    I'm having issues with Bauers new fit system. I was a senior 6 but now seniors start at 7. I do not want an intermediate skate ...there is a difference in quality and feel. I just tried several pairs on. I did not realize the FT4 had a tapered fit now . I will be trying these skates on....Hopefully things work out!!!

      The change to put 6.0 & 6.5 into the intermediate category benefited the majority of consumers on price point, but we can certainly understand the concern around feel. The CCM 3-fit system is great as it offers an even wider variety of fits while retaining quality along the way. We're hoping these work out for you!

      I had the same issue, just got the ccm ft4’s for that reason the intermediate in ccm feels as good as the senior model no different at all, unlike Bauer....

      Yeah, problem with me is I'm a man and a intermediate boot can not hold my weight. I was going to go with CCM but I ended up buying True skates. The skates were on sale so I tried a pair on. I was really impressed. I was hesitant because of there blade system. That said in the ice they felt really good. Their shift blade is better then bauers mid level skate models in my opinion. Thanks Bauer for discriminating . I have now found a perfect pair of skates with True. Very happy with True.

    Hi, Is the CCM FT485 a good choice for a 10-year-old child who trains 4-5 times a week? Is it better to choose FT4 Jr.? Will they not be too stiff for him?

    • @purehockey
      @purehockey  Рік тому +1

      We would recommend going with the FT4 if your child is skating that much. With the stiffer boot it won't break down as easily. It may feel stiff at first if your child isn't used to that but should break in pretty quickly. If the FT4 isn't in the budget, the FT485 wouldn't be a bad choice and still has plenty of great features.

    Hi PureHockey,could you probably help me out .I just got these skates in the size 12 .It is the largest size by many of CCM skates.Left foot is ok,but on the right one i am touching the toe cap .Is there any way probably by "baking" to stretch them just a bit ?Thank you so much.

      Baking them may help give a bit more room. You may also get more room once they are broken in a bit. If you have more questions about this, you can bring them to your local store or reach out to customer service and we can try to help! 866-787-3462 or customerservice@purehockey.com.

    What’s the difference between the ft4 and the ft4 pros?
    Are the ft4 pros lighter?

    • @purehockey
      @purehockey  3 роки тому

      Plenty of upgrades from the FT4 to the FT4 Pro! However, both skates are considered to be high performance models for elite players. The FT4 Pro has upgraded quarter package with the highest grade composites making it a stiffer more responsive boot, upgraded liner, footbed and tongue. Plus, the FT4 Pro skates come with Step Blacksteel for the best edge retention and blade performance. Thanks!

    no mention on protection

    • @purehockey
      @purehockey  Рік тому

      Hey there! We don't typically reference protection on a skate like we would a shoulder pad or glove because most skates are built to protect your foot from all types of situations. We get into the difference on the boot buildup which will enhance performance, as well as features such as runner, holder, liner, tongue and more!

      - Interchangeable Tongues
      - Upgraded Quarter Package
      - And Yes, Different Graphics
      Basically the same, but different. 😉

      The dumbest comment on the internet...congratulations. They are nothing alike (obviously). But go ahead and enjoy your 490's bud. Lolz...

      @@MXJEFF94 the fit Is probably a marketing gimmick, they gave 490 users the same step steel, it has basically the same 1 piece composite boot like the 490 and they just changed up the tongue so I mean yeah, you won't find much of a difference when you skate on the two.
