No doubt being financially free and not having to worry much about health care and other expenses cannot be overemphasized, making smart plans and setting up diversified investment portfolios is quite essential.

indeed, most people downplay the roles of financial planners until burnt by there mistakes. Productivity is optimized and keeping up to date strategies and analysis makes it more lucrative. I've been able to navigate the volatilities and scaled up

I Want You Diversify Your Income Streams: Relying solely on one source of income can be risky, especially during times of economic uncertainty. Explore opportunities to diversify your income streams, such as investing in stocks, real estate, or starting a side business. Multiple income streams can provide stability and resilience against job losses. Besides, you will fall behind if you do not turn technology into your strength.
I just want to go back to a time where you had to remember phone numbers, you did not need to down load apps. I was a traveling salesman and could get everywhere with a map book, when I was gone nobody could reach me, pure bliss of a life.
I work in IT for over 35 years and maybe I am an old grumpy dinosaur who is not keeping up any more, but I go in the totally different direction. Back to the basics. Learn how to grow food, regenerate our soil, learn how to preserve food, process medicinal herbs etc etc blah blah blah... The problem that people in the virtual world have is they take the physical world for granted. They assume food magically appears on the press of a button and there is an ample supply of energy. Here is news for you, this is not the case.Look at Ukraine and how that country got wrecked in only a few years. The status quo is under threat, today more than ever before.
Indeed. Every single technology that we have ever created has failed. Every civilization that has ever come to power has collapsed. Pride comes before the fall. We had better not abandon our basic skill set for survival.
It's very entertaining listing to someone who is Uber rich that has nothing to do all day but think. Just like all of our leaders. So detached from what 99% of people go through
Which is potentially the biggest advantage of AI - people are uninformed and have zero idea about their finances. A personalized AI giving you advise, when to buy on the stock market, crypto etc but also how to safe money - that could be a game changer. Of course corporations operating this AI and paying for it's server power will want to make money with it, but that's fine - you pay 5 percent of your net gains on the stock market to Microsoft for using OpenAI etc.
I think we should all take his advice. Get that 100K you have lying around and put it to work. You know, "Build your wealth while others lose their jobs..."
He's also worth over $200 million... It doesn't matter what happens to the future, it won't affect him... And Tom's worth a lot too, it won't affect him either lol.
As we have progressed technologically, it seems we have become more depressed, disconnected, weaker, sick etc. Not sure what makes you think if we further progress down this road we will suddenly change for the better.
This video should serve as a warning for people who are on the receiving end of this agenda (all of us). If these salesman think they can impose their very one-sided point of view onto the world and act as if they were entitled to push their concepts onto the global scene, they are Completely ignoring the fact that there is this incredible force in the universe that keeps things in balance. There are ignoring the fact that half of the world population lives on 2 1/2 dollars per day. Process food is contributing to a major mental health crisis in the world, in addition to the physical impact. Humanity is not prepared for AI, because we have very little knowledge of the self. The way out of the self identity/adaptation personality pattern is to take an agency over one’s internal shadow. These guys think that they can direct the future human experiences from the comfort of their headquarters. It’s sickening, the level of ignorance, arrogance and entitlement. Pharma and so-called food industries are polluting this earth on an unfathomable scale, together with the petroleum industry. The Earth is revolting, and natural disasters will continue to accelerate. I personally feel complete revolt towards this trend, considering how many fundamental human needs are being ignored in favor of technological advancement. Humans need to be connected to nature, they need to be connected to to the electromagnetic field of the universe, no technology will ever be able to substitute that.

That's simply not possible. It's never been and it never will be. When you stuff the God hole with cars, inventions, entertainment, great drugs and caviar the hole becomes even more insatiable and the only final, suitable inevitable sacrifice left is You.
I agree with you up until you mentioned God. You cannot have the religion without the condition those religions were founded under. I would very much like to throw away the condoms and have five sons and have them all fishing, ranching, and longhunting, living on their father's land. Is that what religion is doing in today's politics? Or is it continuing to blame people from a cubicle, at an individual level.
