I never once thought anything about the appearance of the horse pen, or your method of cleaning. Wouldn’t the NEXT job be cleaning the wheelbarrow from the manure if you used one? Seems just flinging the poop over the fence onto the grass (thus fertilizing the grass) is a quicker and easier way to get the pen clean. This way you just have to hose down the rake and poof! Done.

Ok so I guess the question is why is the manure pile right next to the fence? Why isn’t it away from the horses and pen in a secluded place where most people would have a manure pile. I grew up on a farm so I’m not just someone who knows nothing about this stuff.

Good plan. We always got a couple tons of horse manure to fertilize our garden in the spring. Sweetest smelling poop because horses eat hay.

Wouldn’t the NEXT job be cleaning the wheelbarrow from the manure if you used one? Seems just flinging the poop over the fence onto the grass (thus fertilizing the grass) is a quicker and easier way to get the pen clean. This way you just have to hose down the rake and poof! Done.

I did wonder why the poop was being thrown over the fence but figured you had a good reason, which you did. It is unbelievable how people can be such A-HOLES.

Ok so I guess the question is why is the manure pile right next to the fence? Why isn’t it away from the horses and pen in a secluded place where most people would have a manure pile. I grew up on a farm so I’m not just someone who knows nothing about this stuff.
But why does it matter? It’s not your farm? This is where the land owner wants it so this is where it goes
There is no one singular ‘right way’ to run a farm and every person will run their farm in the way that works best for them

It is and I wasn’t going to bother wasting my time but the amount of comments was a bit ridiculous and getting to be quite nasty even 🙄
just dont waste your time on people that are not there to encourage you period ...you are pregnant now that stress or load u are putting on you aint worth your time at all... let it go you know what you do and dont do if people dont like they can go or come help you hehe or stay and enjoy your growth but dont feed that beast they will always come back stronger.
