Thank you! Just saved myself almost $1k CAD at the freaking dealership!
Send them my regards
Great video, just to note the brace to center body is one time use because it is 56NM + 90 degree turn.
I really don't understand why you're still only at 2k subs. It's weird... you're doing some solid work there, filmed really well and all these vids are really helping me map out all the things I will have to do with my own OG M2.
Mine was an easy sub. No need to reciprocate - just keep the OG F87 content coming because there's so little of it on YT.
Appreciate the comment man! It’s a hussle and getting subscribers is slow, but we soldier on! Currently working on new content💪
@@TheHunterHofman No worries dude, I'll be tuning in. I'm kinda dreading the OFHG replacement as there's so much that can go wrong with that. So much work to do on mine but while she was a 1-owner documented highway mileage 138k on the clock at 15,500 EUR, I have maybe 5000 EUR in preventative maintenance to do... and there's a LOT to do.
Pray for me lol
Next level spark plug content. Thank you TheHunterHofman !
Anytime buddy!
Spot on video...makes plug replacement a no brainer...Thanks for such as professional quality video
Thanks a lot, appreciate it!
Brilliant job mate!! Made it look super easy👌🏽
Cheers Brad, appreciate it!
Another great Video by The Hunter 👊🏻💪🏻 This will add to his Reference guide on maintaining and upgrading the M2 🔥💯
Appreciate it buddy!!
Awesome video! Doing the same next week so thanks for the tips!
Appreciate it mate, good luck!
Thank you for the video. One quick comment: you can take the foam piece out pretty much as the last step before popping out the coils, makes it much easier to get out because you just lift it off easily straight up off its little pegs without the strut brace or anything in the way. Cheers!
Thank you mate. Yeah, when looking back, that would have been easier! Hopefully other people pick up your comment when seeing this vid, so they do it the easier way. Thanks for your comment again and maybe consider subscribing 🙌🏻
Great production and loved the random jokes, keep this up!
Thanks mate, appreciate that. Will try to keep it up!
Awsome vid bro.
Thank you buddy 🙌🏻
made my day, best vid on this matter for OG M2 :-)
Nice to hear m8 😎
Make me smile again, and thanks :D No Idea if its already has been done on my 50.000km m2 :D
Cheers mate. Well, at least now you know how to do it ;)
Respect, is niet simpel. Goed gemonteerd ook hoor Hunter.
Zeer interessant.
Thanks makker
Congratulations you are literally my new favourite youtuber, your humer those incredible wild intros, yeah you are the best.
Please can we have a video with your girlfriend in it😂😂
Haha really appreciate that buddy! Hope to quickly make new video's!
I clicked for the intro and stayed for the install😂..easy maintenance need to get this done myself👍
Haha thank you my man, it’s truly easy maintenance to perform yourself 🤙🏻
Good Job!! Why don't you use the NGK's one step colder spark plugs?
Is the software stock or stage1?
Thanks mate! Because my car still has the stock software :)
Great content - thanks you for the step by step process. Just one question - can you provide the product number for the one-time use E18 torx bolts that hold down the strut bar? Been looking everywhere and can't seem to find any definitive answer.

