Kroxigor have my favourite kill animation in the game, where they do a deathroll. What an absolute monster.
It does 2 attacks in a row and thus twice the damage or does this animation splits the damage by two for the targets?
@@vseznamus8862 Heros and monsters frequently have either splash and/or multi strikes. If I recall correctly, when they do it will divide their full damage between a specific maximum number of targets. For example when a hero swings their weapon sends 10 guys flying, it will actually only be harming somewhere around 2 to 5 of them depending on the hero, and the others are just getting knocked down without taking damage from it. The exact number of splash attack targets is hidden without delving into the files or other sources though. In the Kroxigors case it's probably splitting the splash attack targets between the two attacks. Maybe something like harming 2 or 3 targets each time.
Another quirk of splash attacks, is that when heros or lords fight each other, they count as high priority targets and instead absorb all of the attacks, dealing their full damage to each other, and effectively protect nearby units from harm.
Zerkovich has a video on this subject somewhere if you want to get a better run down of the hidden mechanic.
@@UnknownSquid Deathmaster Sniktch is the only exception. He does his full damage every time he lands any of his three attacks. He cuts through infantry, lords and heroes like a hot knife through butter.

Yes it is a very cool animation, but horrid to use in actual combat because he just yeets himself right into the enemy and gets surrounded
@@Nightmare_52 and then yeets out of it, if you order him to charge the unit next to it. Else: charge the enemy with Nakai inbetween them, and count it as a rear charge 😁

There is a unit called a Sacred Kroxigor on the tabletop.
@@robertnelson9599 they are in the game too but you need a mod to get kroxigors as a hero unit, otherwise you can only have them as lords or infantry units

There should be a Kroxigor hero in game. Like an Elder Kroxigor who is a level below an Ancient Kroxigor. Which is all crazy because Ancient Kroxigors used to be on tabletop the equivalent of a regiment leader. Talk about promotion. And they don't suffer from the Peter Principle.

Educative fact of the day: after catching a prey, crocodiles and alligators usually spin around their length to kill it quickly. The kroxigor spin attack animation is probably based on that

The blowpipe ones are.. enemy without shields loose half health, then break and get overrun. Marauders & Friends. Constant poison means chasing them at 3/4 speed max. Then have them charge in water, get 20% attack and def buff for being aquatic and the attacker looses 20% on his own melee attack... they are no stegadons, but they have their uses...
NOW THAT A LOT OF DAMAGE!