Anytime anybody says something is impossible has never been that way and it never will be that way well then the first thing I think about is it wasn't possible to go to the moon and it never will be possible to go to the Moon that was the thinking over 100 years ago. Also there was a time when it was not possible to communicate instantaneously at lightspeed in the thinking was it's not possible now and it never will be possible and the fact that matter is you know you go back a thousand years ago and almost everything we have right now this minute television computers antibiotics none of that was possible and from the viewpoint of everybody living at that point it never would be possible. There are plenty of things right now this minute that might seem impossible if we think in a linear fashion. like at the rate we're going at this moment it might take a thousand years to master a lot of technology that would revolutionize life in the material level but the thing is though is like if in reality the advancement of one technology is going to double in about another two or three years and another 2 years after that it doubles again and then another year after that it doubles again well then pretty soon within a decade or two you have made essentially the equivalent of 1,000 years of progress in that one decade when you take into account the exponential acceleration. At the same time of course there are tools that can enhance people's ability to do really bad things so then therefore we have to use the same tools to be sure that we're able to track down or block really bad actors and then you know make sure that they tried and punished to the level of what their actions would have been capable of doing..

It has all been one great war that has been going on for over a century, just changes battlefields once in a while. But the conflict has been continuous somewhere for all of that time. The great war has never ended.
The good in both of those examples had to go in and root out the evil... if not it would have been much much worse. Human nature hasn't changed. The real problem is that folks have no idea how to identify the real threats. They are concentrating on the wrong the things or being destracted.
Don't you think this is all hype and very little substance? Smartphones and tech in general have barely evolved over the last 10 years, we've seen fairly small gains here and there - a little less heat for more power in processors for example with Apple Silicon. We've fixed some engineering problems but haven't achieved anything revolutionary.
@@DerDudelino I agree (suspiciously so) but social media subservience has gone vertical despite this alluding to my greater point that we are not only fine and dandy with this but more disturbingly almost seem to welcome it (but then again we are demonstratably and unfortunately overwhelmingly a slave race) whatever happens next I don't think bodes very well for most of humanity.
I do believe at some point people will just abandon stocks, money, etc in general. I for one, no longer want to play the game. I guess its a decision that folks will have to make. We no longer will have to decide between me myself and I. We will have to change the way we think.
The question isn’t would you rather live in 1900 or today, it’s “would you rather live in 1955 or even 1995 or today?” It becomes a much different conversation-
yes, because its better than going to work for a bunch of cranky old people who reluctantly give you money for your abuse. A computer will do your job a lot better than you, and it will give you credits or money once it fires you

What scares me about the concept of extending life, which I used to not be concerned about. Is that it will be stratified to untold heights by our society as it currently is, the worst people will remain in power FOREVER. Even if we remain a "democratic peoples" we would be controlled by the current elites who will only let the change they want to have happen happen.
Yup. The ones in control will do all they can to retain control. AGI and smart machines will be used by these folks to keep us all controlled. Vast levels of surveillance and manipulation. Manipulation will be so subtle that none of us will notice it. We'll definitely all end up in metaphorical boxes designed by someone (or something) else.
The issue going forward will be effectively cultivating and nurturing our agency in a culture that recognizes the centrality of this issue. Wisdom and relevance realization will the only road forward. Our sense of mattering to ourself and our community and what that looks like will be our ticket to ride. Simple satiation alone will quickly deal us out of the game.
techno utopia. I get it. I was also on this band wagon in my 20s. Then I realized that every atrocity perpetuated on humans by other humans was done in the name of Utopia and this one will be no different.
I agree. This is why God is looking for a fundamental transformation in individuals. All the machinery present or future will never help outside of fundamental change in man’s heart.
Very interesting discussion. I fear techno fascism and eugenics may become threats as those who believe they know what is best for you and overrule the individual. Conform or be cast out.
All of our economic systems to date have been built around managing scarcity. This guy believes that technology is moving us toward a future of radical abundance. This will represent a phase shift in how businesses and the economy is run. All economic systems are born, mature and die. Why would capitalism be any different
Republicans couldn't stop talking about the Epstein flight logs. As soon as they were released and Trumps name came up 7 times, it got real quiet. Even the media, including Huffington refuses to mention it. Too weird 🤔
@@steelearmstrong9616 You will have your own quantum computer AI and the knowledge on how to extend life will be available to all. Most people will not adhere. Plenty of knowledge available now like don't drink, alcohol, don't smoke, moderate exercise, reduce percentage of body fat, caloric restriction to slow metabolism. Most of us could probably live to 90-100 just with the information already available.
