Amazing SSD, I own the 4TB version and it's way faster than the already fast OEM PS5 Drive. Plus I never have to delete and reinstall games cuz I have so much space and overall great choice
4TB would be the dream, what's in your rotation? I totally agree, having the extra storage on hand to be able to play whatever I want has been great! Most of mine are Indies under 10gb 😂
@@XhiaGaming Well what I do is I still have a big PS4 backlog of games from last gen so I transferred about 10 games I haven't played yet to the PS5 and play them on the OEM ps5 drive and I save my PS5 games to the Seagate. It's a mix of Indie, AA, & AAA
Hey @@lehas.! The internal PS5 SSD has speeds of around 5,500 mb/s, this SSD is around 1,000 higher at 6,500 mb/s so it's definitely a bit quicker and 2TB should be a good amount of space too.
Pretty much any PCI E 4.0 M.2 drive will work perfectly. Get the best priced one from a quality brand. The Crucial P3+ is a great option for a great price. And you won't notice any difference in speeds. The Crucial P5+ is often very close in price, so, upgrade to that if not much more. But yeah, even 2000mbps would be plenty. And all these drives are going to be like 3500mpbs+. People get too crazy with wanting/needing the highest benchmark speed, when in reality, it doesn't really matter at this level.
There is a minimum 5500mbps read requirement per Sony. That is the only speed requirement I am aware of. I can't imagine that has changed. My 980 Pros consistently bang on that 7000mbps ceiling at 6948mbps read but just over 5200mbps write. Just picked mine up with a heatsink on Amazon UK for £97 on sale and with the £30 gift voucher from work an absolute steal for £67 delivered. You can't go wrong with either one though.
Got Samsung 980 pro for 108€ 1tb with built in heatsink. Too much expensive this Seagate. In real world usage you'll not notice the difference expecially with console
P5 plus 2tb for 150 at best buy will get u what u need. Way cheaper than this. Don't get caught up in fastest speeds. U won't really notice the difference
there was another one made by seagate also but cheaper is there even a diffences? the Seagate - Game Drive M.2 2TB Internal SSD PCIe Gen 4 x4 NVMe with Heatsink it has a blue line instead of the red one looking at the spec it seem the same
I can't find a comparison between them, but specs-wise they look pretty similar to me. I haven't seen the Game Drive on the shelves or online in Australia though so it might just come down to what's available - if it's cheaper I'd go for that!
I'm doing a comparison video soon 👀 but spoiler alert it's only faster on the 1tb version, 2 and 4 are only slightly faster on the Seagate 530 vs WD SN850x
How about security factors? I mean, it’s not like ALL WD users weren’t hacked recently. I’ll keep my read/write speeds and peace of mind! Good luck though! Firecuda is on another level, just stating the facts. If you upkeep your PS5, no other SSD touches this. 🤙🏽😂

I'm planning on getting the 2tb 530..is it just as fast as the ps5 internal drive if not faster?
@@lehas. it's actually faster than the PS5 internal I notice it more when loading in levels in game and transferring data from drive to drive

I have my firecuda SSD in the PS5 works great with FF7 rebrith. Great SSD for RPG's keep the SSD kool for long gameplay.

I've never even seen that brand before 😮 Might have to look into that one!

Just bought this for when I get the Ps5 Pro. 😊
Your -PS5 Pro- PS6 is about to go beast mode!
Mate, you did almost right... just forgot to clench the SSD screw. Please guys do not forget that one!
Did it off camera ;) only so much you can put in a UA-cam video
@@XhiaGaming Well done, mate!
WD Black sn850x 2TB is $130 delivered on several websites right now. Can't beat that.
Unfortunately the WD black can get warm dropping preformance and it doesn't have encryption

I did look into that one! But in Australia it was only around $20 cheaper. So it came down to reviews for me ☺️
waiting for samsung 990 pro with faster speed, still expensive than competition ssd's

P3 plus 4tb going for 300 after tax
Update been using my p5 plus for 2 weeks now and no issues. Also I used the free heat sink they included with it at best buy! Don't overpay!!!

@@XhiaGaming Amazon has comparable prices
Do you have to update the firecuda to a latest software or when you buy it does it already comes with the latest version on it?
When you boot it up after installing it will format the device - no need to specifically update it 😄

Honestly same, I thought I broke it at first

For the 4TB version, yeah - I got the 1TB on sale for $250. You just need to look around a bit to find the best deal
