This is the most emotional roller-coaster story I have ever heard! While I am gratified that Tim was inspired by his tragedy, I empathise with his whole life story. Tim Pearce is truly an emotionally strong individual. I sincerely hope that he and his family face better days ahead.
HANDS DOWN, the absolute best episode EVER. We are forever blessed that Tim and Kristina served us thru their time at LAPD. We owe them more than can ever be repaid. Tim & Kristina, there are no words to adequately convey our sympathies for the price you've paid in service to your community. Kristina continues to inspire us, to remind us we can always BE better and DO better. The choice is ours to respond to lifes challenges. To turn tragedy into triumph. Thank you!!! Tim, AU Fire is an amazing outcome born of a very dark time for your family. May it save lives and in some small way, compensate your family for your LIFE-CHANGING service!
Mike conducts a lot of interviews on individuals that I have never seen before or heard of. That is actually a good thing because I will have no prejudice against that person before watching. Mr. Pearce is an interesting man, and he is definitely doing a great thing for police and the military. God bless Mike, Chuck and Tim.
Wow! Just WOW! I was married to a paraplegic for 35 years, I recognized much. They are both Hero people. Thier kids will be 'interesting' wonderful people as well.
WOW, this is such a gut wrenching story of pain, sacrifice, and victory. Amazing! AND a true innovation in training for law enforcement in combat situations!
Lotta people would benefit from the realization that cops are people, too, and they're just as vulnerable as the rest of us. They just have more training and equipment to help them cope with it. But when you hear stories like this of cops lives changing or ending on the turn of a single decision, it brings much needed nuance to the issues surrounding police behavior.
This is my FAVORITE episode to date. Simply awesome! God bless this cop and his wonderful wife. God bless Mike for bring this story to us. God bless Charlie for being the lab rat. Incredible invention. I wish him the greatest success.
What a moving story. Both of them are so strong to be able keep moving forward after such adversity. His words about just sitting down and just talking like friends after his divorce is valid. That's what has helped my marriage to last 35 yesrs. When my wife and I have a big argument and it just gets circular, we just seperate sort of. Then we wait however long it takes for us both to calm down and just start talking normal, and then we resolve our differences civilly.
Wow. What a great story. My dad was good friends with the LAPD one of the top firearms instructors... I'm sure Ted would be really excited to see this implemented in the department if he was still working. I hope and pray Tim does exceedingly well with this product and many lives are saved.
This is an amazing story, absolutely. Unfortunately their drivenness to make her life ‘normal’ 6 months later did totally distract her and him from grieving and healing….thus breaking their family apart. There is NO substitute or easy way out for going through the grieving/healing process. I’m sad she resorted to the alcohol/pain meds. The grief is gonna find its way out somehow 😔 if we learn anything I hope that it is that we have to grieve and heal over a loss before we can completely move on 💖
I think Mike liked pressing those buttons a little too much :) Tim, I wish the best to all in your family and hope that you reap the rewards that you so justly deserve from your innovation. Oh, and Chuck, thank you for being such an understanding guinea pig.
Tim made a comment about the job being "fun". As a police officer for 30 years, I imagine that a lot of folks would have a problem with that statement. As a Field Training Officer, I used to advise rookies on the first day, that the job was "fun". Sure, there were good days and bad days, but when you weighted everything, it was fun and each day was different. And I'd stress that when the job was no longer "fun", it was time to get out. I also disabused them of the notion that what we did was "routine". Routine will get you killed. Best wishes to Time and Kristina, may God hold them in his hand.
What an amazing story and family. Thank you, Mike and Chuck for bringing this great technology to the attention. I hope police forces all over the world start training our police in a more realistic manner and hopefully it will prevent another officer from such devastating loss. This one had me crying for Christina and laughing for Chuck. Sorry Chuck.
An hour was not enough of Tim. The jobs that police officers do every day are so difficult and complex. This kind of presentation is so necessary. Chuck's abuse was interesting.
I remember seeing her on the home makeover. I had a young niece in a wheelchair at the time. Seeing her playing on the floor with her little girl was amazing.
I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much, in my entire life…and I’m 59 years old! Such a beautiful story! The amount of love between these two.. just hard for the layman to imagine! Just wonderful! I hate so much, that her mental state, kept them from being married. This coming from a guy who tried twice, and failed at marriage.
I used my boogie board as a rescue device to pull 2 girls away from a rocky jetty who were yelling for help. Same thing the lifeguard wasn't even looking at them. I pulled them to shore, they thanked me. I was about to go back out and the lifeguard runs up to me and grabs my arm and proceeds to cuss me out for doing his job.
Mike , this is a Hallmark movie. As retired LEO I shared with many, thank you for this amazing event that continues to inspire more of love and faith. Merry Christmas.
Gosh this is incredible. Not even finished yet. Best show, host and guests out there !! Thank you Mike and Heros Tim and Christina!! And of course Chuck!
What a powerful story. Hope his invention does amazing! He’s earned a W, in my opinion. If his invention can help just one officer or soldier it will be worth it. But I’m thinking it will help many more. 🇺🇸🏆
Powerful story for sure. I commend you for pushing through brother. You are a true warrior. I love the training idea our law enforcement needs this. I wish we had this back when I went through the academy.
Wow what an amazing story of hope, perseverance, tragedy, and faith. Thank you for having Tim on Mike. Chuck you were great, I can’t lie it was fun watching you tough through the shock.
Love this show. What amazing people are out there. Thank you Mike for allowing us to hear this truly extraordinary story and what has come about because of these truly brave folks.
If Hallmark ever went “In real life.” I’m not a crier but sheesh! So grateful that the glorious results to this story is young police officers shall become better prepared. Praying protection over each and every one of them.
47:07 The moment Mike begins to realize that he is about to spend an inordinate amount time, abusing the permission he was granted by his friend/cohost, to use an electro shock device, to force him into many unpleasant and uncontrollable positions, with varying degrees of pain. We shall call this segment the,”Spider Man’s Chicken Wing” segment. 🤣🤣🤣☠️☠️
*Amazing video, you work for 40yrs to have $1M in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K into trading from just few months ago and now they are multimillionaires*
After I raised up to 325k trading with her I bought a new House and a car here in the states 🇺🇸🇺🇸 also paid for my son's surgery (Oscar). Glory to God.shalom.
Good day all👍🏻 from Australia 🇦🇺. I have read a lot of posts that people are very happy with the financial guidance she is giving them ! What way can I get to her exactly ?
Great program wished our local law-enforcement had this tool Henry county Virginia. Wish his family all the best What’s the cost of his product? I’d like to know.
Does anyone know why I can't listen to the actual podcast? I have tried on YT music and Amazon podcast and another dedicated podcast app. It just times out.
100% respect to the Pearces, and to everyone in the community who came to their assistance. But this needs to be said: as a general principle, women shouldn’t be in military combat roles, or in firefighting, or in street policing. When we put them there, we’re buying the feminist lie that there is no difference whatsoever between men and women.

