Brandon you made me laugh when you jumped and the look on your face was priceless. Understand totally about the Racoons your livelihood comes first and the safety of your family you have a really good setup on your farm. I have grown up half my life on a farm with sheep, cows, ducks, chooks, goats all pets and unfortunately you experience quite a lot of disappointment with a lot of enjoyable outcomes as well. My Uncle owned a big dairy farm so we had fresh milk and homemade butter. Steph you do a great job behind the camera.

Congrats on the baby goats. As for the predators… it’s a part of the cycle of life, only the stronger will survive. Apparently the raccoons are smarter. If you cleaned up more with all the small trees and fallen wood, they wouldn’t have a place to hide out!!!

I dispatch any predator I catch in my live trap. Some people say relocate it.
Well the problem with that is they can come back or you're giving your problem to someone else. Consider others when dealing with predators.
Your problem shouldnt become someone else's.

The new babies are absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait to start getting our goat's. We haven't decided if we're going to get them soon or wait until spring. Raccoons can demolish a flock of birds quickly. I have seen them kill all the birds, steal the eggs and come back later to finish off the rest of a flock. Glad you're getting them under control before you loose anymore of your birds. Much Love from our family to your family 💞

Adorable goatlings! I'm glad you were able to open today's vid with so much bona-fide cuteness!
The raccoons can do a lot of damage, even if they got all your birds, they'd tear up all sorts of stuff looking for more food. You are smart to eliminate them. Relocating doesn't work because they remember things! Like where your coop is.

Many years ago we lived on a street that had greenhouses 2 doors down from us. Our Nextdoor neighbors owned the greenhouses. We had a big tomcat that we had neutered after he got into a couple of fights. He roamed our yard, the Nextdoor neighbors’ yard, and he got into the greenhouses. Our neighbors loved him because he kept the mouse and rodent population down in the greenhouses.

We saw Cry Babie's babies in on of Steph's videos a couple of days ago--the video where one of the babies was really sick--hope it was able to bounce back. Cabin/house is looking great. I live in the suburbs, and we have an awful problem with feral cats...they are everywhere. Be responsible, spay/neuter, vaccinate the animals instead of just throwing food out for them. They also will eat the wildlife. You have the right to do whatever you want with the animals that are caught...your property. Thanks
