Hey Alex I have a few tips for you that should help everyone!! :)
1. When recording, pay attention to proximity effect, it's easy to overlook and the closer you are to the mic the more it will sound like there is a blanket on your voice
2. Parallel compression, never not do this, you will never beat radio mixes if you don't use it
3. Black box plugin at the end of a vocal chain is a literal cheat code
4. Reverb completely changes the EQ of a vocal and can make or break your tone, choose wisely! Capitol Cambers for pop, or Shimmer for a club style are great options!

best thing at first is to 100% clean your vocals, eq bad stuff because if you compress first you compress those bad thing too and its hard to get rid of later in mix. but great video !

You double the main vocals but one question : is it the main vocals recorded twice or you just vopy and paste the first Audio file with the main vocal ?

If you double the same stem it can lead to phase issues so I would imagine most likely not.

Im a singer-songwriter and am recording my own stuff now as I've had some poor producers at the studios near me... with vocals, obviously ou have the main track, your doubles (same octive and also different) and harmonies, is there a such thing as overkill (vocal layers) for rock influenced pop music?
How loud should i set the volume of doubles and harmonies?
I write piano songs. How would i set the echo and reverb for it to sound like a small room but with amazing acoustics? 🙏

Eh, took me a while too. It just takes praxtixe fr. You need to xompress them down, then remove unwanted noise, fix your “slurs”, etx. -then do unique “layerin’”. Then you’ll be impressed. Don’t overkill them with unnexessary or to muxh AutoTune/AutoPitch.
