I wondered if this was happening on uber eats. As of last week, I noticed I was no longer getting " banger" request. I'm also seeing more and more uber eat drivers not knowing the English language. 🙏 🤲

New sub here! This is hands down the best video I’ve seen that fully explains what it happening in the gig economy, particularly Walmart spark. This is a very scary situation and only a matter of time before someone winds up hurt or worse. Blows my mind that Walmart isn’t taking this seriously. Customers safety and personal information is at risk every single time one of these people step on to their property to deliver an order. They have no idea this person/people has had no background check. It is wrong on so many levels. Not to mention the people who are in fact legit spark drivers and losing out on a lot of money, all the while Walmart is ignoring the issue. It’ll be interesting to see how this all turns out. I'd probably feel differently if they were playing fair.. but it's truly become a Gig Driver version of Organized Crime .. you've got like 6 people constantly working maybe 12-15 phones .. and they all have different jobs ie 4 drivers and two shoppers .constantly switching phones ..putting an an order in a car , trading phones , walk right back in to start shopping the next order.. This is going on in FL right Now! They have a whole system in place, and Walmart said there's nothing they can do because they can't detect where it's coming from. Nor can they ask for ID because that's discrimination. It's sad in pensacola everyone has been affected. They have no shame either.

This poses huge liability issues for Walmart- God forbid if an illegal alien commits a crime against a customer. And that WILL happen Walmart. Also, Walmart is aware of this and does not appear to be doing much about it. I'm telling all customers to add "signature" to their order and ask for ID from delivering driver upon delivery
One of these Undocumented Sparkers with fake accounts could commit a crime against a customer and easily disappear or just move to a different area and Spark there.. Yea. I could be looking at a blank Spark screen, notification pops up at top, but no order ever shows itself even for a split second. I used to do pretty well on Spark, now it kinda just sits in the background while I do other apps being largely ignored.
I order curbside pickup for myself at Walmart. This is going on. You can see the people with no car tags multiple phones and multiple people using the same car. Walmart does not care, they need idiots to deliver $3 dollar orders.
One of the security issues we have here is people that can't pass background checks delivering, and helping on deliveries as they're delivering for a relative, friend, or partner with a Spark account, or they're helpers and and passengers during curbside, and shopping deliveries The passenger issues create some quality and health issues as well since many smoke, hack, cough, they put paper bags of groceries on laps of passengers, and and wet dirty floors by their wet dirty feet Some vehicles smell so badly of wet dog, cat urine, cigarettes and marijuana that I wouldn't want anything delivered by these vehicles, nor their non background checked passengers, and helpers
We have big problem here and they are delivering to the wrong addresses. And driving with children in the car. Nothing is being done. They use different names every week. The store associates know about it but can't do much. They say they are doing a investigation.
Store Associates are usually on payroll by these people cheating the system. It's all because as long as the items are delivered, Wally World doesn't care.

