- Not something I wanted to happen for sure but the car I bought from the Auctions here in Japan has a blown engine in it & it was not disclosed on the Auction paperwork.

You removed the magic stones, which voided the warranty......
Broken Dragon Spheres!
😂😂😂
now the car is cursed!
Lithium crystals are cracked
😅😂😂😂😂
The one test you should’ve done is pressurize the radiator. If you leave the spark plugs out the cylinders, I’ll fill up with fluid I’m putting my money on head gasket antifreeze smells sweet when it burns.
I think the same...!👍🏻
Tastes sweet too.
100% coolant burning combined with steam. Could be heading gasket, but could also be a crack somewhere in a water gallery letting coolant in. But I would go with head gasket 💯
@@tinyrakau4781smoke isn't blue and oil doesn't smell sweet when burned. It would be obvious if it was oil burning.
Exactly, plus oil in the cylinder will give false compression results
Considering how there wasn't anything about the engine on the inspection report, I think it's ok to not include any repair/ replacement costs for the engine in the budget. (Edit: I haven't watched the whole video at this point)
I agree as well, also didn’t want the whole video yet as well lmfao
Sammit's way of buying cars:
- Buy car for cheap at auction
- Rev it like a moron
- See smoke from exhaust
- Ignore smoke, rev it some more
- Put Wish turbo on it
- Rev it even more
- Make a video crying about getting scammed by the auction
*sigh*
Should´ve bought a car from the Forza auction
do you normally have comprehension skill issues?
@@artoodiitoo XDDDDDDDDDDD
It’s a 500$ car in 2024 you get what you get
$450 car isn't running perfectly. Must be a scam 😂
I got scammed by the one of the biggest auction houses as well. A coupld days ago, I won a bid on a 2006 Honda Integra Type R but when my exporter picked it up, the VIN plate showed it's a Type S. We sent the car back to Honda dealer to check, and multiple dealers confirmed it's manufactured as a Type S not a Type R. So the previous owner literally swapped everything to a Type R and dishonestly reported it on the auction sheet and the MLIT as a Type R. Lesson learned: never trust everything on the auction sheet, DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH!
You could of checked by the vin that’s on the auction sheet if it’s type s or R
Do you know any free sites? All the ones I found were paid.
@@omarikirton8933 no this one is actually quite detailed
Mostly gov sites are free
If your spending the money fly over it will save you a lot of heartbreak Lots of Scrap coming into Ireland at the moment mostly Valve seals and Stripped timming belts some sparkplug holes were full of water shorting the plug easy fix.
That Wish turbo definitely did it in 😂
Should’ve sprayed some nos directly into the electric turbo 😂
Ah yes, I love when my Electric turbo puts oil in my engine
Auction-You turbo charge the car ?
Sammit-Yes but it was a a small one that barely boosted and just a small NOS shot
Auction-Sorry warranty doesn't cover you when you turbo it and use NOS
I say just buy the turbo engine and build it. If you go with the NA then don't include the NA in the cost for build!!! I wouldn't include anything you spend on that engine to get it functional.
You bought a fog machine. 😅😂😂😂
Turbo Zelensky will buy it. Maybe he'd pay a million for a good smoke machine. Ukraine needs this desperately.
2:27 sweet smell is glycol, coolant.
went to say the same thing
White smoke is coolant, blue is oil and black too much fuel.
If a defective engine was not declared in the sheet, the car can be returned. This also applies to the gearbox and the differential.
Not in Japan 😂
White and sweet = coolant. Prob head gasket
do a bleed down
Car has diabetes
Can be but i also have seen a car once that had bad valve seals were they did put a addition to the oil to try to stop it.. this also did give a sweet like smell and lots of white smoke.. coolant has a typical smell every single car enthousiast will know it when it is coolant.. white smoke can be a bad head gasket but it doesnt have to be.. the older v8's from bmw were also known to blow lot's of white smoke.. mostly of the time it ended up being the valve seals that were failing..
7:49 Casually washing out the cylinder walls 😂
Take the engine price out of the budget. This is a great example that anyone can run into with these types of projects. You can always have that cost on a separate line and use it as an example to always have some sort of contingency budget. How did that get a 3.5 ? 🤣😂
30000¥ is about 180€ so 200$...for a new engine...so cheap! I wish we have those here in France...at this price!
106, 107 or 108 should be cheap in France!!
Oil leaking down the plugs 😂😂😂 … omg the reason you got oil on plugs is because you unscrewed them while oil in chamber and it came down thread , oil doesnt ever go down the thread … that made me laugh 😂
When we got this Suzuki carries and Mighty boys in Australia they would do this and it was always related to the PCV system. I’d be checking the PCV system completely.
So many engine written off that had nothing wrong with it other than the PCV system
I think a building forging the engine and putting a g25 with 20+ psi would be awesome
Now i have watched it all, check the intake for oil as all cylinders have oil. if the intake is full of oil, then it's probably the PCV valve on the valve cover thats knackered. Sometimes you can just clean them as the ball bearing gets stuck open, but they're cheap and best just to replace
Yupppp
One thing you haven't considered, the dip stick may not be the correct one for this car and may be too short therefore when you fill it up with oil you are overfilling it. Simple way to check is to drain the oils and see how much it in there (plus you can check the oil for coolant). This would simply explain ALL the symptoms.
