    I agree with you on these foamies not needing flaps but I personally love expo on Corsairs and Spitfires.

    Rich, really appreciate you having the guts to say these planes don't need flaps and using them is actually counter productive. I have been flying for 40 years and for 35 of those we didn't even really know what flaps were on a plane. They were for the professional flyers. Funny thing is everyone landed just fine...even huge 150 size planes. Now that we all think we need to land with full flaps all the time everyone is crashing. I guess that sells more planes and parts...(maybe that is why they put them on) but some of the best flying warbirds ever produced (H9 .60 corsair and P-51) did not even have flaps.
    Thanks for calling a spade a spade and for that reason alone when I buy this plane I will use your link!

    One of the best channels on YT for the RC hobbyist. Great content, very knowledgeable, concise and to the point. Incomprehensible to me that it only has 14k subscribers. Thank you!

      Thank You for the vote of confidence! Please like, subscribe & pass it around:) I'm about to turn 15k.... I think my viewers are information oriented as my channel was intended to provide real information. I think a lot of UA-cam viewers are looking for more entertainment rather than knowledge. While I do try to keep it as entertaining as I can, my channel is more about giving you guys good information to use by showing you what has worked well for me so that it can benefit folks trying to get their model to fly well:)

    You know, Rich. It's so upsetting watching your videos. I never see you crash!!! Ha. You are absolutely one of the longest, best RC builders, pilots, and cool guys. Excellent poetry in motion.

    I'm glad there are people like you, that fly these planes. Having to much planes is not a good thing, these things build up your space. I did buy the Fox 3meter after watching your video, that thing is a huge glider with everything you want. Lovely models your showing here on the channel 😀🇳🇱.

    Great Video. I agree about the flaps. I don't use the flaps, yeah it looks cool with full flaps but can make her stall. Hope to see you at Fall Nall

    Hi Rich,
    Another nice flight. Like the lines of the Corsair. I estimate about 11 - 12 minutes total flight time.

    The 1600mm Flightline Corsairs, &the Spitfire are Awesome! Excellent detail ,electrics have proven reliable after many many flights. LISTEN TO RICH ABOUT THE FLAPS ! Use them because they look cool on the ground . In the air...not so much !

    Every video I see of this plane I am amazed at the flight times, and you were flying this one good!
    Does the 1600mm Spit have the same flight times?

    Awesome plane man!!! I’m on the fence about buying the 6000 multi pack.. I’m not sure if I want to spend the extra money on the batteries or be a cheap. but admiral gives me the satisfaction I’m looking for without question. What are you’re thoughts on this pack? Thank you

    Love all your reviews! Wanted to ask, now that you’ve had time with this Flightline Corsair and the FMS 1700mm Corsair, which do you feel is the best of the two?
    Thanks!

    What do you think about going 8S on this setup?
    will i need to get a different esc?

    Hi Rich, I have a question I want this F4U Corsair but I live in the Bay Area where it's constantly windy. I fly with a Spektrum ix12 is there a stabilizer you would recommend? I'm not looking for auto level or safe technology just to help in the wind?
    Thanks Rich
    Rob

    • @RCINFORMER
      @RCINFORMER  5 років тому

      There's a lot of good ones out there. unfortunately I don't use any stabilizers in my models so it is hard for me to comment on one. If you're in a real windy area it's not about idea to use one:) I am getting ready to do some videos on MotionRCs Freewing F-104 Starfighter and it has the Freewing 3 axis stabilizer in it which I will probably use... I should be able let you know more about that when I use it:)

    Great flying plane but whats up with the battery strap, I have two of these and they both came with very short battery strap. I notice you have FMS ones fitted.

    • @RCINFORMER
      @RCINFORMER  5 років тому +1

      Yeah... the one that came with the airplane from Freewing was way too short, I just happened to have some longer FMS straps laying around:)

    Can't help but wonder if the flightline or the fms is the preferred Corsair?

    • @RCINFORMER
      @RCINFORMER  5 років тому +1

      I prefer the Flightline model for it's new features, but I prefer the FMS for its sheer size and smoothness of flight.... it's about a draw... there should be a new version of the FMS 1700MM Corsair coming out.... we will see the difference then:)

    • @I_am_archie
      @I_am_archie 5 років тому +1

      @@RCINFORMER Hey, thanks alot for replying. Wasn't sure if you would address the question in this forum. Perhaps I'll hold out a bit longer. I've been doing a bit of research as I will be getting a larger Corsair. Such a cool bird, and you sir make the flying of it look so easy. Nice skills!
