I’m sure they’d be even more thrilled to find out she’s reselling the disgusting boots claiming they’ve been “restored” and upcharged 100x more than the product is worth. Depop girls are the best!!!
I actually think that the way it looks when you finished it it makes it look more badass. It looks really cool and it kind of looks worn but not where it’s like. Oh yeah I’ve had these for like ever. It looks like an intentional worn and it looks really cool. It just really makes the boots look, so much better and just cooler
Thank you for this video. I bought very rare old skool early 2000’s TUK 4 Buckle boots awhile ago, when I got them the seller didn’t tell me they were peeled. I was wondering how to possibly fix/somewhat restore them for a good year until I stumbled upon your video. This is what I needed. The tutorial has helped me a lot. Again thank you for making this video. Keep it up.
Goodwill tends to get a lot of platforms around Halloween time. I got a pair of brand new funtasma 6” skeleton boots for $30 a few years ago (funtasma is a sub-brand of Pleaser) there were a lot of other pleaser brand shoes there as well :)
girl i got super happy when i found them at the thrift store they came off im in the process of fixing them cuz their just too pretty to throw them away
I love watching your videos, they've influenced me to make so much of my own clothes, and my boots actually just broke so this is perfect! Thank you so much!
This is so helpful! I have one pair of platforms that are well loved, so the sole has started coming off, and I had no idea how to fix them. Thank you!
I'm not sure by looking but the material under the acrylic paint seems to be suede, which is perfectly fine to just use as is (although it may look a little weird). I believe boots like those use a polyurethane paint as the outer layer, which can be applied via airbrush for an even, shiny finish. Either way, a very impressive restore.
I love restoring old shoes and clothes, I’m up in age and my family tells me just throw that stuff away and buy more, it’s more so a challenge as well to see if I can do it and give them to someone who needs this stuff like the homeless
I had a pair of boots like that, which were my go-to concert boots. Main floor and 5'3" height + those boots [maybe 7 inches or so?] = not so abysmally short to be able to see over others. I tried re-glueing them using epoxy. It lasted for a very short while. I am sure someone is rejoicing at this video tutorial, as I would have a couple decades ago! 😉
I’m so glad I found this! I have a pair of high heeled combat boots that are faux leather and they’re peeling and I’ve been holding on to them til I figured out how to fix this! Thanks!
m happy you repaired them they look so good ^.^ recently my bear 104’s broke and the nail shot into my foot m trying to see others process with others fixing demonias or jus platforms but!! i think i just have to put the nail back in place n use the glue you’ve used :3
How much were these at the thrift store? I found a pair of demonias for 15$ one time and it needs some repairing but they were in pretty good condition
I am going to do this with my Unif Dada boots. I've worn them only a couple times but the patent leather has already cracked and started peeling. I probably will change the outer appearance all together. At this point though moving forward if it isn't real leather I'm not interested.
Honestly I have nothing better to do and this is a great way to save money so! I would probly restore these so precisely lol . I would put like forever trying to make these look new 💀😁
Without having watched the full video: After glueing them back together, remove the insoles and put some drywall screws through the heel from the inside of the shoe at the heel, one at the back, and at least one on each side at the front of the heel, so they make the corners of a triangle. Did this to any boot and shoe soles that delaminate and it put an end to it. You can't feel the screws at all since they sit flush, and you can always cover them with an insole. They don't need to be very long, as long as they stick one cm or so into the sole you're good.
Just found you on instagram recently, I've been wanting to get intoore clothes customization, so I really hope I win your giveaway and use more of your videos for help!!
This was so satisfying I love the texture on it now more than just faux leather. Here for the giveaway also @tripijaharda 😊 I wanna restore the boots like how you did these and wear them. 🤣 they’re too cute.
I'm sure the person who donated them would be ecstatic to find out that someone cared for them enough to restore them!
that perspective actually makes my heart so happy!! 🥺🖤
I’m sure they’d be even more thrilled to find out she’s reselling the disgusting boots claiming they’ve been “restored” and upcharged 100x more than the product is worth. Depop girls are the best!!!
You killed it!!! The new texture gives them character
Baby no it doesn’t🤭 stop lying😐
You did an amazing job with repurposing these boots ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

I've learned my lesson to never spend over 100 dollars on shoes unless they're real leather
