I honestly was half asleep the whole morning so I hope my half awake brain made some sense. Either way we love to spend the mornings together, especially during the weekend. Stephine Garcia I’m an ASL 1 student so I purposefully didn’t turn on the captions to try to challenge myself to see what I understood. I understand some signs here and there

@@cassiopeiaartco I know a little ASL but not enough to have the captions off because he uses the actual like signs, but I only know the letters, and I'm not really even learning it, my friends sister is deaf and they use letters and I asked her to teach me so now I know letters, but have yet to learn words.

@@ProudMommy444 I"m taking it at my local community college. A lot of colleges offer some ASL classes, so I would look into it if you can. If not, there are some pretty good resources online. Galludet University offers some free lessons online and Bill Vicars puts out some really useful content on UA-cam and his website.
Their dog is absolutely happy and loved. That is so warming.

Can Ryan talk about working as a deaf person? I got a warehouse job during the lock down and work with a deaf man, I'm trying to learn some basic sign language so I can communicate with him better.
stephanie Blackman do you love in the US? If so, there are some good sources for learning American Sign Language online. Bill Vicars has made a ton of really helpful videos teaching ASL signs. It’s pretty easy to learn some basic signs.
@@cassiopeiaartco hello and yes, I have been learning online, and ordered some books offline recently. I have decided to take ASL 1 and 2 at my local community college, being it's such a beautiful and useful language to know. At this point, I guess I "pigeon sign" to him but we communicate fine. I have picked up on a good amount of signs and I'm starting to put whole sentences and questions together (kinda). I'm a visual person. It's still hard though.
It really is such a beautiful language...I’ve been signing since I was in the 6th grade and I just absolutely love it. 🤗
There's also "edX" website or can download the app too for some basic sign language. But I saw that you are going to community college for it already. All the best!

To be fair, my dad grinds coffee in the morning, which is super duper loud, and I generally either sleep right through it or hear it, recognize it, and go back to sleep haha it’s amazing what you can get used to

There is this toothpaste thingy you can get at Walmart. You use it to squeeze the tube and push it up each time. It keeps it flat and gets more toothpaste out. If I could send a pic I would but it’s like this oval rectangle shape with a slit in it. It’s awesome will solve all your toothpaste problems

When I was 17 i started dating a deaf boy and we fell in love. He was my first love actually. We dated for 2 years and lived together for most of it. I'm 29 now and watching this video and reading your sign language has some how brought back so many memories, I feel kinda sad actually. But in a good way. I'm really surprised that I can still understand most of what you two are saying. I thought I had forgotten sign language because it's hard for me to remember how to sign myself. I still know alot but I cant sign full conversations fast like I used to because I havent in so long.

!!!HEALTH WARNING FOR YOUR DOG!!! giving your dog icecubes will heat them up and can over heat them. They're response system to cold water/food is to make the body hotter. The best way to cool your beautiful sweet doggie down is by placing damp cloths on the belly and in the areas where her legs and torso meet! I'm from Australia and it's very hot here, and I used to do the same for my dog until my vet told me otherwise! Love you guys though ☺️

I've been trying to learn sign for my son he's turning 3 and has no communication. It's a bit tough remembering everything but trying to teach a 2 year old is even harder.

At that age you could have home signs which are unique signs only you and your son know what they mean and are usually easier to teach and remember because you came up with them.

Both of my parents are deaf and they have the same alarm as him ( the black and grey alarm clock ) shown in the beginning it has a white circle pad that you put under your pillow and it vibrates under the pillow and it wakes them up

Ryan i have a question for you, can you "hear" in your dreams? Ive always been curious about that.
Thats a cool questions I think he would maybe hear his own coniconises in his dreams but not knowing the voice of a the person your dreaming up then how would know you what sound to dream up. Because it's not in our memory. Also do we even hear in our dreams ? Or is it more of a thought /instant feeling / knowing/ .

i googled about this coz it got me curious too. they say if a person is born this way, no hearing at all. even the inner voice. the communication based on what they only learned and lived thru like the sign language. the same with blind people, no sight at all even in dreams
