I held out as long as I could but once I felt like I was getting bored of the car I got a intake, turbo back and pro tune. Made it feel like a whole new car again and drives so much nicer now
Yeah that's super tempting, but power modding starts the race to a blown engine. I'll be doing the same thing once my warranty is up, though!
my 2020 sti was recently hit by another car while i was parked. there was damage and i needed a new bezel and new bumper. when I was putting the bezel in, i had the same issue that you had where it wouldnt snap in all the way. to fix it, I had to take it off again and use a heat gun on the tabs that hold it in place to bend them back where they should be. that fixed it!
One of the first parts to crap out on my 2017 was that Subaru OEM battery. I highly recommend upgrading to a more durable / reliable battery like the Optima Yellow Top. This upgrade is really just preventative maintenance so you dont end up having to jump the battery and risking electrical / wiring issues. Great tutorial... Ill keep an eye out for new content.

Looks great. Get a silicone backing for your license plate. $10 and protect that paint and gets ride of any rattle from the speakers or vibration caused by the exhaust. I have to get those lights. What a big difference something so simple made.

You should paint the chrome and amber in your headlights. Look so much cleaner blacked out. Once I did mine it was well worth the time and effort.

You could add some tail light tint to the reverse/turn signal portion to change up the look just a little bit. Really transforms how they look in general.

if you plan on keeping it long term. at the very least put an AOS and at some point ELH. i hear cylinder 4 is the one of concern of heat. good luck.
For those who plan to do this, make sure you disconnect the negative battery terminal before you do any of this. You run the risk of shocking yourself if you don’t.
You're not gonna shock yourself with 12v, lmao
The biggest risk would be messing up the install and blowing fuses or damaging the new parts.
disconnect the battery before you start putting metal tools onto it. learnt the hard way

I like Subarus but I don’t like stick shift Is the CVT Worth getting for a daily driving?
Honestly I don’t mind driving stick as a daily lol, but then again I don’t drive that far.
CVT tranny is trash, if you wanna daily it they're fine just no added power they aren't made for it

hello! yes you need the harness to connect the bezels to the OEM harness ! I’m sure if you’re a wiring genius you could create a bypass but i decided to go with a plug and play option :)

Did you reach out to sub.wu and ask them about the fog bezel? Lot of money for an ill-fitting part (maybe that what you get for reproductions) Also, your license plate lights are overkill. Some $10 Sylvania 168 LED bulbs (2 candle power) do just fine vs those 50+ lumen ones you got (primarily for Crosstreks/Outbacks). The ones you have cast way too much light behind you. Great when camping and you need to see the ground; not so great on a dark road for driver's behind you.

Looks like you blocked off a lot of air flow to the brake ducts by the way. You might not care.
