The thing about this scene is, beside the actors perfect chemistry and beautifully choreograph fighting moves, it was beautifully shot too. The camera's practically glide over them, move gracefully with them, and shot at the right angle everytime. The use of a slowmotion effect was done perfectly, only on important point in the choreography to help us see it better and not all the time like other show/film tend to do. Also the use of lighting is really artistic, not only they deliberately use only one source of bright light, which is behind those eccentrict decorative wall with a lot of holes on it, they also added more dim litted wall decorations that gives off "mood" lighting from all the candles and those shiny runes in the wall, thus made this supposed "fighting" scene looks intimate af. Gosh no wonder we couldn't help but keep on replaying it 🙈 also the music is just 👌
This scene makes me think of the fact that in the books they have a warlock child (Max) and a shadowhunter child (Rafael) and they decided to educate them together, meaning that both Max and Rafe will learn how to fight as shadowhunter and while Max will be trained to be a warlock and Rafe will learn a few tricks. Seriously, Malec are the best parents❤️

The thing about this scene is, beside the actors perfect chemistry and beautifully choreograph fighting moves, it was beautifully shot too. The camera's practically glide over them, move gracefully with them, and shot at the right angle everytime. The use of a slowmotion effect was done perfectly, only on important point in the choreography to help us see it better and not all the time like other show/film tend to do. Also the use of lighting is really artistic, not only they deliberately use only one source of bright light, which is behind those eccentrict decorative wall with a lot of holes on it, they also added more dim litted wall decorations that gives off "mood" lighting from all the candles and those shiny runes in the wall, thus made this supposed "fighting" scene looks intimate af. Gosh no wonder we couldn't help but keep on replaying it 🙈 also the music is just 👌

This scene makes me think of the fact that in the books they have a warlock child (Max) and a shadowhunter child (Rafael) and they decided to educate them together, meaning that both Max and Rafe will learn how to fight as shadowhunter and while Max will be trained to be a warlock and Rafe will learn a few tricks. Seriously, Malec are the best parents❤️
