Bought my motorhome from these guys 3 years ago, loved their service, the handover was fantastic by and ex army chap who was amazingly thorough , and even sold my van back to them a week ago , this sort of service is so rare and without doubt they are the first people i would go to when im next wanting one, so great to have nothing but good feelings from a business in todays world of sharks and money comes first, superb service even when selling thats what really hit me so hats off you have me as a long term customer for sure!
Hi Daz can you do an update video on how you are getting on with the Lithium batteries, good or anything bad? I have been talking to Rob at Oaktree about getting a couple of them fitted, and it would be nice to hear of your experience with them,as you are using them far more than I would be. Glad to have you back making videos again. All the best John
Hi just to let you know that I have got my MH done to day Rob has a partner down south AMC motorhome this is where I got my van done I am so happy thanks Darren . thay are very good and very helpful I highly recommend. So if you down south give them a call
16:57 you can also run the engine now for a top up - although you should have had a split charger anyway. Don't forget you can take those down to 0% without issue
I dont really understand chicken wings, there's no meat on 'em, chickens havent flown for half a million years, there's that little meat theyre suitable for vegetarians 🤔
I used to have pet chickens. No fence will hold them! Little peckers use those wings more than you might think but there's certainly not enough meat to eat.
Rob the owner is a brilliant bloke he's down to earth and he gives you that personal touch. i had 2 lithium batteries fitted and never looked back thanks to Oaktree Motorhomes
@@theoddjobcentre6686 Hi no we use a Numatic wet valet machine and a steam cleaner and we have a dedicated heated drying room with hanging racks which works really well.
great vid,i bought 2x ks energy lithium but apart from smelling of burning,i had loads of trouble,i bit the bullet and bought 4x victron lithium and they are brilliant in every way,the difference is night and day from agm to lithium
Lithium is the way forward Daz... everything will be Lithium soon. Lithium Pulse Charges as appose to trickle charge, therefore it’s not as harsh on components. That’s why people can give 6 year warranties.... it’s the way forward. Much love Daz, Smithy
The dude who invented lithium (John goodenough, dudes a legend) may have already invented somthing better, if it works as advertised should be seeing better and cheaper in 2 to 5 years
Just seen your vlog new subscriber bought a Motorholme from oaktree Motorholmes a few years ago I can say my experience off dealing with this company we’re fantastic would highly recommend them to anyone looking forward to your vlogs 👍🏻
Hi Daz i gave paul a call down at Eco tree!! My local battery retailer is a main agent for Eco Tree (Valley Batteries)!! picked up and fitted job done hope ive made the right decision to change from AGM!!!
That was the most interesting video I’ve seen so far! What a fantastic professional set up Rob runs there! No wonder lithium is more expensive BUT that wasn’t bad at all! I’ve saved this to watch again & take it all in. Much appreciated, Excellent 👍
Hello Darren buddy I love your videos your laughter is just brilliant and makes me laugh this video will come in handy for me as I want to go lithium and I remember when John and Mandy changed to lithium and think they said for there 100ah batteries cost like £800 each and just seen the ones you have but the 100ah is £700 each so for 2 is gonna be 200 pound cheaper which will be ideal so thank you you take care buddy thanks for all the advice all the best
Great to see you so happy I am thinking of this, same van as ur's but 3.5 tons 6 birth, I just wondering how big is your solar panel I know u said 150 Watts but how big is it sizes wise? I was thinking I need 600 Watts? I am getting 12v 280AH lithium iron battery I was hoping to b off grid most of the time, thanks
You tube is a better place with you back on the screen Daz. Also the team at oak tree seem really transparent and a great bunch. When i look to take the lithium leap ill certainly give them a call 👍... Great vlog bud, Love it.
Testing it bud, drain it down to low voltage cut off and see how easy it is to get the batteries's bms to kick back in and then allow you to charge them again. Have a play around with a backup power supply like a power oak or similar system, you'll definitely need it.
Your delirious happiness at chicken wings and lithium had me laughing so much ! Great to see you again and good to hear your back up and running once more. 🚐👍😃 Michelle and Andy
I can stay off griff for really long days , it depends on the solar panel and controller and sunlight obviously. My solar panel is full black monocristaline height efficiency (rigid 300w) with 40A epever tracer 4215 BN.

Oak tree motorhome are close by me Daz you could have popped in for a distance coffee. when we were looking for our motorhome we were going to go to Oaktree heard nothing but good things but because i live down the other end of the country i had to go some where else.
Do these ones have a built in battery heater for winter time charging ? or the BMS wont let you charge below zero (C) I know you can permanently damage Lipo ,LiFePo4 battery cells by charging them below freezing point .
Great to see you. What is the wattage of your inverter? Try running slow cooker, induction hob and toaster and see how quickly the charge returns on sunny day and running engine! 😎
Darren I'm new to this...what kind of TV do I need to get for my motor home and do you recommend that I buy a generator or solar as I am getting mixed messages about this....cheers bud
Been pondering about more power then as if by magic you put out this video! Will definitely give them a call, only problem I'm the other end of the country, yay, road trip 😁😁
Hey Dazla, 👋🤪👍 hope ur well pal. You asked how to test them. Here's my two cents worth, and questions I have about *(deep winter van life solar.)* 1) Do these charge easier in less sunlight or do they just hold power longer once they're charged 2) Do they charge up quicker. 3) Are they severely affected by the temperatures. 4) Do u still need to drive sometimes to top up your power, if yes how often and how far. Basically it all boils down to, do these batteries make uk winter van life with solar a viable option. (All info is appreciated.) Anyway mate, thems the type of questions I personally would like to know the answers to, Sos if it came off like a interrogation, hope ur good pal, stay safe ✌
These Lithium batteries have a lower resistance to charge so they just let power in easier, you get more power especially from low power chargers like solar panels. They hold their charged state for a very long time, would probably take over two years to go flat if left. Unless you want to charge them in minus temperatures I wouldn't worry about temperature, the cold has much less of an effect on these than Lead/AGM. The batteries charge very fast on the Battery to Battery so if the power does get low you wouldn't have to run your engine for long to get some power in. You can drain these right down without damaging them unlike Lead/AGM so you can confidently drain off what you need to use
Another interesting upload. You didn't mention how many amp hours those batteries are. I don't intend to live in my motorhome so l went for AGM batteries. Lithium can be completely discharged. But l can take the AGMs down to 20%. Since l have 4 X 120ah battery's (480 amp hours), my needs will never cause me to use 400 amp hours between charges. And AGMs, like lithium, don't require venting like lead acid do. I also have a couple of gel batteries. But l won't fit them as l have more than enough amps. I am qualified in electronics so made a nice saving installing myself.
Hi, great vid :) I'm looking to go more off grid I have a campervan and live in fulltime. Just curious as how big your solar needs are I have a 100W panel would I need a second with one Lithium Batt? or will one be ok? Thanks and Happy camping! #lithiumalltheway :)
