Rudnik was the gelding that didn’t trust men. B was the man who never cared about horses. Together - they form the most unlikely but beautiful ‘bromance’.
I never could have imagined things would turn out the way they did.
The way Rudnik gravitated to B from day 1 has always left me in awe.
Their connection is as if they are long lost brothers, reconnected after years apart.
B was a ‘city boy’ in the sense that he’d always rather be spending time at home or out with his buddies ‘on the town’. He’d never spent any real amount of time around horses and - to be honest - he’d just never cared to.
They weren’t his ‘cup of tea’ and there were a dozen other things he’d rather do instead, so he really had no experience around them.
Rudnik was still so mistrusting of men, especially after everything he’d been through, men had always seemed to trigger his “flight” reaction more than anything.
So when these two met for the first time and Rudnik came right up to the gate to greet B, before he’d ever even done that for me, I was left shocked.
Their bond has only grown deeper since then and they connect on a level that I may never fully understand.
I am forever thankful for both of these amazing boys in my life ♥️

Years ago, I had to give up all my horses except my senior gelding after a bad breakup, when I lost my home and farm because of it. I was devastated, but I managed to hang on to my old Arab till he passed several years later. If I'd ever found a partner who was as supportive and willing to be involved in my life as your "B", I wouldn't be single today. I'm so happy for you, B, and Rudnik. Thanks for sharing. 💙

Men still complain if women don’t trust them, but more often, we still give them the benefit of the doubt.
Sometimes that does work out, in both people’s favour.
After all you've been through, you deserve these two beautiful boys in your life. Never doubt that. Because of your experiences, you will never take them for granted. 💗

B is definitely a 'keeper'.. no partner should expect you to shut down your dreams..if they don't understand that, then they are not the one for you.. Rudnik knew that B was your heart ❤guy... and Rudnik is B's ❤ 🐎..
Their relationship is amazing..but that's because Rudnik knows he's the right guy for you.. he knows you saved him .. yes, he chooses B every time you both run away..but thats a guy thing..he loves you..just loves B a teensy bit more😂..

Horses are so intuitive and amazing. Sometimes I have seen beginners bond easier
because of no expectations. It is always humbling.
100%! There’s no expectations just enjoying each others company! As much as I try to make sure that 80% of our time together is like this, no expectations or focus on work - B will always be the one who’s just fun all the time 😂🥲

My late father was a horse whisperer and master saddler. I watch horse videos because although my dad lived to 99, and never let me have a horse although the favourite daughter, my younger sister, got one, I miss him very much.He would be as fascinated as me in how Rudnik is so many different colours. Never give up your horse for someone else. If the other person really loves you, then they would never ask you to give up something like your pets for them. One of my daughter's EX- boyfriend made the mistake of telling her that once her horse died or was gone, that there wouldn't be anymore horses. At that moment he sealed his fate immediately in that second. 😂 I happen to be in the car with them. Her now husband has built her a house,barn, rides horses and is helping her raise miniature ponies. 😊

When I was a teenager, there was a yearling filly that I wanted so badly, but couldn't afford her. The guy who owned her offered me a deal. If I would raise 8 calves for him from the auction, she would be mine. I did a similar thing that you did. I climbed in the stall and sat with her throughout the day. Gradually she got used to me and even got curious enough that she came to me. I didn't have a halter, so I braided one and made it out of the strings that came off of the hay. I gradually trained her by the time she was three, I was riding her. Trusted me thoroughly and would walk across a blanket on the ground following me. Unfortunately I didn't get to keep her. Came home from school one day and people were trying to load her onto a truck. My parents had sold her. I was afraid that they were going to hurt her, so I walked her onto the truck. My dad was disabled and they needed the money. They had hoped to have her loaded and gone before I got home from school. The last thing I could do for was let her down.
Took my kid to the KY Horse Park because *I* am the horse-nut. Kid doesn't really like horses (can't quite figure that out) and EVERY horse we went near gravitated to the KID not to me.... What??? LOL Horses know. This video made me smile.