They try to circumvent these id checks from stores by doing shop and delivers. Thank fully after a lady got caught stealing, they check the name on the order and ID at the door. 2 years too late
Apparently, some drivers were sent a notification that their accounts had been hacked. That means their ss numbers, and other sensitive info isn't secure in the Spark system. It's not a good situation. There is an article in Business insider about a week ago.
Yeah I saw that article and hopefully will have a video about that very soon. There were a couple hundred people that had all their SSN and personal information stolen. unacceptable.
I looked into a scammers car while they were inside and they had a car battery hooked to jumper cables attached to something I could not tell what it was. A week later another completely different scammer car had the same setup what could it be for? The car battery was behind the drivers seat on the floor were you put your feet (both cars)
I bet that they are using that to charge phones. Car AC (alternating current) power has to be converted to DC so it takes longer to charge their (probably) 10 phones. I imagine it's some sort of janky converter setup
Of course it's illegal to fraudulently work under someone else's name. But more importantly, Walmart is at fault here for breach of contract. Looking at Walmart's judicial past, they have been guilty for just about everything you could think of. I believe there needs to be some kind of class action lawsuit that encompasses the whole United States if possible and lawyers should pull out all the stops in such a case, because we all know that Walmart will try to strong arm any opposition in court because they have the money to hold out as long as need be.
Completely agree! I’ve seen this very thing at our store! HOWEVER: How do we know Walmart and Spark aren’t coordinating this? I beleive this is an unspoken conspiracy! These two are in a symbiotic relationship; both want good metrics, and if they are lagging, Spark does well to secretly coordinate the recruitment of illegals and plant them in underperforming stores. The Walmart store closes its eyes and denies knowing anything! I've noticed this as I have monitored it for two years now. When the recruitment "troop" comes in, it’s during a high-demand time, Holidays, know high volume periods…. If the store does not perform well, Walmart members have their orders canceled. If they are not delivered timely or often enough, then they do not renew their membership or cancel it- this represents hundreds of thousands $ each month... This puts Spark and Walmart in a bad situation. I've called 2nd tier support several times to insinuate this strategy but have never gotten a response; most of the time, I have not received an incident report number. Surprised? No! This “troop” is organized, and they have a truck or SUV parked outside the parking lot with an antenna array - then one guy passes out phones to the 5-9 guys, and they walk into the store. They initially come in with a female, and eventually by themselves with 2 phones. This female is probably the person selling their freshly minted account and the Anchor person (baby, if you catch my meaning) giving them access to illegal entry into Spark. Once they are in, all the orders for other legitimate Spark drivers are left in the cold. No orders come through for many hours. The order offers stop!!!
I've recently been accepted to Spark, but haven't done any orders because of this exact reason. I haven't even activated my Branch account yet. Walmart needs to get this under control. I don't trust Walmart & Spark!
i was talking to one associate that i got to know. he said that they can not check IDs and if they do then the manager or person in charge says give it to them. so they are frustrated with the system as well

They don’t require us to drive a specific car. As an independent contractor we are allowed to drive which ever vehicle is required to do the job. Also we are allowed to use rentals as well. I was involved in an accident and my car was in the shop for over a month. I had a mental for the first 30 days and then a loaner vehicle from a friend for a couple of weeks until my car was repaired. Under your restrictions I wouldn’t have been able to drive either. Even though I was acting well within the law and TOS.
Inside of my.ddiwork.com you have to provide proof of insurance for the car that you drive (listed by the VIN#). Walmart knows what car you should be driving. This is fine for about 6 months periods of time but once your insurance coverage ends for that insurance policy Walmart will either inform you to update your car information or deactivate you. I agree that it's totally possible to use rentals and other cars but it's not a long-term solution unless you keep insurance on the other car that you should be driving with.
I turned them in and reported to walmart spark and store. Of these people doing this. I believe it was the reason I got deactivated the same day you did😢 . The store and support don't care😢😢
If you can’t even compete with people who are at a disadvantage with a language barrier at an easy job, you should try getting a real job that you might qualify for. Janitorial services are usually hiring.
What if a person rather drive for spark than be a janitor? So basically you're saying, Law abiding citizens that take the moral and fair approach should yield to those who cheat and break the system? Take pride in your work and appreciate the opportunity to earn money at your own convenience, because there aren't many jobs out there that offer better flexibility. People can respect hard workers even if they're janitors. What people don't respect is any like at any level job constantly whining about the job they chose to accept. I'm the case of gig app drivers, this problem magnified because every order is a job they choose to accept or decline. Either accept the job for what it is or find a different one. We expect prima donna's in jobs that have high requirements, but seeing it in an entry level job is plain silly. At some point you have to put in real work to get ahead. One thing they’re doing also is using the iphone as a wifi spot to connect to the android phone. You cant download the bot on apple devices unless its jailbroken. Android you can use all kind of bot apps and etc……
I got a Jessica "driver" and a guy showed up. Asked where is Jessica? Oh, I'm helping her out. She wasn't in car. I contacted Walmart and Spark. Like its yoing to do any good. On dashing trader, there were a lot of "Jessica's in that feed. Good lord. That lady was obviously hacked big time.
The problem of illegal drivers on fraudulent based on likely stolen IDs is just a walmart spark problem. It's a problem in all the gig-apps right now. Most driving unregistered/uninsured vehicles. The gig-companies don't care. Until (unless) the issue is forced on them, they won't do anything about it other than token actions and token lip service. They'll keep saying things like "It's against our TOS" etc. as if that addresses the problem.
Token actions won't cut it. Time for gig-apps to step up and address these problems head on. Too many people have lost their livelihoods because of this shit that no company wants to address.

