MOA 美術館のコレクションは、創立者・岡田茂吉(1882 ~ 1955)が蒐集した日本・中国をはじめとする東洋美術を中心に構成されています。
なかでも国宝「紅白梅図屏風」は、二曲一双の金地を背景に白梅と紅梅を対峙させ、図案化した梅花や水流を配し装飾的な画面をつくりあげ、江戸中期の絵師・尾形光琳(1658 ~ 1716)の最高傑作と評されています。
本展では、「紅白梅図屏風」をはじめ京焼の大成者・野々村仁清作「色絵藤花文茶壺」、三大手鑑の一つと して著名な手鑑「翰墨城」の国宝 3 件の同時公開に加え「樹下美人図」「過去現在絵因果経断簡」、「山水 人物蒔絵手箱」、「青磁大壺」などコレクションの各ジャンルを代表する名品を精選し展観します。
梅花の香る熱海で日本・東洋美術の精華をゆっくりとご鑑賞ください。

The Museum’s collection, which were acquired by Okada Mokichi (1882-1955) in most part, mainly comprises works of Oriental art from Japan, China and other Asian countries. One of the most outstanding items in the collection is the Red and White Blossoms by Ogata Kōrin-a pair of folding screens acclaimed as the greatest masterpiece of the artist. Two plum trees-red and white-draw a contrast against the gold background. His designs are stylish even today, with the iconic water flow in the middle.
Three National Treasures housed in the Museum are on display, including the Tea-leaf Jar with a design of Wisteria (Nonomura Ninsei) and the calligraphy album Tekagami Kanboku-jō. Select masterpieces also accompany the exhibition, including the Lady under a Tree and the Illustrated Sutra of Past and Present Karma as well as the Cosmetic Box with a design of a landscape in maki-e and Large Celadon Jar.
Visitors will also be enjoying the plum orchard in full bloom, a nice addition to the day at the exhibition.

ここの美術館は宗教法人の所有だけど、教祖の人が「美しいものは皆で分かち合わなくてはならない」って信条を持ってらっしゃるとの事で
私の住んでいる地域の特別展の時の展示物も出し惜しみ無い素晴らしいものでした
対照的だったが某酒造会社
復興支援と銘打って企業イメージ上げようとしたみたいですが「田舎者にはこの程度でええやろ」ってのが見え見えで残念な展示会でした
都内での展示会の作品観たらほんと雲泥の差