2 x Outer strut brace bolts

2x Inner strut brace bolts
Hope that helps
Hi. Love your videos. Where do you find all the torque NM on this car?
Thank you man. I ask several BMW dealerships for the correct torque settings. I always ask multiple dealerships to be sure. I also look on different forums and to similar videos
TheHunterHofman thanks for your answer 😎💪
I have a question, with the link you provided for the sparkplug socket? Did you get the short or long one? Thanks :D
I believe the short one, that will work
Nice demo. I eyeballed it and figured out what was needed but nice to watch someone else do it, just in case there’s a gotcha. The gotcha was removing the strut tower brace. It was tricky but I got it done without removing that. Ruben Goldberg lives.
Oh and this as the first time I did this. Dealer did it under the free service at 20k or so. All my old plugs looked good, but the one closest to the firewall, the tricky one, looked less good. Hmmmm.
Thanks man, glad it worked out for you. Interesting that the last plug looked less good..
Do you have a link for where I can get those 4 one-time use bolts?
I used the Dutch webshop of my local BMW dealership, you can you try yours!
Incredible! To replace the 6 spark plugs you have to disassemble half the car! Minuto 11:45, So much accuracy in doing the job but that shit on the bonnet could also take it off.
Hehe, yeah should have taken it off
What kind of wheels and tires are you running? What size? They look sick
Thanks mate. They’re the 513M wheels (original BMW, 18 inch) wrapped around with Michelin Pilot Supersports. They’re also a size wider: the fronts are 255’s and the rears are 275’s.
How long does the sparks last ?? And do it will lose your warranty or not ??
Spark plugs usually last up to 50.000 km, it would be wise to then replace them. Warranty will not be lost after replacing these no (unless you do the job wrong or put in cheap spark plugs maybe)
How do you update the car service history?
I’ve made a video about this mate, go check it out and let me know if you have any further questions
the bolts are one time because you need to stretch them. Like add another 90 degree after it is at the spec.
I installed them according to what ISTA instructed :)
@@TheHunterHofman Cool, what's the part numbers for the bolt by the way?

good video! I also have an M2 n55 with 40,000 km and it started to misfire in cylinder 4 and cylinder 2. I replaced the coil with number 3 and 1 continues to misfire in the same cylinders. The spark plugs were changed at 28 thousand km, currently it has 40, Is it possible it was the spark plugs, given that the coils are good?.. I ask because 12 thousand km is too few in my opinion for the spark plugs to "die"
I would agree with you, 12,000 km is a bit low for spark plugs to go out. See what replacing them does for the car, good luck!
@@TheHunterHofman However, if you erase the errors (use iCarly) the car will immediately work fine. I'm going to change all the spark plugs and see what happens. thanks for the opinion
Update: I put in all the new spark plugs (Bosch) and the car ran without misfires. When removing the spark plugs I checked, and it seems to me that they are still the ones that come from the factory, they have the M emblem on the spark plug. thanks@@TheHunterHofman
Do you have to code the spark plugs
No
I feel like the intro could use a little more energy..
Omg I'm watching this at 1am and just woke up the whole street.
is not better iridium sparks?
Iridium plugs are more durable than platinum, yes. I like to change the spark plugs every 25,000 kilometers, so for me it's no difference. I would not note the benefits of an iridium plug compared to a platinum one.
Why would you struggle to take out that foam part first, when you later remove what is on top of it anyway?
Yeah, better to do it later. You live and you learn!
@@TheHunterHofman the funny thing is there's another video on the same subject and that guy ALSO starts with the foam! :)
I just did mine and did not have the heart to torque that strut brace at 56Nm PLUS 90 deg, I just did 45 and felt it was enough. Surely, didn't have new screws. 🤷♂️
I believe spark plugs are good like 60k miles, how many miles did you replace it
I believe I tell that information in the beginning of the video
12000 😀
40K miles for PPK tune, and M2
I didn't realize the bolts for the brace were one time use ......
The more you know!
What costs more ? Maintenance on the car or the cocaine you take before the start of every video 😂
Good job, keep em comming 👏
Definitely the ‘caine… I don’t even know what day it is anymore
Here because of AutotopNL, I don't even have a BMW anymore 😅
Will be uploading new content within a week!
0:40 lol classic rear engine M2
I keep forgetting it’s front-engined man
I made it to 4 minutes before having to mute the repeating music. Otherwise, good vid.
Thanks mate, duly noted!
Borat approves 👍🏻, but disappointed about the bird poop.. 💩
Haha hoped people wouldn’t notice 😅
@@TheHunterHofman Shame... Shame...
I dont even know russian spark plug existed in the planet, i would not use them, as a chinas
So far so good, I think Bosch knows what they’re doing!
Omg every bolt 🙄
And every nut 🌰
