story was straight up beautiful. My favorite action game. I thought that I saw everything this game had to offer me in terms of over the top action Then I was politely slapped in the face when the phantom exploded with the power of 10 hydrogen bombs which so goddamn powerful it collapsed on itself and made a black hole God I love this game
if you press the missles while doing other actions, you can edge out a little more damage, they can be used simultaneously with most of the phantoms other attacks, do it with the swipes and its an easy pure platinum
…why am I only now noticing this is this games’ equivalent to Queen Sheba? Like, the whole time fighting the final boss, is was wondering “where’s the Queen Sheba moment”, but it turns out we already fought it and I didn’t notice. …is it because it absorbed Jeanne?

It also says in the enemy lore entry: "This colossal Homunculus type was created after the completion of Cirrocumulus and Cirrostratus as an advancement of Singularity's concept of replicating divinity, and with the application of ideas he found in ancient texts. Unlike the majority of other Homunculi which are modeled after existing lifeforms with an emphasis on functionality, Stratocumulus is designed almost entirely around Singularity's design sensibilities and image of what a malevolent god should be."
This sounds a bit like what would happen if Bayonetta did a crossover with Astral Chain, another Platinum IP. The intimidating demon choir and the mysterious voice accommodating the homonculi are both in here. Quite cool.
Makes sense given that Phantasmaraneae is based of Phantom from DMC. They even included a reference to the scene with Dante and Phantom when Bayonetta first meets Phantasmaraneae.
When i first fought this boss i lost due to the timer like 5 seconds away from the core of the boss, and the phantom exploded. Then... On try 2, i make it there and THE PHANTOM BECOMES A NUCLEAR EXPLOSION. What's the difference 10 meters away from the core??
