Can you really take such a big heavy road car to a track? I always thought the RS5 was more of a GT car like an Aston as opposed to a sports/track car like a Porsche?
It’s not a GT car like the Aston. Its not comfortable. It’s a everyday car you can track like a base 911. 450hp, RS suspension, rear differential, rear bias Quattro makes this car a really good track day car, but not a track car. Not all porsches are track cars btw.
@@NBASFAN Yeah Porsche was just an example. It did you very stiff on the track and sounds great. Do you feel the weight much? I'm amazed at how my A7 - while not like my Porsche feels in corners and I put that down to the double wishbones that all Audis (sans the A3's) have.
@@sinoperture you feel the weight for the RS5 yeah, but it would be a lot different than your A7 which wasnt meant to be tracked. RS5 actually can corner really fast and once you rev to 8250rpm that's when you get full power on the straights. It's very satisfying.
Man that noise is incredible
Love it 😍
Flat plane crank all aluminum block 4.2 best engine ever made.
@@RICHIE_RICH89 it's not a flat plane crank bro it's cross plane. Makes this engine all the more incredible that it can rev so high.
@@the-boring-car-guy I'm sorry, you're telling me this engine is utilising the same crank design as a bald eagle V8? To then rev to circa 9k?!
@@4our6ixkwvmz yes indeed. Audi really pulled off something special here
I absolutely love this engine
Me too
My god what an engineeee
Car sounds great! Do you have an external mic? Sound on my track videos are bad, too much wind noise
Great video! Where did you get that steering wheel?
Thank you. @carismodesign on IG
Did you leave it in sport mode or manual shift?
Is the exhaust stock?
Can you send link to this steering wheel led indicator?

It’s very trackable. I’m not the fastest but I definitely have fun with it on the track.
Audi has gotta bring the V8s back
Audi getting rid of the flat plane crank 4.2 was the dumbest thing they ever did. That v6 is lame turbos or not i like the 4.2 all day .
Actually not many people know but this car is a cross plane one of the very very few high revving cross plane v8s ever made.
@draggy6544 definitely, all aluminum block as well. That engine rocked . It did rev high indeed.
Yikes. 👎
