The fact that Taran has chosen to bougie up a Canik is a real endorsement for the company. They're winning hard.
I love my Rival and I modded a Mete to be somewhat similar to this TTI Canik, in other words I put a comp on it lol. Hopefully the Taran Tactical is a bit more reliable than mine. Mine is sorta finiky.
The Juan Wick hype is slowly dying down. Taran Testicle needs to diversify his market .
Theyre winning hard but now everybody is gonna want a Canik and prices are gonna go up

@@lubrew5862what are your personal thoughts. I own a Canik TP9 SF Elite and it works flawlessly. I was skeptical but after shooting it and running a lot of rounds through it without any issues I believe the hype. Not the greatest gun but for the price you can’t beat it.

As a 70 yr old senior citizen I could only afford 1 pistol for every day carry & home defense. I chose the Canik tp9 Elite sc. At 24 ounces, it's comfortable in either appendix or side carry. It has Canik's own red dot, the Mecanik MO2. A great value for the $475.99 I paid total, delivered to my local ffl dealer.

I chose the same, and prefer it to any Glock I've owned. Better trigger right out of the box. Haven't felt any need to modify it as I did with the Glocks.

I ended up buying a second tp9 sc elite because I loved the first one so much. I have more expensive and popular guns, but for me, these are unbeatable.

Canik has made leaps and bounds over the years. I believe this has happen because they listen to their customers.
I like it. But due to the hype, I know these will be sold out for at least 6 months to a year. This a gun I want to hate but for some reason love it.

I will definitely be getting one. I’ve loved Caniks since I shot one. I have an elite combat with a TiN threaded barrel. It’s a great weight for edc and it’s easy to practice with. It’s not as slim as the p365 by any means, but the p365 is a pain for long practice sessions. It gets too hot.
@@LFDNC i own 6 Caniks, 2 being the Rival-S Chrome and the TP9-SFX and both shoot amazing.
I am 1st on the list for this TTi Combat at my local shop. The Rival-S chrome i was 2nd on the list and i waited 1 year.
That 1st one came in 9 months after release.
I also have the P365X and that is one great micro compact but its very snappy.
@@ACommenterOnUA-cam I got a Rival-S fairly quickly by spamming a few online sites, but Id hold off on any new Canik models for a bit anyway (still bitter about the possible future Rival-S mag/ftf issues after 3K+ raounds)
*The compensator is not threaded. The TTI Combat has a new design, making the compensator removable by a proprietary quick-locking/unlocking system from the barrel. Hence, you can remove the TTI Combat compensator, making it a 4.6" barrel length for carry. Add the compensator for competition or fast shooting, extending the barrel to 5" long, which still can be carried. This is an extraordinary, amazing feature of the Canik TTI Combat.*
I have 3 Caniks and I love all of them, my only complaint is they can be too much fun and buying ammo can be expensive, but worth every penny. I can’t wait to get my hands on one of these TTI Canks. I recently purchased a CZ Shadow II and again it is a great gun. Thank you for basically saving us from buying guns we may not like.

My wife and I also love Canik firearms. My only issue with them is with the Mete series and the striker reset problems it seems to have. I had 3 of them and now have none. My wife loves her Rival and I'm picking up a TP9 Elite SF later today. Can't wait to see the TTI Combat in person!
Two video ideas: 1) Canik TTI vs Canik Rival S. 2) Canik TTI vs similarly priced competition guns (ie Shadow 2, G34, S&W M&P Competitor, etc). This video wouldn’t be that different from the 10 best pistols under $1000 video, but to make it different you could rank them from worst to best. Maybe titled “Top 5/10 Competition Pistols Under $1000.” Anyway, love the content, keep doing what you’re doing.

This is not really a competition gun though. The comp puts you into open minor in USPSA which this gun would be a huge disadvantage in. You could shoot IDPA with it but IDPA is pretty lame anyway.

Great review and man what a sexy pistol. I've become a huge fan of Canik. I just liked the way they felt at first, very well balanced and comfortable. Then add in watching folks like you review them and I liked them even more which led to my purchase. Now TTI jumps in and out just makes it even better

Canik might be the best gun company, as far as listening to their customers, ever. Plus, they don’t charge “arms and legs” for their product. Everything you could want comes with their pistols from the get go!

BTW, I have dealt with Century Arms before and they definitely wouldn’t be in the same sentence with Canik when talking about custom service or anything else.
@VforVendetta13 Century Arms is the IMPORTER for Canik, they dont usually handle customer service for them. Any questions or concerns needs to be emailed to Canik themselves, not Century Arms

I have the original imported TP9 SA.. $298 ..Loved how it was like a modern Makarov, with its old Eastern Europe influence..the round top slide with glare serrations across the top and pinned front sight.. now I have an SF, a SF elite, and an MC9...
Yeah, the original TP9SA was my first gun and it’s still going strong. 10k round later, replaced a recoil spring and barrel. Love Canik!
I love my Canik tp9 elite sc and the Mete sft, you definitely can’t beat what you get for the money.