@@steelearmstrong9616that will definitely be true at first. Cell phones and smartphones were extremely expensive at first which means that only people who had a lot of money would buy them or else people who are willing to throw all the money they had at them. However later on will then now these things are like $70 a piece that can do what only NASA level computers could do back in the late 60s early 70s and they fit in your pocket. Anything having to do with genetic technology will probably have a price performance acceleration greater than computer technologies had in the past so therefore you're right it will start off very expensive but the price will probably come down fairly rapidly we just don't know whether or not it's going to start off at 10 million dollars to have regenerative technology work on your body at first and then go down to like $50 in a decade or whether it's going to be two decades or even a half a decade... Once again the problem is that most people are as Ray cruzwell pointed out thinking linearly as opposed to exponentially.
Living at lightning speed is not synonymous with progress. In fact, it often leads us away from the essence of living a meaningful life. Life is a delicate tapestry of moments meant to be savored and cherished, not rushed through in pursuit of the next big thing. By neglecting the beauty of simplicity, we risk losing touch with our humanity. Technological innovations hold the potential to enhance our quality of life, offering solutions that ease burdens and open new possibilities. Yet, an unbridled push towards transhumanism threatens the core of what it means to be human. The perspectives of certain tech titans, who prioritize speed and efficiency over the natural course of evolution, may ultimately erode the very essence of our existence. Embracing the natural pace of life allows us to appreciate its wonders and complexities. It grants us the space to reflect, connect, and grow as individuals and as a society. By honoring the natural evolution of life, we can preserve our humanity and continue to thrive in harmony with the world around us. Let us not forget that the journey itself holds as much value as the destination.
Funny how many people commenting here think they're included in the type of wealth that will survive what is being discussed here. The only people that are "wealthy" enough to survive what's coming, will never see or hear about this podcast and certainly won't be commenting here if they were to watch it.
I'm sure you all have come across this questions before, so: Why do these billionaires get to direct the future of the entire world? Why aren't their ambitions checked in any way? What measures of "do no harm" are enforced? (we've seen failures on this point).
I find it humourous that you place such value on longevity....for those without the opportunity money brings...the prospect of prolonging their earthly experience is not all that inviting...
4:23 Great topic guys, but a few concerns: "a more peaceful world" can only happen if the paradigm of corporate greed is addressed and overcome. Otherwise, corporate greed will continue to create an increasing divide between the haves and have-nots. Any thoughts?
A corporation is not capitalism, it is a fascist partnership between business and government. Once a company 'goes public' it partners with the govt and becomes a fascist institution.
I think these guys are off the rocker. I see more and more people tuning out of technology. My young niece just gave up on social media. People are seeing how much this stuff has become cancer. AI best friends will only appeal to the people who could never make friends in the first place. The rest of us will stick to humans. We see what AI has just done in Gaza. F that.
Love Mo. Read his book in one go. Germany just legalised growing Cannabis. If a highly catholisised country like Germany can pass progressive legislation, I remain optimistic for the future. Also, on a more personal note, A.I. can bite my shiny metal ...
Thank you, Tom, for your incredible work on Impact Theory. Your interviews and insights have profoundly influenced my mindset and personal growth. Your dedication to helping others unlock their potential is truly inspiring. Keep up the amazing work!
"We navigated WW2 and WW1". Millions died that's not 'navigation'! It was catastrophic, especially for the civillians of Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Berlin, the displaced people of Ukraine, the Jewish people. A fanciful notion that suffering is being managed, and in a reasonable and compassionate way.
