I got the realization that Cereza probably never got to dance with her mother, and considering that dance is important in Umbran practice, she missed out an important event or milestone as a child, or never got to share it with her mother 😢
Well...she missed out as a child. But...in Bayonetta 2, she sort of danced with Rosa...but they were fighting together during the Witch Hunts in Vigrid while getting to the Clock Tower.
Spanish speaker here, and for anyone else who noticed, this song seems to sounds very similar to 'Hijo de la luna' (Son of the moon) a spanish song about a woman who had an albino child who always seemed connected to the moon, a gorgeous piece very know between hispanic people. Seems very fitting since Bayonetta's themes/covers are always about the moon, Fly me to the moon, Moon river & Moonlight serenade
When Cereza companions dance with her, their dance isn't "perfectly" mirrored but they have that 5% of non synchrony, like they are real people dancing with her, wich makes them even more at sync in a heartwarming way
After watching this, I realized something about the dances. When Cereza is dancing by herself at the beginning, she was very wobbly and uncertain. When Morgana joined in, I noticed that Cereza was lagging behind compared to her teacher. Which suggests to me that she’s following along to Morgana. When Jeanne joins in, their dances are more in sync and follows the same timing. Which I think symbolizes how they’re equal in status. Or equal in each other’s eyes. When Rosa joins in, it feels like her dance is following along Cereza’s dance, unlike with Morgana. Which makes me think that even when her daughter is not there, she’s always thinking of her. And of course when Cereza reaches the spring stage of the song, her movements are more steady and confident. Her hair being reminiscent to her B1 self, means she’s slowly becoming like the witch from. B1.
God, when Rosa came in and the backing vocals started just before the cressendo, I bawled so hard, and this was made even worse when she got Bayo 1's trademark ponytail once Rosa was gone, showing that she's really matured since the game has begun. This game is so fucking heartwarming, I love it. 🥹
My favourite thing about this is during the part where cereza is dancing with silhouettes of other characters. When dancing with morgana, grean leafs fall. Symbolizng summer. When dancing with jeanne, brown maple leaves fall, symbolizing fall, whne dancing with rosa, snowflakes fall, symbolizing winter, and during the final cresendo, she spirals in a tornado of pink blossoms. Symbolizing spring. I don't know what the symbolism means but it's neat
I think you pretty much got it. It could literally just show that time is passing but..The game is about Cereza's personal growth as a person/Umbra witch. So I think it's meant to emphasize that she has changed just as the seasons do. Either way, it is neat :p
Morgana represented both the summer scorch and warmth of love Jeanne represented the endless autumnal bounty of a childhood friendship Rosa represented the bitter wintry cold of a mother she could never get know properly And lastly, Cereza represents the end of her journey as a more mature, self-assured person; a personal spring blossoming if you will
@@Lara-vo6rpersonally, I can see how both would work because of how after the coldest winter comes the spring to thaw everything out. This could be refer to Morgana’s ruthlessness, but also how Rosa had complete faith in her daughter to become a wonderful witch.
I know she gets the hairstyle, but I think it would have been neat if a silhouette of Bayo 1!Bayonetta was dancing during the spring portion. She's arguably the one who kickstarted Cereza's change from calling Mummy to being called Mummy.
I love the fact that as the song goes on, she becomes more and more confident in her ballet. Starting out kinda wobbly and ending not 100% but certainly more steady! good detail and still makes me cry so you know 10/10
A nice touch about the seasons changing during the character dances is that , the brand new Cereza with the Ponytail similar to Bayo 1 Beehive dances during the spring and her description in the files is ''A flower yet to bloom''. Flowers bloom during spring, meaning that Cereza finally ''blossom'' after her adventure with Cheshire, she grew up to be confident with herself ♥
I like how Jeean and cerezza both are opposite. With jeean being a season of coming cold and fading colors that Herold the coming winter and death of most plant life. On the other hand cerezza being spring a time that brings life back to the world after winter a time of hardship and death as well as paving the path for summers heat and life.
um, i just have to say, i loved this song so much, my heart hurts. It starts out with morgana, but she dances with cereza in the least amount of time, and jeanne was nice as well, but the end? just seeing daughter and mom makes me so happy, and her finally dancing herself shows how she's grown so, so much. It's kinda hard to explain. I also really am hoping for a sequel
I wanna picture the future versions of her going "Well who's this cheeky little thing?" "excuse me!" and then Viola looks, and goes "Aw, cool. this is when you were with mom the first time huh ches" "D O N ' T R E M I N D M E..."
I know dancing would've been out of the question, but I still would've loved to see Cheshire following around her; maybe even as the plushie bouncing along behind her.
