The LED display flickers on the video because it has something to do with the frame rate it's being recorded at. In actuality, the LED display does not flicker at all.
The air inlet has a fat and a skinny part so that it can fit both hoses. You do not need to unscrew it and screw in the other. You just switch hoses. The other is intended to be a spare. I once had to buy a spare for my Aoyue Int701A++ so it’s good that your station included one. As for it feeling cross-threaded: Mine feels the same way. The replacement too. I believe it’s supposed to feel that way so that you can’t over-tighten it. Indeed, it does not appear to have threads on the nipple piece at all… just some nubs that interface with the threads on the station’s port.
@Arnoldo Jose Paris Monagas After using it for many months, I have not had a problem with it except for the suction inlet cap. It never did screw-on properly - like it was cross-threaded. Also, it would have been nice to have a toggle switch for degrees F and degrees C. I can't get used to degrees C. I KNOW there are much better quality units out there. But for all you get, and for the money, it was a great buy.
Hello, I bought a similar model of this soldering station, but I have a question, How is working the unit? If you can tell me like a good review from the soldering station I appreciate that. Thanks and Greetings From Venezuela South America.
when change from c to f on temp its "always" one temp adjust button from each tool you press at the same time.for 3.5 sec.on mine it is like i wrote.so if you press down temp on one tool you press up on the other or the other way around.confusing-I hope it helps
Thanks for the reviews.I am considering buying a rework station which one is the best value for money and just to know which is the best in your opinion.
Iqbal: I don't have first-hand experience with all of the rework stations available. But I can tell you that, for the money, the Aoyue 2703A+ was a great value for me.
the unit have programeble iron temp corection that you can adjust the same for hot airgun. It have sleep funktion on iron that you can adjust the time it must be still before it goes to sleep.(it goes down to 200 degrees celsius when it sleeps.thin solder melts around 250-260 degrees celsius.some programeble features on heat gun to.i gess you have work out those.Good luck.Hope its corect advise this time. Its liftet a model that locks the same.
swap out or put in a o.ring in the hose cap to get i air tight seal.?just a idea.have seen others svap out or put in o.ring-the chines o.ring or rubber seals are often rotten when new.its falling apart almost when its made he he.they have much bad rubber seals that i know
to change from celsius to farenheith its different on those models.turn off then press and hold iron temp down while you turn it on.display should say F. I wrote the prosedyre to go from f to c also, its the temp up but else the same
I'm not impressed with my Aoyue 2703A+. As soon as I unboxed it, there was loose hardware rattling inside the case. I opened it up and found a nut plate on the bottom of the case and also the IC1 chip wasn't pushed all the way into the holder.
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. To answer your question, is the Aoyue 2703A+ the BEST all-in-one system? Probably not. But for the money, it's a very good deal and well worth it. You won't find a less expensive all-in-one system. Let me add that extra tips, heating elements, and consumables are also readily available AND inexpensive!
Do you still have this station in your possession? I bought one and the soldering iron is not getting hot. The desoldering gun gets hot if connected to either port. I think the soldering iron is wired wrong. Would be willing to to take your soldering iron apart and pin it out?
Yes. I still have it. If the de-soldering iron works in both ports, this would mean that the ports are good. Knowing this, if the soldering iron does not heat up, first try the obvious by making sure the soldering tip is pushed ALL the way into the handle. If this doesn't work, make sure the heating element is connected securely and wired properly. If that doesn't work, then I would say replace the cord, heating element and/or soldering tip. Let me know if any of this works. If not, I can probably pin out the soldering iron for you.
I think my tips might be defective. This new station came with one tip (WQ-2B) and I bought a second tip from a different seller (WQ-1404). The seller of the station sent me a second solder iron and neither tip gets hot in either iron.
