I would like to request Harrison estate to release a new album by including lost tracks of George... I'm sure there are enough great songs like this one that can be released in an album... please do it for the sake of music.🙏 We love George ❤️
Not, quite, but top 15 all time. This was a song not suited for his vocal range. Paul song it and it gets a top ten. Yeah, Paul took a bad song and made them sound better. Paul's greatest attribute was his vocals
@@crazyantny9161 What 🤦♂This song sounds like typical George - his vocals are so effortless and smooth. And George had a fantastic vocal range too. Maybe not quite Paul but very close imo
Sitting as the noonday sun Shines high up in a clear blue sky. While warming me I drift away No mem'ries of the times gone by Oh, the moment that I lose my mind You come into my heart and say I'm always here for you to love Surrender to me, let me stay Sinking deeper still inside I feel awakened from my dreams Resting in some golden flow, Becoming part of you it seems.

Nothing separates my life From that which we have called our goal It's all in this external world As results from deep within my soul As I open up my eyes The sky has changed into a glow. A real masterpiece from George Harrison! A hidden gem that was reaveled to me. WB were the stupid jerks to turn down such a great music. RIP George, your music forever!
George got better looking as he got older, beautiful man, beautiful soul, beautifully remembered,I have this book one and two I have the CD version so I have known this song for some years.
If 'Sat Singing' and 'Flying Hour' and 'Lay His Head' had been included on Somewhere in England, it would have been considered one of his greatest albums. However, this could have affected the trajectory of future albums, and there might never have been Cloud Nine, nor the super group, Traveling Wilburys.
I love this song, George's love for God is overwhelming, the words express his soul's desire so beautifully and completely, how I miss him, can't wait to be in his company with the Divine...Hare Krishna, OM, Amen 🙏💜
The beauty of Geroge's soul shines within this song. To me, this is one of his most gorgeous songs. Peace, Love & Happiness to ALL. :) Thank you so much for sharing Mick.
Warners rejected the album originally, and then accepted it with the different songs. They could have decided to release the first version. But they preferred the second version. That's in the George biography Behind the Locked Door. Not George's decision.
I was amazed when I read this book Chant n be Happy where the written interview with George Harrison and Srila Prabhupaad founder of Iskcon temple in the world.George mentioned that his this album Somewhere in England has been written after reading Bhagwad Gita in presence of Srila Prabhupaad so since then his album rolled the globe and rocking. Its immense pleasure he had chanting mahamantra of Lord Shree Krishna. If you want to read this book can buy from any Iskcon Temple as it transformed lives of so many people especially Rock band Beatles how it happened please read that book n chant HARE KRISHNA
All that said by people never met in my life ....want to say Hello George. I'm really grateful to You & Olivia. I saw what real love is . The greatest quiet ( dunno why ) but always over the top. Love 🕉⚘️🪷
Mr. Wilbury, congrats for the video of such a lovely song of this great artist thar still lives in many, many hearts...sweet voice...the guitar that sounds so much of his own...nice guy... Superb choice! Thanks a lot! Hare Krishna
The four rejected 'Somewhere in England' songs are better than much of the released tracks. They are available on bootleg CDs, such as 'Shanghai Surprise' and 'Pirate Songs'. 'Lay his Head' was on a Japanese single CD of 'Got My Mind Set On You'. I suspect that there will reluctance to release these because that would diminish the value of the limited edition books and discs.
Warner Bros se pasa de sorda, esta canción esta muy chula, geniales melodias, y la voz de george queda excelente, lástima que no pueda escucharlo en deezer
Beautifully played extended guitar soloing, fluid, melodic, ocative jumping master playing. The production -- a needlessly sluggish rhythm section and keyboard layering detract from the song's melodicism. The song is strong enough to have a place in Harrison's best known, and the guitar work is stellar, a subtle but commanding showcase of Harrison's easy and mastery of the bottleneck slide. Curious treatment for a song that deserved better.
The man, the myth, the legend. George was the GOAT.

We love George ❤️
This is not only better than anything on Somewhere in England, but is one of George's best songs ever.
That was exactly what I was thinking the first time I ever heard the Song! BTW, Happy Birthday, George!
Beautiful
There's also this song called Life Itself from the album Somewhere in England (if I'm not mistaken) which is also really beautiful
👍⚘️♥️

We need a new George album with these rarities
Sitting as the noonday sun
Shines high up in a clear blue sky.
While warming me I drift away
No mem'ries of the times gone by
Oh, the moment that I lose my mind
You come into my heart and say
I'm always here for you to love
Surrender to me, let me stay
Sinking deeper still inside
I feel awakened from my dreams
Resting in some golden flow,
Becoming part of you it seems.
George continues to add love to my life long after he has moved on.
Thank you George.
Never forget you George. You’ll always be number one.
His guitar work brings tears to my eyes every time I hear this.
Jesus on guitar
Sitting as the noonday sun
Shines high up in a clear blue sky.
While warming me I drift away
No mem'ries of the times gone by
Oh, the moment that I lose my mind
You come into my heart and say
I'm always here for you to love
Surrender to me, let me stay
Sinking deeper still inside
I feel awakened from my dreams
Resting in some golden flow,
Becoming part of you it seems.
Nothing separates my life
From that which we have called our goal
It's all in this external world
As results from deep within my soul
As I open up my eyes
The sky has changed into a glow.
My sense of time had disappeared
I see the sun has sunken low.
I feel such joy and call your name
You're ev'rything my eyes could see.
I'll gladly kiss it all goodbye
Stay ever in your company

George is the best Beatle...❤️
A real masterpiece from George Harrison! A hidden gem that was reaveled to me. WB were the stupid jerks to turn down such a great music. RIP George, your music forever!
I LOVE the slide.
So beautiful, just like George's soul.
An absolute gem! Perhaps one day it will be officially released.
George got better looking as he got older, beautiful man, beautiful soul, beautifully remembered,I have this book one and two I have the CD version so I have known this song for some years.
couldn't have possibly put it better...
He is the best looking man I have ever seen...he is just gorgeous ❤️

It’s criminal this song isn’t on any streaming services
One of his most beautiful among so many beautiful songs and his soul speaks volumes of his love for God! 💜🕉✝🔮🌟🙏🏻✨💫🌹Hare Krishna OM Amen
What a wonderful song
Hare Krishna. Om Tat Sat. Jaya Sri Gurudev
A spiritual gem.
Can't believe WB turned this down...
George took this and three other songs off the album, one of them was flying hour , which was one of his best.
Double Fantasy was due out at the same time and WB wanted to delay George to avoid losing sales to John
George's decision, I am sure.
Warners rejected the album originally, and then accepted it with the different songs. They could have decided to release the first version. But they preferred the second version. That's in the George biography Behind the Locked Door. Not George's decision.
So beautiful,so melodic,so meaningful..Pure George!

Thank you for your comment !