Get rid of the stupid thing. I'm not exactly on board with the build to begin with, but the fact that it's smoked out of the gate is enough to can the thing and start over with another car.
Or Go on with the S15 Restauration
It was those rocks that you removed that was keeping the engine working fine. Keeping bad juju away from the engine 😂
Awesome video as always Sammit. Blow the engine and then replace it with a turbo engine. Also the channel needs more Sammit Karaoke😂.
cant believe how long its been since i first watched you when you resurrected the s15
Buy the turbo engine already. Doing budget builds tho stuff like this happens it's important to show cheap isn't always good. Taking away that variable takes away from the experiment
The sweet smell is 100% coolant. The smoke was white, like coolant. You know what it is Sam.
I think you were right about the valve stem seals. With the lower compression might be easier to fix the stem seals and then run boost without having too much money in this car.
No, the bottom of the oilcap has never been a good indicator of a blown head gasket, the oil cap is the place on the engine were moisture collects and mixes with oil, very normal to see milky oil there with no engine problems. Dipstick and radiator IS the place to check for a blown gasket, but the gasket can fail in many ways, so you got to do several checks
Pretty sure these engines had a recall for high Rev driving causing cracks in the water jacket causing water to enter into the cylinders causing the smoking issue which is most commonly attributed to a blown head gasket. You will probably have good compression across the board but if you stick a borescope in each spark plug hole and check your cylinder liners when you pressurize the coolant system to 20 psi I'm willing to bet you will see coolant seeping into the cylinders
Lol oil won't seep past the plug. You'd be losing compression and blowing that oil out everywhere.
It's okay Sammit, replace the engine, we won't tell anyone.
bad valve seals if the head gasket was bad compression would be low it’s a easy fix just put the piston in TDC make sure the valves are sealed put the compression tester hose to the air compressor of the shop remove the valve springs then the seal then put it all back together move to the next piston. always remember to put it in TDC and to make sure the valves in the cylinder you’re working are properly sealed if not you’re going to have a bad time
Everything. Fortunate and unfortunate has to go in the budget.
if everything goes right it isnt a car its a unicorn
You mean it’s not rolling coal in that import car!?? 😜😜😜😂😂😂😂😂
My dad said "sammit is an odd name for a corn site" 😂
@SAMMIT I'm a hot wheels collector and I'm pretty sure you have the super treasure hunt version of the civic. Possibly more in box and sell for gd money. Do not open until you check!!!!!!!
I saw that too :)
I’d deduct the cost of a replacement NA engine from the total sale price of the car. I think it’s fair to keep the budget balanced for an unforeseen failure that wasn’t disclosed.
5:20 That sounds like something i havent heard in real life🤣😭
white smoke+sweet smell = coolant. has a blown head gasket.
Just needs a hayabusa engine swap if the old motor is toast
I like how you think 👍
The singing at the end we need more of that kinda fun
Sammit it's like your own little diecast car I'd Yamaha R6 swap Turbo/exhaust , aero/wheels slam it have fun beat the heck out of it 👌 keep up the great work 👍
You know what F the 2k budget challenge. Drop a tenner on that boii.. our kei deserves some love
My moms sewing machine was bigger than that engine. Probably more powerful too...😂
White smoke can be brake fluid there could be a leak into the brake booster and getting into the vacuum line into the intake manifold.
Motorcycle oil smells sweet! Maybe do TWO ENGINE OIL FLUSHES AND PUT A THICKER OIL IN IT 😊😊
i would say you dont have to add the engine price to the build
I am currently working on one of my cars and conventional oil from Motul ( 10w-30 ) that I am using, it has an odd sweet smell to it when it gets hot. No coolant leaks as far as I can tell.
you have to put the rocks back in, they were keeping it alive.
Just replace the value seals.
I know what's wrong with it... It got no gas in it! 😂
Head gasket for sure. White smoke and sweet smell. This car probably overheated at some point. Mate of mine picked up a Camaro super cheap. When he started it up, it flooded the street with white smoke. I told him "either we have a new pope, or this head gasket is done!" He fixed the issue and after a few mods was running in the 12s in the quarter. Too much work for this car, so go for the engine upgrade after finding a creative way to send this one off in a blaze of glory!
Cut the loss mate motors cooked, slap a turbo engine in it. Then upgrade that👌
Sad to see the new project start of like that but im sure it'll be amazing to watch. I just wanted to say that those hot wheels are actually kind of collectable and each one of them is worth about 80 to 100 dollers.
the gold flame behind the hotwheels car on the carboard means its a super treasure hunt those are mad rare lol
Rudnik just had a bad valve cover leaking causing misfiring 😂
Daiki going in for the vape 😂👍
Put the turbo engine in it. Take the build to the top right in the beginning.
