Hi guys latest update, 7/9/23: the SD drive/ mp3 player of the new pair of Wissonly Hi Runners stopped connecting to my computer. The computer no longer recognizes the headphones as a storage drive. I have not taken them into the sauna this time around. Too bad because I really liked using the mp3 player to play language tracks repeatedly...

Update... I received a replacement pair of Wissonly Hi Runner from the company. We suspect the high temp sauna was the cause of the malfunction. I love the mp3 function on these headphones and use them for language learning.

Thanks, Carl! I would like to know how does the sound leak compare to others u have used? Thx!

I think this might be slightly more noise leak than the aftershokz but only if its up at full volume which is uncomfortable for me anyways.

Hey guys, heads up my Wissonly HI Runner SD (mp3) mode stopped working and they now automatically shut off without reason. I'm hoping that maybe they are water logged and will function properly within a day. I will be contacting the company and see what they say. This is after only 3 months or so of using them.

Where can I learn how to download a book from Audible to my MP3 Bone conduction headphones.

Hi, it seems that you and I have some aligned interests. I also use my audio devices for learning languages while I’m exercising. I use an iPhone and my preferred platform is the Apple Podcasts app on which I’m subscribed to dozens of language podcasts. Managing this is simple enough on land where I can carry my phone and seamlessly stream to my headphones via Bluetooth no matter if I’m doing the groceries or jogging. But once you introduce swimming to that mix it becomes more complicated.
My system has been to put my iPhone into a very cheap watertight plastic sleeve with a headphones jack but it’s a pretty unsatisfying solution for me. I’m still searching for that silver bullet solution, which allows me to seamlessly use the same headphones with all my different activities without needing to download files and reload them onto a secondary device. The problem with podcasts is they’re constantly renewing, unlike music which you can sort of load onto the device once and that’s it. I just find the process of managing files to be frustrating.
Are there any other solutions that you have experimented with that you could recommend?

Hi thanks for the message Seychellian. Are you using a different bone conduction headphone for your gym workouts on land? If you do a lot of podcasts I highly recommend switching over. Update on this pair in the water... I've found that even with downloading the mp3 files directly to the headset I prefer to swim with my ears and mind "free". I do use the waterproof headphones in the jacuzzi , locker room etc. I heard from a swimmer that they bought a pair of radio controlled wireless headphones which work in the water. Bluetooth is fine on surface and short range but if you submerge or get beyond 20 feet the headset disconnects from the phone. If you find something let me know!

@@McLartyFilms hey there. No I don’t use bone conduction headphones. The impression I got was that they’re good for swimming as you avoid the water in the ears issue but the sound is inferior to in the ear options. I listen to probably 15 podcasts in the course of one day and I have my iPhone configured to download then onto my device 10 in advance and then just delete them once I’ve listened to them and it works really seamlessly for me. The other issue is that I don’t think you can remove the podcasts from the iPhone as there are copyright issue and Apple makes it difficult to bypass those securities. What would be great is if Apple made their iPhone IXP8. You would think that would be something that aligns with their company image. Sports and fitness and all that. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I know you can pause, play, and skip forward to the next track or back. I don't think forward and rewind works.