Hi there, Thanks for your complete guide. I did some changes to the inlet cap to avoid your problem: Bought three air pressure Y shape (8mm) parts and four switch's (also 8mm) so I have all four (*) tubes connected and never had to take the inlet out, just turn each switch "on" and "off" (easy) to select the source, and all "on" when I need to use the HOT GUN (more air), a bit expensive parts (30€) but a working solution. (*) tubes used: - Soldering Iron. (stock) - Desoldering Gun. (stock) - Air Pickup tool (bought separately) with some small mods (ua-cam.com/video/DjpvpYQPezo/v-deo.html) that allow removal of components (hotted with the gun) and also placing of SMD components on a PCB. Extra: - Second Soldering Iron (on the Desoldering Gun plug that I don't use very often) with a small modification to turn Smoke Absorver "ON" with a switch (remember - disabled when the Desoldering Gun plug is on because the gun has a switch)... I'm only searching for the power plugs (for the devices "2x" female and "1x" male) to have both "Desoldering Gun" and the Second "Soldering Iron" always connected (less wear and tear) and then only a Switch to either select one or the other :), and my setup will be complete :D. Unfortunately the connector isn't a standard type and although the male part is easy to take from a spare soldering iron plug, the female (like the one on the station) isn't.
Great ideas! Such a great idea that a few months ago I used a similar mod on the air inlet on my soldering station. I decided to use an inexpensive aquarium air hose manifold. Like this one: www.amazon.com/Aquarium-Inline-Manifold-Splitter-Control/dp/B00EZC2Q10. Now I have all the air hoses connected at once and I simply rotate the valve for whichever hose I want to have suction. No more swapping hoses. When I get some time I'll do a short video of it.
Watch This Hello Watch This, sorry for the late reply :) I did manage to source the connector parts (both female and male) from ebay, so I end up using doubling ( the two outs are now four): Using two switch's for each station output: 1- Soldering has now two (Both solderings irons[*]). 2 - Desoldering has two (Desoldering and soldering iron). [*] one without fume extraction because sometimes the metal pipe get's in the way :( of the soldering job... I bought the same part as you (Animal fish store) but it's was too narrow and the station loss some pressure on both smoke extraction and de-soldering so I had to use something with a high diameter. Now I'm asking a friend help (3D printer) to put all together (AIR IN and four AIR OUT's, also two Wire's IN and four Wire's OUT) in one box :) Regards, FJorgeR.
you press temp down on hot airgun and temp up on the solder iron at the same time for 3-5 sec and it will apear a c or f when in that stae turn one knob on the station that wil change it fro c if that is ehat it show,to f.Hwen it say f you wait some sec and it stores.you can adjust how many degrees drift you axept and time it takes for iron to slep when it is still. The same for hot airguns drifT of temp under work you can adjust that ther to.button combination for those other settings i can come back to when i have chekt it on my station. Its baisicly the same with all of the simelar chines brands
correction.after down temp button hotairgun and temp up button on iron is hold in at same time for 3-5 sec and the f or c shows up in the display you changes the parameter with temp up on airgun or temp.only press one them for change from C to F down on iron.on mine it dosent matter wich tools button i use it stores on both enyway on mine.
Hi leohobb leohobb. I tried what you instructed and, unfortunately, it didn't work on my system. Nothing changed after holding for 3-5 seconds and I don't have a "knob" to turn. It was certainly worth a try, though.
Nice station but dead for me after a short circuit on the air pistol...I have change the power resistance protection but nothing. But have does his time for 100$. I have buy an Aoyue 2901 for solder. She's amazing ;) Aoyue nice quality but have a low cost model. No buy the basic! Sry for my english.
hi need to check internal fuse inside rear pcb board, this machine if have shortcut include 2 fuse inside machine, also on big resistor, if you check sure find the solution
?? Yes a big 4.7 ohms, power resitor. Is clean.I have bought a bag of resistor. I'm electronican...I have change the soic 8 and the OP ampli, but i have not resolve the problem. i think my problem was on the set board. Sorry for my english (i m french) have a good repairs guys

Great review on the Aoyue 2703A+ Soldering Station.
Thank you for the compliment!

From experience it is far better to get used to Celsius since it is pretty much the WORLD STANDARD. Conversion is simple to do if needed.

Yes

Wow. That's a recipe for potential disaster.
Volume to low, hard to hear you even on full vol setting ...
Thanks for making this vid I am considering buying this product, do you think it's worth the money?

4:47 this pad is used to hold BGAs to clean them
No, he is absolutely right: It is for pulling the cartridge/tip when hot. Many irons include them.
@@emmettturner9452 you are right, i didn't know that 5 years ago 😅.

If you can please pin it out. I have posted some photos of the wiring on my soldering iron. bgamods.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=4466

Use the connector top key and bottom notch to reference the pins.

+Fernando Rocha Great info! I was thinking about doing this after reading the Amazon reviews about not having a second air inlet.
I think you can change from Celsius to fareheith, all other station fromt them i have tried you can do that.
Really? Would you be able to tell us how to do that? I would greatly appreciate it.
I would like to know how to change it from C to F. Do you know how to accomplish this?
