At this point and this late in the game, it’s just great to hear a Beatle sing a Beatles song. He was part of the greatest group in history and he’s played way past the expiration date. I mean he’s 80 years old! What do you expect now? He’s played live shows for the past 30 years way past when most Rockers retire to a Rocking Chair! It’s all gravy at this point! He’s made millions of people happy worldwide to see a living Beatle including playing in Russia when no one ever thought that would be possible. I am pleased that he’s doing this Tour and it could very well be the last one. If you didn’t see him live it was your fault because he toured everywhere in the past 30 years. Thanks Macca! 👏🏻🎸😎
@Fat Jack Great! I’m glad you had a good time! But Tickets 🎟 Prices now are out of my Price Range! I went to shows years ago and never paid more than 50 $! That was then, this is now. Now I can only watch shows on UA-cam. It’s okay because I have a Big Flat Screen TV and I can broadcast any Show. It’s almost like being there and it’s Free! But you have Good kids! They paid you back a bit and why not? You deserve it! 👏🏻😎
@Fat Jack Hey fellow Beatles Fan and friend! Isn’t it great how music can bring people together? I’m a Beatles Fan since I was Ten. A long time ago. They are still the greatest band ever! What a phenomenon they were and are still! But I just wanted to say how much I enjoy hearing British slang and sayings and trying to figure out what it means. I watched the Get Back clips on UA-cam and it was good seeing John and George again. I could listen to them talk all day. That Liverpool accent is so charming and funny. Scouse they call it! You see, I’m learning all the time! Benny Hill used to say that. I enjoyed his show and Monty Python 🐍! Or is it Monty’s Python 🐍? Just kidding but they all made their Cultural contributions to Western culture just like Shakespeare. I love the turn of the phrase. We had a smashing good time and that song was a banger! Someday I hope I get to visit London and visit Abbey Road Studios. I’m sure I’ll see the Crosswalk too! But I really want to go see the Studio where that incredible music was recorded! That I have to see! And be in the same room where the Beatles were recording and joking around. What an iconic studio! You know they recorded the White Album in 1968! They were literally 40 to 50 years ahead of their time! Because that album still sounds fresh, powerful and modern to this day. To my ears anyway. And I must try some Fish and Chips and ride on a Red Double Decker Bus on the Top and see London that way. And take the Tour! 👏🏻🎸😎
@Fat Jack Thanks for sharing your great memories from the British point of view. I like to hear personal stories and insights from those special moments from the past. I guess I am fonder of the past joys than the present misery with the Covid plague and the hideous War going on currently. Can you blame one for trying to escape to a better time? My sister always says I live in the past too much but the past was so much better than the present. Don’t you agree? The music was better! For that I am certain by any objective standard. So I don’t agree with her. I prefer to listen to the great music of the past and ignore todays disposable culture. Benny Hill is banned because he wasn’t PC? Ridiculous! He made me howl with laughter. My father even thought he was funny and enjoyed his show. All he did was act like a randy school boy. So what? That’s improper now? I don’t care! I’m not PC either and even Charlie Chaplin praised him and was a fan! High praise from a legend! I’m not offended by his show. I’m a red blooded guy. He was great! He wrote his own original songs, limericks and comedy skits. He was talented! RIP Benny-I love the man! The Satellite 📡 broadcast I missed live because in 67 I was 4 years old. A little before my time but I’ve seen it since on UA-cam. Thank God for the creation of UA-cam. I’ve watched British shows and appearances from the Beatles that were never shown here. I just saw a great clip of the Stones singing I wanna be your Man for the first time! John and Paul wrote that song for them so they could get a hit song and it helped kickstart their career. The Beatles lead everyone! Now when I hear All you need is love I cry because I think of Lennon and it’s a sad reminder of what happened to him. I get a melancholy feeling from that song. And the Rutles said it better when they parodied it and sang All you need is Cash! 😂 And I watched the great clip of Revolution when they played it live on British TV. That’s one of their most powerful songs with smart lyrics by Lennon. So I get to see great clips now that I missed. Better late then never as they say. Yeah, you’re right about the Fish and Chips. I just had some good ones yesterday. I like mine Beer Battered and crispy. But if I ever visit I have to try them by you. We have a long Friday Fish fry tradition going on here. My Church had a good Friday Fish Fry business going for years. Excellent Fish. They would give you 3 Big pieces with fries and coleslaw. Delicious! You can’t beat it! But you’re about the Fish tasting better by the Seaside. It must be the Fresh Sea Air and atmosphere that makes it taste better! Dining Al Fresco is always tastier! Anyway, enjoy the Legacy the Beatles left us all with! I know you do already. Good Talking to you! 👏🏻🎸😎
@Fat Jack Beer Battered Fish I guess they came up with here. Memories and Family are all we have my friend! Hold on to them as long as you can. I enjoyed talking to you as well. 👏🏻😎 A fellow Beatle fan from across the Pond. And believe you me, the Atlantic Ocean 🌊 is huge and vast with big Waves 🌊. And salty water! I swam in a pool on a Ship and it was Salt water they used from the Ocean. Those Dunderheads! I opened my eyes and got blinded almost and I tasted some water and it was terrible! I know because I went across as a kid with my mother and sister on the SS France ship 🛳 when I was Ten! I’ll never forget when the tables would sway and I’d look outside and see waves 🌊 that were a Storie High. It was actually terrifying! I thought if this Ship goes down, I’ll be lost in a huge Cold Water Ocean and Drown and go down, down, down into a Watery grave. Never to be found! It took 5 days to go across to France. It seemed like forever. Never again will I travel by Boat 🛥. It was my mother’s dumb idea. She enjoyed it! My sister and I hated it! But she was the Boss! So we had to follow like her Slave Children. The baby ducks have to follow the Mama Duck. 👎🏻🦨 A memory I will never forget! 😅
@Fat Jack Yeah, they sure do! No way would I ever be Sailor in a smaller Vessel going on the Ocean 🌊. Those Ocean 🌊 Waves are Huge! It’s almost like trying to go through some Mountains made of Water. You are getting tossed around like a Toy Ducky! The Sea 🌊 is Powerful! And the Ocean is relentless and unforgiving. You capsize out there and you’re in a World 🌎 of hurt! Nothing around for miles. And you may not even know the direction home. So being lost makes it even worse. No thanks! I didn’t get Seasick but I was scared! Those early Pioneers had guts. I don’t! Flying is a whole nother animal. The takeoffs 🛫 and landings make me nervous the most. It still amazes me that it’s possible to leave the ground with all that weight in a plane. ✈️ They definitely have to achieve a certain takeoff speed or it’s a no go. One time I could feel hesitation when we were climbing and I thought we were going to crash back down and I was bracing myself! Another time we were landing in NYC and I couldn’t see the end of the Runway. So I thought we were going over into the water at the end. That was harrowing! If you haven’t flown by now, it might be best to not tempt Fate at this late in the game. 😉 You can take the Chunnel to France 🇫🇷 and the rest of Europe. So that’s a good option! And they have fast speed rail trains too! It’s been fun sharing these experiences! Good luck to you! 👏🏻🎸😎