Also Walmart in Greenville tx. They will send out a batch order for 35 to 45 dollars and after you show up to pick up the batch order, they will cancel two of them and only give you one after you excepted the batch order and drop down to 8 dllrs. When there's a big tip, you won't get it, Walmart will delete the whole transaction of delivery order and keep the tip money.
They just text the person that they purchase the account from and then the person logs in and take a face scan and then the illegal worker can continue

I think that this is going on in all delivery platforms. Dd in my area has huge groups of drivers congregate together. Working together. I think they get a low ball order and let it go around their group declining it till it gets “high enough to accept” I’ve gotten a lot of no tip orders that are actually good $$ you wouldn’t know that they were zero tip. So I thank them but they are often surprised when I show up for an order. One guy literally was in a restaurant appeared to be waiting and I came in said the customer name and his head literally whipped around so fast I’m surprised he wasn’t injured. I had just come from delivering to one of his group 3-4 stores down and I mentioned this. He looked not happy. Now my goal is to get at least one order per day in their area.
Any update on how to get your account back active. No one reached back out and it was because the customer said they did not receive an item when it was Walmart that bagged it. It's been 7 months and no one has reached out even after I submitted appeal after appeal and email after email. Probably why people are doing everything they can to get to spark cause Walmart is kicking people off without any proof or notice.

I have been deactivated since June 6 th,used to work 6 to 7 days of the week several appeals and nothing heard from the want a bee appeals team,nobody no anything,he'll ya can at least let me no why,and if someone stole my account because I'm not active,but some else maybe,I liked to no,because at end of the year,it's tax time under my ss number,something to think about
I'm seeing this in my area as well, Walmart needs to put more security and how you get to be a spark driver and also they need to be aware that these illegals can also be doing this for the reason to stake out people's homes and later on get them when they're not there or whatever their illegal activities they want to do. I'm not sure. It could be for other items such as gas canisters like aerosols. This has been brought up before and it seems that it's a flaw in their inventory list thinking that some items need a ID check for even though it's not required.
I had a guy show up with his little kid. I really doubt that was legal, but I didn't say anything. I was more upset that they were putting all my stuff on the porch next door.

I don't agree with the idea that spark should be providing benefits that full-time jobs do. Everyone takes this job knowing exactly what it is. If your family needs more than what you can get from this, and also needs benefits a different type of employment is needed. This is what is meant when people say spark wasn't meant to be a full-time job. It's a part-time job that you can put more hours into.

My Spark account has been hacked I know it! I can't log in ..try to change password and nothing gets sent to my email so that I can respond with the code that was sent It keeps sending me in a loop and I call customer support Spark customer support and they keep saying that they're going to escalate it but they're not getting a hold of me either so I am able to work What do I do!! So frustrating!!!

We all signed the same terms for whatever gig we work for. It hasn’t stopped lawsuits. Esp class action.

Same here in Bozeman they are all Venezuelan and they are getting all the orders and us legal drivers are getting the scraps

Just an fyi, if you decide to do Amazon Flex, your driver's license has to be scanned with no issues before you can get a route at the station.

This poses huge liability issues for Walmart- God forbid if an illegal alien commits a crime against a customer. And that WILL happen Walmart. Also, Walmart is aware of this and does not appear to be doing much about it.

