Especially now with everything moving away from analog and combustion motors. The best looking audi ever made. That sounds phenomenal. Will be my next car purchase. No question.

I ordered this based off of other videos I saw and was thinking that it wouldn’t make much of a difference. I saw this and I changed my mind completely. I also have the sport exhaust fitted from factory and can’t wait to install this x-pipe and get it out on the roads.

that x pipe is in the wrong spot and adds zero hp. The jhm x pipe by the downpipes actually does add hp. I have this car with Capristo and it sounds amazing!

Hey, 1. Do you have the factory sport exhaust package? 2. Was the OEM exhaust cut and if so, can it be welded back to OEM if you were to sell the car? If so, will it be noticeable that it’s been cut and welded again? Thanks!
1. yes this car had the factory sports exhaust 2. not sure, there is a 2-3 foot section of the exhaust the resonator is attached to, it's kinda like an additional muffler...that is what was removed and replaced. So now i just have pipe in that 2 foot section...I opted to just scrap the original exhaust resonator section, i imagine any mechanic worth his grain of salt would notice a resonator RE-install 3. are you asking on behalf of a vehicle with an active factory warranty?
It’s shouldn’t, what ever you do take the dealership invoice to a “euro” specialist shop...saved me 3k USD and not penalized for having MODS...my local shop even took before and after videos of my car!
Loved the video! I have had my RS5 for a few months now and am deciding on what exhaust, if any, I want. AWE is not far from me and they are at $2300 installed. Great sound, very loud and deep but expensive, Plus, I have the sport exhaust on the car and AWE eliminates the sport exhaust valve(s). I was hoping to keep the OE sport exhaust and adding these pipes. How much did you pay for the installation? And did you notice any issue(s) with the x pipe after installation? I still have the x pipe…Daytona grey was my first color option but I couldn’t find one with black optics and adaptive cruise control…I would love too see yours
@@rs5pdx That's funny, I first looked at a black one with titanium package, sport exhaust, but ended up going down to a dealer an hour away and they had 4 2015 RS5's. 2 in Daytona Grey Pearl, one black and one blue. The two Grey ones were nearly identical but the one I got had the adaptive cruise control and 20 inch rims. Plus, it had the lowest miles of anyone I saw that day. One owner. That was my second favorite color but it did creep up on me and loved it. I had a white TTS before so I was gonna go black. Never wanted a silver anything; but the grey is so freakin' nice. I would show you a pic, but I don't know how to on here. I just had to pimp my ride out a big and got some really nice mats, puddle lights with the rings/red Audi letters and RS5 sport seat lettering. I don't have black optics.
I really do love this car, the sound, the confidence of AWD, when people see me pull up the car gets complements all the time! Are you thinking about getting one?
I’m ironically taking it to the shop today, could be something or could be nothing…the car through up a lean fuel code last week. Other than basic oil change it the first problem I have had
I think someone said they keep it in the trunk and when they get pulled over they just show the cop and tell them they are going to put it on when they get home…
Hi, thanks for the review! Have you heard resonated capristo in person and how would you compare it to this in terms of loudness? I heard x pipe yesterday and it was really good and no major downsides. Debating between capristo or x pipe currently.
I have not heard a capristo in person, but some of the videos on here sure do make it sound amazing! For me a 300$ xpipe does about 80% of what a 2-3k full exhaust will do…if you got the cash get a full exhaust, but if you want some cheap thrills get the xpipe ASAP!
Man im stuck deciding between this or a 2014-15 S7. I keep gravitating towards the RS5 but everyone keeps saying the S7 is the way to go. I do like the twin turbo V8 idea but i really like the way this sounds and i feel like it handles better....

I think it’s currently going for 300 USD but I’m sure they have many options in Europe for an XPIPE, you could even take it to a muffler shop and get a DIY xpipe
You said you've owned the car for a year and a half, what service you/they have done? DSG service? Oil change? Brake rotors/pads? Any electrical/wiring issue?
Literally the right high/low beam headlight went out a few days ago...other than that the only thing I’ve done is oil changes, I’m at 50k miles and DSG service is at 55k
I think the oil change is 130$ but I just got it rolled into my XPIPE install...I have yet to do the DSG service, I still have 5k miles before it needs to be done. But it’s around 1800 to do that and all the required maintenance for my 55k mile service...I average 6k miles every 12 months...I live 1 mile from work LOL
Quaker the only time I hear drone is when I am driving in D mode under medium throttle...it’s not a situation I find myself in a lot, but yes that is when you will get a drone...but I would never give up the xpipe upgrade
Just asking did you get the V8 or the new V6? Because the xpipe on the V8 is a game changer for sure! You will find it difficult to keep your foot out of it
This car looks and sounds way better than my '21 RS5. No doubt about it. I'm moving to Portland so look for a sonoma green metallic one with boring stock wheels

The Xpipe deletes the resonator,so it’s louder but still livable.... I still have the flaps but I disabled them from closing by pulling out the plug that controls them opening and closing...super easy it’s in the truck...are you wanting to get exhaust work done?

I had the same decision to make. M4 has better stats on paper, but I decided on the RS5 because of the V8 Engine and because of its luxury vibe. BMW interiors aren’t too great.

Only downfall of the rs5 is that boring automatic. If they made these in a manual It would be a true collectors car. Rather have the b8 s5 manual v8 as those will be more rare as time goes on. Big v8 manuals are non existent now.
@@zachariahohlman7046 you have to find and drive the car that suits you...I know a guy who has a Plymouth laser AWD and runs 11'S... but he has no back seats no ac no passenger seat a 5 gallon fule tank and the car starts up about 50 percent of the time and currently is parked because a blown turbo...but hey it's fast 😉
@@rs5pdx don't yous have optional plate designs ? In my country we get to choose from a number of plate types. But im telling you that plate holder looks ridiculous. If not for the look do it for the performance. That plate being there is just causing unnecessary drag
AWE non resonated down pipes are better. I have them coupled with the sports exhaust on my own. But either way, this car is a beast when you let that engine out.
@@rs5pdx definitely. I didn’t go for the full system because I wanted to open it up, but it’s not a boy racer car for sure. There’s also the JHM system too. I also swapped out all the mounts for the 034 billet aluminums, dynamically, an excellent upgrade.

I think it was around 400 parts and labor…I didn’t want to lose the valved exhaust so the x pipe was my best option

If you really need the room the S7 might be better...if you want sound and 8k red line get rs5

Yes I'm sure it would make it more quite...however I pulled out the connection plug that closes the valve so mine are open 100% of the time

It’s is not a full exhaust, I just have ECS XPIPE...AWE track extreme WOW you will be able to hear your car coming from a mile away!!!

The 4.2 V8 in this car is more in common with the 5.2 V10 in the R8 than the 4.2 V8 in the old S4/S5…

@@rs5pdx don't yous have optional plate designs ? In my country we get to choose from a number of plate types. But im telling you that plate holder looks ridiculous. If not for the look do it for the performance. That plate being there is just causing unnecessary drag

AWE non resonated down pipes are better. I have them coupled with the sports exhaust on my own. But either way, this car is a beast when you let that engine out.
How much are AWE non res DP going for???

That’s a good price! You definitely have to do something with the resonator at the very least with this car to really appreciate the V8
@@rs5pdx definitely. I didn’t go for the full system because I wanted to open it up, but it’s not a boy racer car for sure. There’s also the JHM system too. I also swapped out all the mounts for the 034 billet aluminums, dynamically, an excellent upgrade.
