Jazz Classics for the Young Ensemble - Grade 3
Vince Guaraldi's music provided a level of jazz sophistication for the popular Charlie Brown television specials, and his holiday offerings were some of the best! This appealing medley includes Linus and Lucy, Skating, O Tannenbaum, and Christmas Time Is Here.

Great! my only concern is it didn't play the whole song.
Modern Spirals Oh that’s because it’s only a demo
@@washington3897 all the other hal leonard vids are full, wonder why they wouldnt do this one?
I wish it could play the whole thing...I’m in the middle of learning it right now and I need to know a certain part of it by tomorrow...or at least how it goes.
they didn't even put all the parts in this recording and i cant find another one.
So mellow.
we're playing this in our big band at my school! :)
Started playing the bass part at school today in jazz band. So excitedddd
I play Clarinet, However there are two Jazz groups in my school, Jazz 1 and Jazz 2. Jazz 1 is more serious with way higher expectations and you need to audition for it. It is expected of you to know how to play you instrument at an advanced level in Jazz 1. However, In Jazz 2 you can choose whatever instrument you want even if you aren't the best at in and still join, no auditions required. Well Clarinet isn't considered a jazz instrument in our musical department so I decided to play Alto Sax, and honestly I can't wait. I've already practiced quite a lot and it and know most fingerings already and can sight read pretty well since the fingerings are similar to clarinet fingerings. We are performing this piece and it seems like a lot of fun. I can't wait!
My band will be playing this in Jazz band for Christmas

JAZZ BAND TROMBONE SOLO BOYS
Schmendy - NSMG I actually had that solo when my school played this for Jazz Band when I was a freshman.
There’s a trombone solo??
Correction: SLIDEbone.
Sorry I was in marching band just a couple weeks ago and one of the judges called the trombones “slidebones” and the trombones don’t want to be called anything else. They’re OBSESSED with that name now. 😂😂 I just wanted to share that with you, I didn’t want to actually correct you, it was a joke. I hope you find it as funny as the band did when we heard “slidebones” from the judge. 😂😂
Sorry, but does anyone know what measure the solo is? I'm pretty sure my jazz band is getting this piece and I have to play it from what I've heard so I just want to get an early peek. Thank you
Aquatic Maniac its about 6 or so measures after the sax solo ends. My school has played this song for three years now its not hard at all
rest in peace bell / vibes part
stanfoo there is no vibes part in this song so I played the top part of the piano on the vibes
Why does it end so early
It's a preview.

Uggghhh why did you have to stop, finish the song please!!!!
like if Mr. James brought u here
Bass is too loud/piano too soft in beginning
Swish King i think it sounds wonderful!
That's how it's meant to feel, a soft homey feel.
This recording kinda has a garbage guitar tone. I was expecting more of a Moonlight in Vermont by Ella Fitzgerald tone. To any guitar players playing this chart this fine Christmas go ahead and listen to the guitar on that song or Willow Weep for Me by Dizzy Gillespie and you'll know what I mean
Also if you're playing this on bass please use an upright
Good luck folks
Fudge you! Im using electric bass nO mAtTeR w0t U tElL m3