One of the security issues we have here is people that can't pass background checks delivering, and helping on deliveries as they're delivering for a relative, friend, or partner with a Spark account, or they're helpers and and passengers during curbside, and shopping deliveries
The passenger issues create some quality and health issues as well since many smoke, hack, cough, they put paper bags of groceries on laps of passengers, and and wet dirty floors by their wet dirty feet
Some vehicles smell so badly of wet dog, cat urine, cigarettes and marijuana that I wouldn't want anything delivered by these vehicles, nor their non background checked passengers, and helpers

We have big problem here and they are delivering to the wrong addresses. And driving with children in the car. Nothing is being done. They use different names every week. The store associates know about it but can't do much. They say they are doing a investigation.

Apparently, some drivers were sent a notification that their accounts had been hacked. That means their ss numbers, and other sensitive info isn't secure in the Spark system. It's not a good situation. There is an article in Business insider about a week ago.

I looked into a scammers car while they were inside and they had a car battery hooked to jumper cables attached to something I could not tell what it was. A week later another completely different scammer car had the same setup what could it be for? The car battery was behind the drivers seat on the floor were you put your feet (both cars)
I bet that they are using that to charge phones. Car AC (alternating current) power has to be converted to DC so it takes longer to charge their (probably) 10 phones. I imagine it's some sort of janky converter setup

Of course it's illegal to fraudulently work under someone else's name. But more importantly, Walmart is at fault here for breach of contract. Looking at Walmart's judicial past, they have been guilty for just about everything you could think of. I believe there needs to be some kind of class action lawsuit that encompasses the whole United States if possible and lawyers should pull out all the stops in such a case, because we all know that Walmart will try to strong arm any opposition in court because they have the money to hold out as long as need be.

Completely agree! I’ve seen this very thing at our store! HOWEVER: How do we know Walmart and Spark aren’t coordinating this? I beleive this is an unspoken conspiracy! These two are in a symbiotic relationship; both want good metrics, and if they are lagging, Spark does well to secretly coordinate the recruitment of illegals and plant them in underperforming stores. The Walmart store closes its eyes and denies knowing anything! I've noticed this as I have monitored it for two years now. When the recruitment "troop" comes in, it’s during a high-demand time, Holidays, know high volume periods….
If the store does not perform well, Walmart members have their orders canceled. If they are not delivered timely or often enough, then they do not renew their membership or cancel it- this represents hundreds of thousands $ each month... This puts Spark and Walmart in a bad situation. I've called 2nd tier support several times to insinuate this strategy but have never gotten a response; most of the time, I have not received an incident report number. Surprised? No! This “troop” is organized, and they have a truck or SUV parked outside the parking lot with an antenna array - then one guy passes out phones to the 5-9 guys, and they walk into the store. They initially come in with a female, and eventually by themselves with 2 phones. This female is probably the person selling their freshly minted account and the Anchor person (baby, if you catch my meaning) giving them access to illegal entry into Spark. Once they are in, all the orders for other legitimate Spark drivers are left in the cold. No orders come through for many hours. The order offers stop!!!
I've recently been accepted to Spark, but haven't done any orders because of this exact reason. I haven't even activated my Branch account yet. Walmart needs to get this under control. I don't trust Walmart & Spark!

They don’t require us to drive a specific car. As an independent contractor we are allowed to drive which ever vehicle is required to do the job. Also we are allowed to use rentals as well. I was involved in an accident and my car was in the shop for over a month. I had a mental for the first 30 days and then a loaner vehicle from a friend for a couple of weeks until my car was repaired. Under your restrictions I wouldn’t have been able to drive either. Even though I was acting well within the law and TOS.
Inside of my.ddiwork.com you have to provide proof of insurance for the car that you drive (listed by the VIN#). Walmart knows what car you should be driving. This is fine for about 6 months periods of time but once your insurance coverage ends for that insurance policy Walmart will either inform you to update your car information or deactivate you.
I agree that it's totally possible to use rentals and other cars but it's not a long-term solution unless you keep insurance on the other car that you should be driving with.

