Very cool. I had a shortwave radio growing up and my dad just threw a wire very far back in the woods for me, which worked. A dipole would have been so easy and epic. 73 Paul KE9BHN
Shaun the Sheep is at the end of his third season now. Works like a charm. There’s nothing better than having a beer and watching the lawn mow itself. I am going to try something new when he gets put into hibernation this weekend though. I’m going to see if I can use the perimeter wire as a loop on ground.
@@James_Bowie You are completely right about that. It has been in the background of some videos though. This is after all an amateur radio channel and not a lawn mower channel. Or more correctly, I leave lawnmower discussions over to the Ham Radio Workbench.
Nice looking kit! Thanks Mort! 73
@@KS0JD you’re welcome Jeff! I have been looking at this for quite a while, and when AliExpress offered to pay for it, it was a no brainer.
Thank you.
You're welcome!

For SWL a long wire can work very well.
Do a review on that automatic lawn mower that you had a long while ago. Good, bad, other? If junk, did you replace it?

@@LB0FI Will Shaun become smalahove?
@@JohnTarbox I surely doubt that a robotic mower will taste good.
@@LB0FI Using your channel search, I cannot find any video about that mower?

Looks like a nice basis for a lot of antennas
Absolutely!
