I think the corsair is probably the most graceful war bird of its time. I've been to the Tillamook air museum when boyington's Corsair was on display. I could have sat in the cockpit if I wanted but due the close observations of the caretaker of the plane I decided against the idea as I might not have wanted to get out after. I did stop to talk with the caretaker he asked me why I didn't sit down in the cockpit. and I politely told him Because the keys were still in it...hahaha! Presently I'm saving for one of these beautiful RC corsairs from Horizon with all the new bells and whistles as I've never flown an RC airplane I've done the cars trucks and the boats. now I want to try something new. with the new safe mode and the GPS and listening to several reviews from other youtubers I've come to realize the new upgrades (Safe mode and GPS.) were made for people like me. who have been out of the RC world for awhile and now want it return. of course I also have a 6 yr old grandson that thinks the Corsair is really cool to. About the only thing I can see that might make the Corsair more authentic would be an accessory LED bright white alternating light system to place in the slots for the wing guns with a small speaker that could create the sound of actual machine gun fire and the screaming sound that the Japanese used to fear. Also a smoke kit might be fun if the smoke came in averity of different colors.
Thanks for the video-outstanding. I really like the flight commentary! My LHS has the grey version-I like it because it's a little different than the usual Corsair that is modeled. May have to pull the trigger on it after seeing this! Thumbs up!

Is FMS working on an upgrade of this? I thought I read or heard that some place. Ive had prop hub problems with mine and almost lost the plane because of it.
Hello Patrick. A buddy of mine just ordered one. We communicated by text, but I see it to be discontinued. He's not mentioned where he got it...Maybe the V1 from an individual??? If I found out, I'll let you know!
Think of it this way... It is receiver ready, ALL is included except receiver and battery including 13 servos installed, motor, ESC, retracts & lights. ANY wood/fiberglass equivalent is at least a $1200 model. Also, this is an easier to fly model, you will have more fun flying it and less worrying about it because it was not so expensive!

Put an E-flite safe select receiver in this baby and you will have the best of both worlds. Excellent video.
You're probably right! However, it has such great stability, it needs no electronic stabilization:)

At the fms site, the only 1700mm planes they have are the Tigercats, all others have been discontinued or out of stock.
The other 1700mm Warbirds are older models.... there may be newer versions coming:)

its pretty quick for a corsair... reprogram your ESC to high timing, that will give you a small boost!
Also, do a throttle calibration to make sure you are getting the full throttle range.
If you really want to boost it, replace the motor with the FMS Predator 50-60 360KV outrunner. This video was filmed with the stock 300kv motor.

is it just me or does it seem like putting a solid wing spar is hard on a gull wing?