The gig app companies aren't going to change because they know as well as the drivers that the benefits and pay of the job are better than the alternatives that the drivers have. Take pride in your work and appreciate the opportunity to earn money at your own convenience, because there aren't many jobs out there that offer better flexibility.
People can respect hard workers even if they're janitors. What people don't respect is any like at any level job constantly whining about the job they chose to accept. I'm the case of gig app drivers, this problem magnified because every order is a job they choose to accept or decline.
Either accept the job for what it is or find a different one. We expect prima donna's in jobs that have high requirements, but seeing it in an entry level job is plain silly. At some point you have to put in real work to get ahead. We are all responsible for our own careers.
One thing they’re doing also is using the iphone as a wifi spot to connect to the android phone. You cant download the bot on apple devices unless its jailbroken. Android you can use all kind of bot apps and etc……
I got a Jessica "driver" and a guy showed up. Asked where is Jessica? Oh, I'm helping her out. She wasn't in car. I contacted Walmart and Spark. Like its yoing to do any good. On dashing trader, there were a lot of "Jessica's in that feed. Good lord. That lady was obviously hacked big time.
The problem of illegal drivers on fraudulent based on likely stolen IDs is just a walmart spark problem. It's a problem in all the gig-apps right now. Most driving unregistered/uninsured vehicles. The gig-companies don't care. Until (unless) the issue is forced on them, they won't do anything about it other than token actions and token lip service. They'll keep saying things like "It's against our TOS" etc. as if that addresses the problem.
Token actions won't cut it. Time for gig-apps to step up and address these problems head on. Too many people have lost their livelihoods because of this shit that no company wants to address.

Also Walmart in Greenville tx. They will send out a batch order for 35 to 45 dollars and after you show up to pick up the batch order, they will cancel two of them and only give you one after you excepted the batch order and drop down to 8 dllrs. When there's a big tip, you won't get it, Walmart will delete the whole transaction of delivery order and keep the tip money.
What about the face scan they make you do to log in to the app?
They just text the person that they purchase the account from and then the person logs in and take a face scan and then the illegal worker can continue

I think that this is going on in all delivery platforms. Dd in my area has huge groups of drivers congregate together. Working together. I think they get a low ball order and let it go around their group declining it till it gets “high enough to accept”
I’ve gotten a lot of no tip orders that are actually good $$ you wouldn’t know that they were zero tip. So I thank them but they are often surprised when I show up for an order. One guy literally was in a restaurant appeared to be waiting and I came in said the customer name and his head literally whipped around so fast I’m surprised he wasn’t injured. I had just come from delivering to one of his group 3-4 stores down and I mentioned this. He looked not happy. Now my goal is to get at least one order per day in their area.
Any update on how to get your account back active. No one reached back out and it was because the customer said they did not receive an item when it was Walmart that bagged it. It's been 7 months and no one has reached out even after I submitted appeal after appeal and email after email. Probably why people are doing everything they can to get to spark cause Walmart is kicking people off without any proof or notice.

I'm not sure. It could be for other items such as gas canisters like aerosols. This has been brought up before and it seems that it's a flaw in their inventory list thinking that some items need a ID check for even though it's not required.

I don't agree with the idea that spark should be providing benefits that full-time jobs do. Everyone takes this job knowing exactly what it is. If your family needs more than what you can get from this, and also needs benefits a different type of employment is needed. This is what is meant when people say spark wasn't meant to be a full-time job. It's a part-time job that you can put more hours into.

My Spark account has been hacked I know it! I can't log in ..try to change password and nothing gets sent to my email so that I can respond with the code that was sent It keeps sending me in a loop and I call customer support Spark customer support and they keep saying that they're going to escalate it but they're not getting a hold of me either so I am able to work What do I do!! So frustrating!!!
