I love how brutally honest you are about yourself and your journey! It makes me feel wayyy more comfortable about my scream. Mines super powerful but not very consistent or steady ya know? It’s a weird thing tho. You have to consistently practice and reach that middle area where you can still talk or ig sing and still be loud and powerful. No better practice aside from just getting alone and just going for it. As soon as I felt tenderness in my throat I started new techniques to find my right voice/style to practice in or ig with! So good
This is so great! I've fought with people for forever about the actual skill it takes to scream correctly. I've always been so intrigued by the human voice and the different ranges we can reach. You put so much work into this. I'm proud of you for sticking to it and finding your voice.

All the information in the videos was looped over and over again, It's like I am watching 4 same videos that's pretends to be different. None of the information is actually teaching you "how to scream". SO IF ANYONE IS THINKING ABOUT SIGNING UP FOR THE CRASH COURSE, YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME.

I just tried it one day, after hanging out with a friend who watched some tutorials about it on UA-cam. I did the same thing this guy did in the beginning, but this song I listened to in the car on my way home, I noticed the vocalist had this falsetto kinda tone (but kinda chest voice too) in the scream. So I just tried that tone, and then I slowly compressed the air in my throat, more air and less space. There it was, a fucking scream. I kept on doing it in the car from time to time. Now I can do different pitches as well!

🔴 I've been a recording engineer since the mid- seventies, a singer since well before that and a vocal coach till recently, my ears are VERY well- trained, and the example of your buddy Nik nocturnal singing (@ 6:38) had substantial vocal-effects-processing going on, including low-frequency synthesis, which is basically a device that synthesizes vocal-notes BELOW what the singer is able to sing by themselves...... .....Very much like the effects that Tatiana from the band 'Jinjer' uses. Go ahead and deny it all you want , ( and I'm SURE you will), but you're NOT fooling ME!

lmao! That's certainly one way of getting there.
Yeah!
Actually, what you did is gonna works. I did the same thing when I started years ago. I started from growl, and then chest techniques ala Corey Taylor and slowly I tried the fry scream. After that I learn how to NOT pushing my throat so much and focusing more on my diaphragm. Kepp practicing and you're all set.
Corey taylors vocals r not really screams and slipknot sucks btw they r way overated. If u listen to their guitar riffs they r all simple. Most of them r just one finger power chords due to lower tunings. They suck

This is so great! I've fought with people for forever about the actual skill it takes to scream correctly. I've always been so intrigued by the human voice and the different ranges we can reach. You put so much work into this. I'm proud of you for sticking to it and finding your voice.
watched all 4 videos and they weren't helpful.. you repeated yourself so many times and spent about 2 minutes actually showing how to scream, before saying if you wanted it more in depth that i would need to pay. sigh.
I Learned some usefull tips from this guy ua-cam.com/video/ftboO63epoE/v-deo.html It's in portugese but I guess you may understand the gestures. He say you need to pratice with sigh and the diaphragm to get the distortion you want. It worked for me. I am not a professional singer but it's better than nothing and it was free. Other tip that I learned for myself is that in the beginning it's easier if you sing like you are very sad and very tired. Pay attention to this video in the 4:30 ua-cam.com/video/VtbD9R0kjVY/v-deo.html . That is what I am talking about singing like your tired. Hope it helps you. It's the best I can do. You can ask more question if you want.
It is not a video supposed to make you learn, it is supposed to show his progression dude.
trekig don’t defend a shady businessman
To be honest, I was hoping to learn something that I cannot find from the internet in those 4 crash courses, turns out I spend 8 days waiting for a 4-part commercial that tells me to sign up for the scream academy.
Exactly... I was so hyped and then was left extremely disappointed
@@judythepunk461 to be honest dude you can't really learn it from external sources, you just have to sit with yourself where you're not affraid to make ugly sounds super loud for a loooooong time and figure that shit out. everyone who has tried to teach it hasn't done so adequately because it can't be put into words. those videos are good for a point of reference but that's about it
Billy Markley If you put someone in a room by themselves with a guitar, it doesn’t matter how long they’re there... they’re gonna sound like shit. Same with anything else. Your argument is straight up invalid.
Reinforcing good habbits and understanding the mechanics of scream is worth repeating information.
How to get the basics In a nutshell. Diaphragm supported breathing, air flow "white noise" and scream placement are the base of false cord screams. Learn that shit before you fuck yourself over. If you need more help and information then *gasp* a coach can help... For a price.

True there is a female vocal coach on youtube that has free screaming lesson videos that seem pretty legit.
Now I can do different pitches as well!

seventies, a singer since well before that and a
vocal coach till recently, my ears are VERY well-
trained, and the example of your buddy Nik nocturnal singing (@ 6:38) had substantial vocal-effects-processing going on, including low-frequency synthesis, which is basically a device that synthesizes vocal-notes BELOW what the singer is able to sing by themselves......
