Did you buy the bag from Amazon? This is why I don’t like buying certain items from Amazon because they have a very liberal return policy and re-ship out returned items without even vetting them.

I bought a Mongo from Amazon, they shipped a Jumbo with a Mongo “tag” on it lol 😂

It’s unfortunate, they really have been around a long time and in a way I feel they’ve led the way to all these newer brands making the same kind of gear.
I haven’t bought Maxpedition In a while, not the Maxpedition from old days.
I’ve bought 2 Maxpedition bags from Amazon Canada, both bags had Quality Control issues…first the Mongo bag purchased arrived as a Jumbo bag with a Mongo “tag” on it…second, the Octa Versipack had a strap length of less than 30inches that is permanently stitched (website says 48inch removable strap) …I couldn’t believe I’m 0-2…and a replacement is coming tomorrow!
It's a long story but according to Amazon they'er only selling what Maxped send to Amazon, and all returned bags are sent back to Maxped. Maxped claims Amazon is reselling returned products (without an inspection) but Amazon denies this. Back when I was a big Maxped fan I never bought anything directly from Maxped, it was always a middleman and really don't remember having any issues. Not sure what's happening with Maxpedition products being sold on Amazon but I can honestly say I've bought other brands on Amazon (bags, packs and pouches) without any quality problems. I feel if someone is interested in a Maxped product, Amazon isn't the place to buy from.

The longer it stays light out definitely hinders light reviews. Not looking forward to the hot, humid and mosquitos while trying to do a light review. Just part of the business I guess.

Looks like Maxpedition is going down the no-quality control road. The one I have is perfect, no stitches coming apart, trying to save money , I can’t even believe that, especially that missing strap.
That’s not like the old Wolfspur I’ve got, the original wolfspur the top pouch is hard for protecting glasses or phone, and it’s not flabby like that, it looks much better, wow..
But, again, quality on mine is like the Vanquest, perfect , and you can tell, that one looks like a quality/down version of the one I have, it’s a shame they are doing this, signs of the time.
All my Maxpedition gear has been high quality and durable. I don't own any vanquest gear. You're doing a hit piece for vanquest against Maxpedition. How they pay you, gear or cash

They've sent you a used item that's been returned. Explains the poor hyperlon also. QC is poor. My OG Wolfspur still looks brand new years down the line

You changed your channel name, that threw me for a loop. Can't believe they cut that strap. It must have been easier than fixing what was actually wrong with it.
I’m guessing it was a return that wasn’t looked over very well and somehow made it back on the shelf for resale. Unfortunately. And yes, I changed the channel name. I’m not 100% happy with what I chose, but it’s much more fitting than what I was using. It may change again, we’ll see.
Damn that is terrible. I have the original, and was shocked to see the last strap cut off.
