I don't think romantic love is real or special, and I think romantic relationships are a bad thing. I think humans should just stop being in romantic relationships. I feel like this world would be a much better place without romance than it is with it. Romance seems like an ugly thing. Many fathers are hoping that their daughters never date or get married and remain single for their whole life due to the dangers and risks of romantic relationships. It seems nearly all fathers don't ever want their daughter to have a boyfriend/husband. The overprotective father thing is proof that romantic relationships are a bad thing, and that this world would be a much better place without them. If someday that the human race ditches the concept of romance and romantic relationships, and got rid of stuff like dating and marriage, fathers would be happy about it since they wouldn't ever have to worry about their daughters ever dating if that ever happened. People (especially women) should avoid being in a romantic relationship and be single for life since romantic relationships are dangerous.
How is romance a beautiful thing when most fathers hope that their daughter never finds a partner and remain single for her whole life due to the dangers and risks of romantic relationships? Most fathers seem to get upset and angry whenever their daughter dates someone, and that proves that romantic relationships are a bad thing. Being single is far safer than being in a romantic relationship. People should avoid romantic relationships and be single.
@@snowycoldcool4115 I agree that this comment seems misplaced, but this is certainly true, and I've said this to others as well: If men were so trustworthy in relationships, then why are dads, brothers etc so alarmed about boyfriends, and even go so far as to threaten them? I don't blame those who want to stay single. I want to remain single too, but I made that decision before I even knew of the various dangers. I just don't see how it would benefit me. I actually hate the way Peter was portrayed in the second movie. It looks like he's some caveman. he's liked Lara Jean since the 6th grade when he first saw her. Then lara jean began liking him in 7th grade but couldn't make a move because her bff at the time liked peter. Lara jean and Peter had no idea they both had mutual crushes. So when lara jean and Peter kissed at a party, she couldn't tell him she liked him coz her bff wanted to date him. Meanwhile, peter had no clue the girl he liked aka lara jean actually liked him back. So when Gen aka laras bff asked him out, he said yes and started dating her. Then finally in 11th grade, where the first movie starts, Lara Jean and Peter interact for the first time in a while after Peter and Gen break up. The real reason Peter approaches Lara jean is because he's thrilled she's liked him back this whole time but he pretends to fake date her so he could get back with Gen.