What an amazing story. It is very uplifting hearing a turn around like this, and knowing we still have great people around us.

Cops deal with the worst of the worst everyday - unsung hero’s!

I have listened to all of your podcasts and enjoyed every one. After listening to this one I had to watch Chuck get shocked. Poor Chuck

Resorting probably wasn’t what happened. But the brain injury led to that unfortunately.

This interview was so interesting….
Such a hyper-interesting life they have both lead and are still leading! Wonderful testimonies of human resilience & adventure!
🏆🏆🌷🌷💝
I don't know what you are paying Chuck, but it's not enough!😂
The police forces are suffering the same problems as the military. As the conditions deteriorate the best people leave, to be replaced by much worse.
Amazing story. Heroes among us
So uplifting to listen to such a tragic, uplifting, forgiveness story.
I remember responding that night. Chaos at the crime scene. Terrible tragedy... But God does things for a reason even if it doesn't make sense to us.
At times the words "thank you" seem so small and so pathetic 💖
If Hallmark ever went “In real life.” I’m not a crier but sheesh! So grateful that the glorious results to this story is young police officers shall become better prepared. Praying protection over each and every one of them.
I would love to be on Mike's podcast and talk about law enforcement now that I'm retired.
wow, super nice, scary, sad, unbelievable story
I guess the happiest ending would be if the 2 of them could ever remarry. God bless them both!
I believe that I just heard an account of the best, and worst, that America has to offer.
I'm already in tears. Prayers for you and your ex wife and family, and thank you for your service. I'm so sorry about your ex wife. 😢

Looks like something Elon Musk would be interested in.

Wow! A very inspiring and sad story. I do hope the guy gets filthy rich and his ex wife sonehow could get well. But, maybe the next reincarnation.
I think Mike Rowe needs to be part of President Trump’s team at least bringing jobs to America
CowboyDave139 No.
Hell yeah. Dirty hands clean money!
We need to Mike Rowe manage the education system.
Better vocational outcomes.
Great idea! 👍🌅
