This, like any vehicle, depends on how you drive it. The Mustang is a performance-oriented vehicle that is expected to be driven harder than your everyday run-of-the-mill sedan. That's why the recommendation is there, for those that drive harder than a normal commuter. If you baby your Mustang then you can get away with changing the brake fluid more infrequently.
50/50 blend is easiest. Just pour it in. No mixing required. Concentrate means you have to dilute it yourself. The only advandtage to concentrate is if you are trying to save a couple of bucks to have more on hand after you mix it, say if you were doing an entire flush of your system or replacing a radiator. Make sure you stick with Motorcraft brand though.
The 3.7 V-6 Mustang was port injected. No problem there. I believe the 5.0 went to dual injection starting in 2018. So no problem there. The V-8's before 2018 and the Ecoboosts could probably use an oil catch can. I put one on my 2017 Silverado 5.3 with direct injection. I thought the catch cans were marketing moonshine. I can't believe the crap it catches on my 5.3. About a shot glass every month.

They also recommend that the brake fluid get changed every 2 years on a Mustang. I'm thinking this is excessive.

@@RichmondFordLincoln Good answer.
how would I determine what engine coolant to purchase the 50/50 blend or concentrate ? for a v6 2015 mustang

What about carbon build up issues? Any preventive maintenance suggestions?
