Today we take a look at the recent surge in popularity of Minecraft, how Pewdiepie revived Minecraft and made the game popular again. Or did he? Google Trends suggest it was already coming back but Felix's push may have helped tremendously. We analyze this and more in today's video. There are many Minecraft channels doing really well right now - JackSepticeye following in Felix's footsteps, even James Charles, who surprisingly is very good at the game - and of course with major events like Minecraft Monday, it feels like the phenomenon created by Notch in 2009 is not going anywhere even a decade later. So let's sit back and enjoy the ride. Just like Pewdiepie riding Joergen towards the setting sun. Or like Sven riding the minecart into the tunnels beneath Felix's Minecraft mansion. Whenever I tried to watch any minecraft series people usually already knew what they were doing because they had played minecraft in their own time. Whenever I asked questions people would kind of mock me for not knowing things about a game that had existed for so long already. Pewdiepie was a fresh start to learn along with him, I'd get tricked just like him and it's just way more fun. His storytelling indeed is great, but even just the episodes itself, every episode he would go on a new adventure and he would only know a little bit about it. Enough to know why he was going there, but just little enough to be surprised and amazed by everything. He's the reason I started liking minecraft and now I even play it with some friends from time to time.
The series revive that emotion from being new in minecraft and wanting to discover everything without even knowing how to craft a chest, like a nostalgia journey

rewatching his Minecraft series from Summer of 2019 has become a tradition for me every Summer. I always start a new Minecraft world in June or July and watch/listen to his series on a tablet next to my monitor. My wife left me on July 5th of 2019 and this series + Stardew Valley got me through that divorce. it was a dark time. this series came out at the perfect time for me. 😎❤️

Wrong. Strictly animating would be a gross waste of his other skills. He did not simply animate in this video. He did so much more than simply animate. Narrating, writing, editing, animating, I assume he created the character models as well as animated them. He has much more potential in building his own UA-cam channel's success. Not assimilating into Felix's already massive channel, while staying in the shadows and taking almost no recognition simply as an animator. *Think before you speak.

Ive always played minecraft, since it first came out but when it died in popularity i kept playing even though people at my school made fun of me for it, but when it came back and started rising in popularity they started playing and it royally pissed me off that theyd have the nerve
But I really have been sticking with the game the whole time about 3 months before pewdiepie started to play minecraft I beat minecraft legit for the first time
I'm one of those guys who knows a lot about minecraft. Seeing Felix learn from his mistakes and have fun on his little world brought a lot of joy into my heart and I like that this game is now recognized for what his purpose is... nothing. No goal. No future. No tutorial. No instructions. Just fun and imagination.

Idk if ppl realize how much like a tv show pewds minecraft show is a pilot episode has the main character go through different situations until a nice conclusion at the end which is how a good pilot episode goes going through what will be important later a to b until the end to give you an idea of what the show will be and then the second episode is a contained episode about one of the last plot lines you brought up this is exactly what pewds series does and not a lot of gaming channels do that and it stays this way with an end goal and different plot points there's even a two parter after felix kicks it with villagers where their under attack this is good story telling even the characters like jorgen is someone you don't think to die bc he's been their since day one but he does and then sven a character he meets a lil later has been alive since this is another good thing to do so we're not just attached to one character knowing the new ones will die and losing interest plus it surprises us this is amazing pewdiepie can do whatever he wants with without it being some narrative made by some game company with bad dialogue it's his story like a tv show but still with the personal element of playing the game this series is a masterpiece love you PewDiePie