In the last year, some of the wonderful new guns I have gotten include the wonderful guns from Canik ( I bought a TP9 sfx and a Rival), the Girsan Regard and their HP clone, the Taurus G3c, The Meta Tactical Apex (wonderful!), the Springfield Echelon and the Ruger Security 380. Crazy. Canik was my 1st gun. Still runs like a champ with over 1000 rounds through it so far. Hasn’t jammed yet.. their METE series is amazing. And another win is the customer service department… the BEST!

It’s a swing and a miss for me. All they would’ve had to do is give it the same shape comp as the pit viper. It’s just a 509 comp now, or a p320 with a PMM barrel and comp. A comp and better texture doesn’t make it worth 1000 bucks when you can get the mete sf for 450 or less all day long
I wouldn't say it was a swing and a miss, but I put comps on two different Caniks. One is an Elite Combat Executive, that already had the threaded barrel and the other is a TP9 SFx. I had to buy the threaded barrel and the comp. Adding the barrel and the comp is about $200, so that still puts the SFx at around $750, which would be less than the TTI. However, the trigger on the TTI looks like a better trigger. I did change out the trigger on my SFx, so by the time I did that along with the springs, it was probably close to $1000. Still, it's better than any Sig out of the box and far cheaper than a 320.
@@GlenWiederholt at THAT price and with THAT little of upgrades, it’s just not worth what they’re asking. I bought a threaded barrel and a comp and a frame mounted comp for my Canik Rival. There was no significant change in recoil impulse at all, so all three where a waste of money. All you’re getting is better texture than the mete series for double the price. That’s a BIG miss if you ask me.
From what I have read, the frame mounted comps are not as good as the barrel mounted, such as the Disruptive Defense. I have 2 TP9 SFxs. One I have a comp and the other does not. My follow up shots are quicker and my optic barely moves on the gun with the comp. Same goes for my Elite Combat. It's very different with the comp as before without it. The one gun I probably will never alter is my Rival. I think it's great just the way it is. In all honesty, I'd rather buy a Mete SFx and upgrade to a Freedomsmith trigger before I'd buy the TTI. Add a good optic and call it a day.@@Bryan-1980
@@GlenWiederholt I’ve got the rival with fully upgraded internals, freedom smith trigger, +5 mag extantion, Mecanik M02 optic and Streamlight with laser. It stays by my bed most of the time. I think with a proper grip, you shouldn’t need a comp unless you’re running hand loaded ammo in a competition.

I was waiting for a comparison to the Rival steel frame. They are roughly the same price.
I would assume close to the same....big difference would be WHich Competition division you would like to be in...TTI goes straight to OpEN with the comp.
Finally someone is honest at says caniks are snappy and it’s because that massive slide but I’m sure this TTI version is a lil better.
They are definitely snappy. I have the Mete SFX, I like it but I was surprised at how snappy it is.
I have comps on my TP9 SFx and Elite Combat Executive and they really tame the muzzle flip. My guess is the TTI comp does the same. There is little movement of the muzzle when he fires, so it looks like it is a very good design. Looking forward to seeing one in the wild.
@@GlenWiederholt I am sure the comp helps but truthfully he makes every gun look like it doesn't recoil.
My canik isn't snappy. To me it is low recoil.
If you think any of the bigger Caniks are snappy, your grip sucks.
What a precious gun
I had the same gripe with the magazine release upon initially shooting it, large hands = chewed up support palm! I had to adjust my grip and not 1911/2011 the Canik. I got about 750 rds through it already and It no longer eats my hands. Canik did it up with this variant. I love the grip texture and trigger details. The ported barrel & quick attach comp combo is a first for me and I am impressed with the engineering behind it.
Would love to see a pdp match vs the tti… especially a trigger comparison.

When Canik does a calibration I feel they nail it. My Salient Canik Combat Elite is absolutely amazing. Also one of the best suppressor host. I’m excited to get me one of these now.
I put a comp on mine. It's ridiculously easy to shoot. It looks cool with the SAI gold barrel and Disruptive Defense comp. Accurate as hell with a Vortex red dot on it as well.

I carry my MC9 with disruptive defense dual port comp everyday (over 9k rounds, no failures except it doesnt like steel cased ammo).
I love it and might have to fork out for this TTi

I went to my local gun shop where I purchased previous guns a month ago. They had already put in an order for 10 to be delivered to them . I through down the cash and was #4 in reserve. Check around and get on the list. I’m in Arizona and got this through MR. Silencer…East valley guns
