This family is one of the better ones. They were understanding and willing to learn and didn’t fight against the nanny’s advice. They were one of the few families who were over protective because they cared not just controlling like so many other parents.

I can understand them wanting to keep their children safe 100%, but the tighter the grip the more they'll fight back. Childhood is the time to scrape your knees, break bones, get down & dirty, & so forth.

Agreed. They just needed to loosen up a bit. It’s understandable that they preferred to err on the side of caution, but that can often be worked with, as JoJo demonstrated. They’re not bad people at all, they rightly care about their children’s safety, but pulled the leash too tight, so to speak.

Grandchildren are God's greatest gift! The love and bond is indescribable. We get to relax and enjoy them without life's distractions of working or consuming household responsibilities. It's just us and those babies, no matter how old they get. Mine are my heart! My reason for living. ❤

I remember Joe wearing that outfit in multiple shows. She all business the first day, glasses on, hair pulled back, and her professional outfit. I like on the 3rd day she looses up and wears more comfortable clothes and takes her hair down. I love her no nonsense attitude because she means business.

I understand that it’s normal for parents to be protective of their children. However, I think parents need to know when to let go. Otherwise, kids won’t know how to be independent. That’s why the kids were acting out. They were sick and tired of their parents overprotective nature.

@@humboldtborn8128 Exactly! Obviously, I’m not saying that parents should let their kids do dangerous stuff whenever they want. However, parents need to remember that life isn’t safe and that they should teach their kids how to keep themselves safe and let them figure it out for themselves instead of being helicopter parents. Especially when they were walking on their territory and they were freaking out about them walking ahead. That was ridiculous.

I’ve seen this one before. Twins r old enough to brush their own teeth & still in diapers. Looks like mom is pushing that brush down their throats. Discipline should have started with the daughter when she was born & than kept it up with the boys. Grandma should’ve have to deal with this. She’s raised her. Time for the parents raise theirs .

    • @Supersoccerchic

The twins aren't old enough to brush their teeth correctly and boys take longer to potty-train than girls so, it makes sense that the boys are still in diapers. Boys are generally harder to potty-train. I should know since my mom had my brother and he wasn't fully trained until he was 5, especially at night.

I can tell you right now there are for sure rattlesnakes in those pinewoods. There’s definitely cottonmouths by the water, possibly alligators. Also that’s a lot of property and children can get lost easily in the wood. They are way overdoing it. But I was a 6 year old that left the house alone on 75 acres most summers, I saw plenty of snakes, coyotes, alligators and whatnot, I got lucky in how that went for me.

Theyre obviously well off considering the houses, land and massive camper! They should have the kids in daycare/playschool or hire their own nanny!

Mom should stay with them until they are in school. The mimi should not have to carry the full load. I was worried she would get her ribs broken. She and the little girl probably are near the same weight.

Because that song is two minutes long and it's showing the kids how long to brush their teeth. Do you not have kids? How do you expect them to learn how to brush their teeth and how long for? I'd do the same if I had kids. You brush for two minutes and then, you inspect the spots that they missed, it's not hard.

when I see these programs I often think to myself but my mother had to deal with. I had five brothers and one sister, and I cannot recall of incidents we when we were so disrespected to our parents. We did not have to have somebody to come to our household to help with the raising of children. But in today's family upbringing things are so more different. it just seems like there's no structure in family life anymore. That is just my opinion
