With your pleasant personality and knowledge I predict your channel will grow quickly . This is one coach girl that is looking forward to your next video. 👜💕
This was super helpful. I'm new to the vintage coach, and the cleaning process will definitely be cut in half with those wipes. I'm so glad I found your channel. Also how do you deal with discoloration on corners and when the leather starts to crack on them?
There are many techniques by hydration is the key most will tell you. Using a good leather conditioner. Letting it dry and using more. Sometimes, a product like black rocks is needed in small doses. As far as ‘cracking’ I would need to see what you are talking about. I do have a repair technique for ‘torn’ piping that I hope to do a video on soon:) Thank you so much got your lovely comment!
Hey just saw this message! Sorry for missing it! Did you end up getting any Sunshine Cloths? I have discovered there are knockoffs and the knockoffs do not clean nearly as well. In fact, I find them worthless:/ Need to do an update regarding this finding.
@@darlenefernandes442 I buy off Amazon. Beware, cheaper ones are fake & don’t work nearly as well. And please, if you use to clean hardware, don’t clean them on the bag. You don’t want to rub this on the leather itself;) I remove hardware, except for the zipper of course 😘
@@lorcashine that is verdigris and it will get all over the cloth but that is OK. What you can do first is remove most of it with a spent dryer sheet. It really helps pick up that sticky verdigris.
@@birdybloom2 Oh, great. I am afraid to get cleaning liquid or polish remover cream on it, so this feels a lot safer. I'll be sure to check out your other Coach cleaning videos too. I'm just watching another of yours, but the hardware isn't green on that one. Now I feel bad for leaving this bag for years without looking at it after I bought it at a thrift store! Hope the verdigris didn't cause any permanent damage. Love this tip! Thank you so much.
what brand are they ? i’ve been using blue magic and while it does a great job and adds a protective layer on it - i only like using it before i dunk cuz it’s messy !
They are called Sunshine cloths BUT I have learned that real sunshine cloths have fakes:/ I got some for a little cheaper and they aren’t the same so I went back. If you buy the ones that come in the tube then those should work. The vendor I have used has already changed packaging and I’m afraid will end up going to a ‘fake’ sunshine cloth. Vendors tend to do that on Amazon once they get a large amount of good reviews….they should come individually wrapped and be bright yellow for the most effective. I just wipe with a water wipe after if not dunking!
That is a #9164 (the East West) and it is larger than the bag shown in the video (#9167 Top of the Counter Compartment). I actually have both again now so should do a visual comparison in the two! They look the same just different sizes ;)
What method do you use to successfully remove the brasso from the cloth in the instances where you used Brasso but were quick to remove it from the cloth? I was thinking water and a tooth brush?
When I have cleaned the zipper with brasso, I use either water only baby wipes and clean with brasso then wipe with wipes constantly. If I know I’m going to dunk immediately after cleaning the zipper with brasso then I will use water and a toothbrush and a dab of dish soap to clean constantly and rinse as I go. I don’t link this method and much prefer sunshine cloths. I also wipe with water wipes after cleaning with sunshine cloths.

Oh my goodness! Thank you so very much for the love Linda!!
Wow! I think I'm going to be done with Brasso, too. This looks much less messy and better for bags I don't want to dunk.
I still use brasso on other hardware though. I remove all hardware that I can remove though.
GREAT information - thank you so much, was just getting ready to get some Brasso and dig in to some of my older bags - this seems much less daunting!!
So satisfying! I use those too! They are great! 😊

Wow! Didn’t know about polishing cloths. I’ve been using Brasso and it’s messy. I’ll get some if these. TFS🤩

What if the zipper has turned green? Not sure how to get that off without staining the cloth as you mention. Thanks!

How do your remove the tags for cleaning?
The ball chains on these tags are easily removable. Search ‘how to open and close a ball chain for a video;)
@@birdybloom2 thank you 😊