I am starting to get a bit concerned about the AI-robotic future; not because it will go evil/rogue and kill everyone, but that it will just simply replace workers. I appreciate in previous similar revolutions, people could be re-trained. No longer making buggy whips, but now you can make cars. Ultimately good. However, whatever people could now be retrained into, the AI will already be better at. So a vanishingly small number of people will control ever increasing portions of the economy. The already vast difference between the haves and the have-nots will become even greater. There will definitely be a great number of great things that can be done by AI. There will be definite benefits in health, energy, efficiency, etc., but who will ultimately benefit from that is not clear. If we go to a "star trek" utopia where money is no longer an issue because everyone can have whatever they want, then great. But if the current trend of those with power and control always taking more power and control, then there will be a few in utopia, and many in the ditches. How people will maintain themselves and strive for a place in this unfolding evolution is not evident.
You’re concerns are valid. There will be a much greater push for a lot less people to be on this earth. It is their opinion that a lot of people must go and as a result this is a conversation amongst the 1% who believe in this future to come.
You’re thinking too small. AI/robots/automation will increase productivity to the point that society doesn’t need people to work so much. Why work when it’s already completed by robots? Do something you care about with your time; anything you want. Are you familiar with the material gains of the average human being made within the last 20 years, 50 years, 100 years? There is greater wealth in so many more humans in many multiples of any time in the history of human civilization. And especially amongst the poorest humans. The prescient issue is not one of materialism but that of psychologism/spiritualism.
There is another huge issue we just saw during the last altercation in the middle east. That is real videos from the past being used to depict the present.
This whole conversation needs to not forget our humanness. Listen to Greg Braden and he brings up some valid points. I am all for advancement but then who are we? We certainly aren’t human anymore 😖
Very interesting conversation! I get the overall positivity on technology and share a lot of it, but it is going to be a nightmare dystopia as long as this technology is distributed through the hands of the financial-military cartel that rules the world now.
There is always a choise... You fatalism Will not rid you of guilt If this perfect world of yours dont show up. You and we are accountble for the world we create.
1900s would've been better. Being at a time of low hanging fruit, and at a time when exploration was an adventure and not a packaged holiday would be more than enough to persuade me.
On muscle mass, at least 10 years ago I saw a TED Talk saying that muscles very rarely get cancer. Cancer cells can deposit there, but they just don't spread and grow there. I wondered about using your muscles as basically a filter for any metastasizing cancer. More muscle and more use of them would obviously provide more of such filtering. I wonder if that's involved in the cancer protection effects Peter reports from muscle mass and exercise.
Cannot believe these guests talk on your show with so many obnoxious interruptions. You may be rich Tom. Socially you’re not as your Moonshot guest who I was going to follow. Healthy humans seek interviewers and interviewees who are socially aware too. Believe it or not lots of people have this kind of finesse. It’s called simpatico, simpatica in Italian. Ismael is simpatico. A lot of wealthy Caucasian people it would behoove them not to look smart; yet both be smart & know your audience. Lex Friedman, he’s young, yet he’s smart and puts forth just the right amount of tension and NO commercials. He’s really smart.
And speaking of commercials, there aren't just some, there an exorbitant, intolerable amount. Dude Tom you're rich AF. Do you need to monetize for more drops in your bucket? It RUINS your content. RUINS IT
It's a discussion, not an interview. I prefer the new new deeper discussion model on podcasts than the old interview model (unless, of course, it's autobiographical in nature).
I’m just going to ask you guys one question… ‘What do you humans have to offer AI once it’s sentient?’ I urge you all to ponder this question because I can promise you that once you create this new life form that’s at least 1000 times smarter than any of you are, it’s going to ask itself that exact same question.
Finally comments is letting me type. Broken!! Again!! I remember sitting in a resturant and i said to myself. I wonder if i could look around and find something not made or constructed by man. The only small not completely constructed thing i could find was outside thru the window some allowed random tree branches of trees lining the street. I told myself it's time to go to an old growth forest.
Same concept as above so below on the Kybalion, is ancient is infinite where can it go. We as humans still can't envisoned it (it will narrow stupid to do so). When i studied biology read a great book, ..."in a single molecule there's as much complexity as the universe". Same with tech. I work on tech, most will lose their jobs, and we know that, we adapt, we survive. Cheers from an Argentinean in Barcelona.
