Shout out to your vise for holding on so tightly.
Very nice! That 4th axis is working very nicely for a DIY solution!
I think you could likely be more attractive with your roughing? Try reducing the stick out on the end mill (significantly). If you have clearance then prefer an appropriate size tool holder and the shortest stick out possible. Remember rigidity goes down with the 3rd power of length, so even a small reduction in stick out will make a big difference! 👍
Yes the 6mm endmill stick out was a bit extensive. That was due to the DC6 holder I used, unfortunately the 6mm endmill would need to be shortened to fit properly and I just broke the only one I adapted so far and did not want to go through the effort again at that point in time. Cutting carbide is somewhat tiresome.....
In the meantime I revisited the cam as I need to make two parts anyways and noticed that I can sefely use a er20 holder without any collisions for this part. So I will switch to this. However the stick out is not the only issue during roughing. I can get away with 0.2xD optimal load but it's pushing it at times and 0.1xD is just a safer approach and I'm not sanding too much time in roughing anyways.
@@kms-cnc-2 could you score the shaft of the carbide with something diamond then snap it?
Oh man beveling the sharp edges at the end... you sir are a master machinist.
Holy stickout batman. Thats a lot of small tools with a lot hangning out while hogging. Part looks pretty good though. I liked the putting the holes in before cutting the part, using a drill for rough then an end mill to enterprilate. Nice work.
yea that 4th axis needs some clearance here and there ;-)
how cool is that !!! awesome man
Thanks
Aktuelno pre 10 godina, nivo 4_axis , high speed machining !!!!
Awesome, very good job!
also deine 4. scheint sich zu Bewähren, wird das Dein Extruder oder ein Auftrag?
Ja die läuft super und eröffnet ganz neue Möglichkeiten
Awesome, very good ❤ 👏👏👏👏 like 486 full and subscribed 😉👍
That's a very fast machine!!
Not really. That video is played at 8x the speed 😉 (and I cut away all the tool changes which take roughly 60s each and I think there are about 14 or 15 of them 🤣)
여기서 사용하는 vise는 어디서 구매할 수 있나요?
yes
That's so cool 🤤
18-19 mins in real time?
~30min including all tool changes.
Hello ! Im verry impressed by your machine and i want to build one myself too ! Do u have any cad model ? thanks!
Hi. I decided to not publish the cad model. First of there are to many thinks that I would change when building a new one. Assembly can be quiet tiresome on this design. And I don't have time to support anyone who wants to build it.
@@kms-cnc-2 amazing work. if you decided to publish it I'll be in a Q waiting. promise - no questions my side )
@@kms-cnc-2 same for me i already have experience (i already have a small cnc wood and plastic capabilities). Thanks you in advance
is this on real time or speed up?
Running at 800% speed 😉
It must have accelerated many times
How do you like the mini Chinese vice?
I got one. Still need to make a mount for my 4/5ths
It's doing its job. But you get what you pay. I would not trust it if I needed to get 100% repeatable clamping. But for the work I do I typically can work with that as I cutting away material from all sides anyway.
@@KlausMichaelKMS al long as it grips solid and there is no part shifting you cannot ask more!
Can you make a vedio on your 4th axis
Have a look at main Chanel, there are videos of the build of the 4th Axis available.
Cam software
Fusion
cool part, my only critique is that you should run some optimization on your paths.
Yes fusion seems to add more and more air cuts to the adaptive tool paths. As those are mainly all one time runs only I tend to not invest too much time in tweaking the tool paths. Spending 10min for a 1min improvement does not make much sense when running the Programm only once
@@KlausMichaelKMSYep makes sense, if you ever turn it into production though.
It's beautiful 🥲
I thought it was going to be SpongeBob
Now tell me why you'd need a 3D printer if you have this? :)
🤣
Because 3d printing is a bit easier and for certain parts the cheaper and sometimes even better solution 😉
Overall both technologies perfectly complement each other.
Hi, fantastic work. Could you please contact me for a quote on some prototypes please?
Regards Rob
Hi
I'm not doing any commissioned work, I hardly find enough time for my own projects.
No worries thanks anyway
Robert, We can prototype 4 & 5axis. DM me.
Robert, we can make it. DM me.
I can do that better! 😅
Talk is cheap 😉
Go ahead and show a video where you do better. I'm always interested in other peoples solutions
Just kidding!!😊 It was a MAGNIFICENT work. Cheers!
😉
But to be honest I'm quiet sure that there better ways to approach this part.
NOT SUITABLE FOR MASS PRODUCTION. PROGRAM TIME LONG
Never said it would. Have a look at the explanation video on my main channel. I explain why I'm doing it this way.