Well...if its like some other Kei engines you will need to get the pistonrings sorted. In most cases those cars arnt well maintaned after some mileage which creates deposits in the ring grooves. Its pretty common. Next would be valvestem seals. 3rd possibility is a blown head gasket. No matter what it is you will not fix it without at least takeing the Head off or you have the tools to pressurize the cylinders to keep the valves up for stem seal replacement. Good luck with it...i love my KEI thats why I have 2 spare engines ;-)
All that oil smoke may have poisoned the 02 sensors so that the ECU cannot trim the A/F ratios correctly and update its map. May also pay to clean/replace the plugs if one or more got fouled in the process. Do not rev the motor until its settled down, take it easy.
You should wrap the car in dammit Sammit tape😢,nice singing at the end by the way😅
5:54 good oil always smells sweet bad oil smells sour
Keep going until the engine explodes then put a new engine in.. excluding the budget 100%….. dammit sammit
You need to add more turbos to the k car, add like 3 more turbos, it might get 4 psi running through it
Kei car running on sesame oil, teriyaki marinade, and hopes+dreams.
Someone had to have taken that head off at some point, no way did that just magically happen
Had this problem recently on my sr20det, oil ontop of pistons and burning 1 litre of oil in 50miles. Turned out to be stuck oil control rings
Compression Testing: Code for other activities in miscellaneous parking lots
sam check the pcv valve to see if it is stuck open and sucking oil vapour also if the smoke smells sweet it is coolant thus a head gasket for shits and giggles if it is throw a handful of ground pepper in the radiator it will stop the head gasket leak old bushy trick cheers from broken hill
once the wagon is up and running and fixed you should turn it into a Sammit merch wagon for when you go to do your drift events?
Swap a 1000cc motorcycle engine in it 😂
The warranty thing is kinda voided by adding the turbo and uploading the proof to UA-cam! They can use that to get out of refunding the money.
If it's to good to be true, it must be...Smoky and Dodgy 😂 Wow HKS Hot Wheels. Sugoi ✌️ 🇦🇺
I'm more curious now than anything.
fix it! LOL Cant wait to see it become a KT-RR!
Please name this car “canola” 😂
Send it and buy the turbo engine! Scrap everything off the old one to get some money back for the budget!
Hell yeah....just scrap it to junkyard 🔥🔥🔥
Turbo engine should be what you put in it as a replacement, makes no sense to put an NA one in if you can put a turbo one in for so cheap
My guess head gasket cuz white smoke is normally coolant. If you don't return it and go to swap it I wouldn't count it against u if same engine if turbo swap then maybe the difference between the 2 cost wise
other than the fuel pressure regulator being ruptured the turbo seals can couse the same issue, but I see you removed that. also must do a leak down test not a compression test
Tapet rings, change Tge o rings on the tapets....
Do a full head gasket check.
Could be like the honda d series engines. Theres seals under the rocker assembly that leak into the cylinders. Smokes just as bad
Put a hybusa engine in it
I’d say valve stem seals, I had an ae86 that has the same issue, changed the seals and it was gone.
Hie buddie. This is a sign of a bad PCV valve. I have sean the same on when I was fixing a Mazda 3 . You may going to throw a good motor away. You ned to replace the PCV valve, the remove the intake manifolds and drain the oil that has accumulated in it. Its a lot of oil, and its looks fresh from the oilpan. Clean the intake manifold, replace the PCV and you are hot again. Please give it a try, tell me i was wrong.
what was in the airbox? rodents living in there? lol hope the auction house dosnt see your mods they might try say warranty void lol
Pcv valve broken and allowing oil to be sucked from valve cover into intake and in turn into all three cylinders. Good possibility. Had an engine doing this recently myself.
Paint lowerd on wide Japanese 13s with stretched rubber and turbo engine with antilag will be mint
i havent made it to the end of the video, but if the engine is bad i think it SHOULD be included in the price, because if this happened to someone doing this project, they might be able to disregard budget like that, and itll make for a creative attack
sammit I was thinking maybe the o ring separator that separates wood, oil and fuel
or else it could be the bracing spring that sits in the piston between the piston springs
Sammit those HKS Hot Wheels are sick I absolutely love HKS I have a few cause I collect/customize all brand 1/64 scale cars hence my UA-cam name 👍
More karaoke lol 😂😂
the car smokes more then a subaru driver whed a vape lol
Haha 😂 what a ending to the bud 😊
That was a super treasure hunt hotwheels civic dude that’s crazy!!
Dumb suggestion : increase the budget to 5k USD ( cause inflation lol ) swap the engine and start fresh. The less problems the better 🤘🏽
I'd say get the turbo engine are ready and then upgrade from there no additional cost to put the rest of it in the car and get that much better car in the end. Unless you can trade it for a turbo car to the auctions because it is blown you might not get the jci that you're looking for but this wasn't about to drive on the street.
Definetly agree. Font count engine replacement as part of budget.
I'd say keep it as is and you got yourself an expensive humidifier that can double as insect repellent that can keep mosquitos out of your garage.
Bet its still just the seal under the valve cover. I have had that happen before and gasket maker didn’t work!
