Can this system be used also as a roof? meaning if I want to build an enclosure to get privacy and shade but something I can control the amount of light at any given moment?
I have an HOA in my town home. I want to do this vertically, but make them close flush to look like a privacy fence from the outside when closed. Template will be good but will need to figure out closing system.
Is that cedar? Dimensions of your deck boards? I know 81 1/2" long but how wide are they? Im trying to see how many boards i need for (2) 5'wide × 8' tall sections and how many hardware sets ill need. Plz respond
Do you know what Kind of Metal the brackets are? Do you have Problems with Rust? Same with the delivered screws? I think they will not be stainless Steel Right?

You can use any boards. You would need 2 kits to get 6’