I picture a future generation that takes way more pleasure in conversing about what to do next, what should happen next, where to go next vs. just thinking it and it is true. The chaos would be immense. There would be no point in experiencing it all alone so it would require talking to someone, your tribe, to convince them to go with.
A bit disingenuous to compare 1900 to today as 1900 being the good old days. No dude. How about the 1990’s or 2000’s. Don’t have to go that far back to remember better times where we could party without feeling guilty and when we had hope For a better future for our children. What we have now is tech guys with unlimited budgets describing how great the future will be for them while everyone else is left behind with worthless dollars, taxes on their house or rent they cannot afford afraid to say anything because they might get arrested by the thought police. That’s why we the people want America to be great again. Not the distant past but the recent past. We’ve lived it and know how it was. We want that again.
I’m not sure you can grasp that virtual will be indistinguishable from reality. You won’t even know if you are actually in Tahiti in reality come 20 years.
Says "empathy" in one sentence and his expectations of people to fight in the hunger games just to survive and climb on top of the bones of the less fortunate in the next. Even if people upskill in AI, they won't be needed en masse anymore. When the rich talk about empathy here they mean they will feel sad watching people suffer and die off as they become obsolete like horses did. But to make sure they don't have to feel too sad, they'll convince themselves and gaslight others that people perish by their own fault. And when they talk about abundance for everybody, by everybody they meam the 5% of the wealthiest of the population that will survive and they finally wouldnt have to worry about those pesky poor people. Even climate change would fix itself then. Even if they cover with grand total of one sentence subject such as the UBI, they forget to mention it means everybody will barely survive in the next. No more freedom or a way to escape poverty.
out of everything these people were talking about you are focused on his backwards hat...the man is worth like over 100+ million dollars....maybe you should get a backwards hat.
If we live in a simulation, it suggests a hierarchy of realities, with an ultimate "parent simulation" akin to God-a force capable of creating and sustaining infinite layers of existence. While this idea may hint at a connection to something greater, it would be misguided to think we are God simply because we sense we are more than we perceive. Recognizing the limits of our perception should inspire humility, not hubris, as our existence may only be a small fragment of a much larger and incomprehensible design. ❤ This discussion ❤

Honestly this cannot be overemphasized, helping people mitigate unforseen circumstances and mistakes .It's always good to have a financial plan,

AI will evolve and rule over humans, making no mistakes. Their superiority over human will be our end
Easy to be optimistic about da FUTCHA when ur RICH AF...Tom. 🤷♂jus fax
Best channel on UA-cam! Thank you Mr. Bilyeu.
Who created that oak tree seed? Get to know Him.
Exactly!
Don’t have to go that far back to remember better times where we could party without feeling guilty and when we had hope
For a better future for our children.
Love the AMSKRC Alt videos. AMSKRC has been my biggest position and really love exploring the ecosystem.
I prefer reality over fake. I'd rather go to tahiti than see it virtually
I’m not sure you can grasp that virtual will be indistinguishable from reality. You won’t even know if you are actually in Tahiti in reality come 20 years.
This is a dystopian nightmare. The only people that would be excited about this are billionaires that want more control over us.
I wish these weren’t so long, I mean, four hours come on
ikr
You don’t have the to watch it all at once.
The movie "Her" perfectly depicts bits and pieces of this conversation
Well said.
success on the backs of droves of broken people...sounds ...fantastic?...actually terrifying
Lose the backward hat dude.
out of everything these people were talking about you are focused on his backwards hat...the man is worth like over 100+ million dollars....maybe you should get a backwards hat.

Peter has so many dear friends. He is the Lionel Messi of name dropping.
When you found 27 companies and devote a huge portion of your life to inspiring and enabling entrepreneurs you get to actually know some of them
@@ssehe2007With what time?
The more I watch him, the more I realize he is maniacal, narcissistic egomaniac- it's insane.
@@ssehe2007 It's the DROPPING of the names that is the point of the OP. And he's right- every 5 minutes dropping a name (seriously- take a shot every time), and constantly interrupting people mid-sentence. Dude sucks.
This is one of the most educational podcasts of all time. Paradoxically the advertisers buying ads (not Tom's ads, youtubes ads) are conspiracy trash.
