1999, they had AI in games intelligent enough to kick grenades, drop and shoot, duck and cover. Incredible, groundbreaking progress it must have been. I'm still impressed by it 20 years later.
I used to play this with my dad! He’d control the person and I’d control the shooting ... or vice-versa. Thank you for posting, brought back many happy memories for me.
An excellent playthrough. Lobbing grenades around corners, accurate shots, evading enemy fire. Not just random running while taking a whole magazine from MP40, unlike many other MOH longplays around here. I salute you, sir.
@@DfactorLongplays The biggest problem of Underground - it's not balanced at all. In the original MOH you get gradually increasing difficulty - like, enemies switching from bolt-action rifles to submachine guns (paired with narrow hallways and rooms), and later even rocket launchers. In the Underground it's total mess. First, a mission with merely a pistol and molotovs, then, suddenly, you got incoming tanks and machine gun emplacements! And then again - just enemies with rifles. However, MOH Underground does have its unique atmosphere - it feels more like a horror game to me. Even though it might indeed look a bit tedious, a little to no damage run is possible - done it myself back in the days. I'd like to see your playthrough of it.
@@maranainfirmux777 The latest video is as far as I'll go. The prospect of restarting the level 100 times to get no damage does not sound good, in a game where enemies can shoot you through walls and hard difficulty removes all the joy from gunplay.
@@maranainfirmux777 It is partial no damage. I know that Default/Easy difficulty of MOHU matches the MOH's recoil. It literally changes how the guns behave, but I'm not sure if it also adjusts how often the enemies will shoot/hit you.

The sound is amazing in the game. The sound of the whistles of the Germans and their chatter in the distance. The sound of them running towards you is actually quite scary. Rumbling of bombs in the distance. This was an incredible game I used to play it with my dad. He loved it too.
Only game I can think of that had dogs "retrieve" grenades and bring them back to their owners like it was a game of fetch. Pretty funny addition to this game.
Hello, this month has been full of events for me. Did you like the E3? I'm back with a brand new video which features widescreen (higher FOV in missions) and overclock (stable 30 fps, almost no drops). On top of that this is my best performance of a MoH game so far, this is a partial no damage walkthrough, meaning some levels are completely damage-free, others have minimal damage sustained. Considering how this game handles gunfire (randomized chance of hitting you) this was quite a challenge for me. It took me 11 days to make this video. You can always compare this video to my old walkthrough and you'll see visual and framerate differences! Worth a mention that I'm going to attempt to stream Umbrella Corps tonight when it gets released on Steam. If all goes well then you can drop by!
What a classic, great memories ! I remember playing this and Medal of Honor underground. Still, can't wait to get my hands on Battlefield 1, what about you?
When i heard the narrator's voice, the sounds of the background music, the feelings of proud, sad, patriotic about world war 2 suddenly appear, things that cant be found on ps 2, 3, 4 consoles
WOW!!! Medal of Honor on PS1 classic. Wish they made a new one on PS3 & PS4 modern version to keep up with the "Call of Duty series. I liked Medal of Honor a little bit better.
Moh went to shit after it got to ps3 and especially with the ones covering the war in Afghanistan. Not that those weren’t good games, but they didn’t feel like ww2 MOH
Best days in my life when u i used to buy packs of m&ms and start playing till night ! Now call of duty and other games all about shooting no stories no spirit.. they dont even care about the background music or details which is the most important thing.
Works well in the second game as well. Strafing is very effective, as long as you're next to a wall, otherwise the splash damage is going to get you from behind.
the first mission of this game,,and the MoH games on ps1 and ps2 always gave me this weird lonely vibe when i played them,,,same with alot of japenese games,,,maybe bc i was an only child
medal of honor underground is very hard to get all things like medals, 3 stars and the list just goes on and on... that game is fun i just wanna press new game to lose all my progress to play it all over again but my dad doesnt let me to because together we struggled to get every level with 3 stars
About Underground... Its recoil system completely kills handgun sniping and makes it much harder to take out enemies due to the spray and pray nature of the combat. There are also a lot of sequences where you mount guns and end up getting a stray bullet in you. It would be nerve-wrecking in some cases. Also the rail shooting sequence is really unfair if you're going for 3-Star/Excellent rank. I'm not sure if I ever will, but I do have videos of Allied Assault on highest difficulty (which is even crazier than Underground, not no damage, though). Then again, this is partial no damage, since the first game also have some unfair sequences and enemies that tend to run around the corner and instantly shoot you.
@@DfactorLongplays I suppose a true no-damage run would be possible if you used some sort of tool to play the game one frame at a time, but I can't fathom how long it would take to reach the end of the game. That would be a big ask, surely!
to anyone wondering how to get 3-star ranking here goes: at the end of the level you must kill 95% of the enemies AND have at least 75% health otherwise you will not get a 3-star ranking this also applies to MOH: Underground
+Dfactor Longplays Who in the fuck is he and why does he want tribute for any of his music on YT? I am only because Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Harry Gregoson-Williams, Tommy Terreffico, etc., don't demand videos to be taken down that have their music in them.
