as a huge beatle fan, my older brothers and sister had everything they put out plus the solo stuff, i picked this album up my freshman year of high school, i was so excited to go home and listen, i remember being sadly disappointed at the time, now 62, retired and kids all grown, many years later, 49 as i write this, became one of my favorite george solo albums, aged quite well.
Extra Texture is the most underrated album of George. The first time I've heard I hated, because I wanted a new All Things Must Pass, or another Living In The Material World. Some years later, knowing that this album was made in the darkest days of George until that, I realize the beauty of those songs. They are fantastic, and the quality is the same of the rest of George's writing. I always remember Sir George Harrison, even the Queen doesn't give him de medal. It would be a honor (for Her Majesty -)!!!
Wonderful, gorgeous melody I agree with you and as all George's Songs full of deep meanings . I have tested it to lot of people. I don't agree with many critics who criticize the whole album saying it was a flop.
Have not listened to in a year or so. What a great underrated, maybe unheard song by so many unfortunate people. Now that I have gotten older the words in this song mean so much to me. I wish I had been a better person to the ones that I loved and not taken them for granted.

Today, I think George was in the same level of geniality of Paul and John in songwriting matter. He just show this ability later.
