Hi! So this is actually my army that I sent in, so I thought I could clarify a few points about the state of the campaign: - The reason why I've only just captured Lustria is because I was walking around the map farming LL defeat traits with Nakai. The only purpose of this campaign was to build this idea I had for the army and have fun with some Kroxigors (my fave unit). - The reason I'm at war with everyone is because I declared war on a lot of people to try and set up a good battle for this video. Before the video I was friendly with the High Elves and Empire, who were allies. I actually think the diplomatic penalty on the Sword of Khaine is balanced out by the strong tech tree bonuses to diplomacy. +45 vs the -40 from the SoK. Most of the wars were deliberately started by me. - You have a good point about shuffling the mounts on my wizards to fit the situation! I'm a bit lazy and leave them. The beast wizards are in the army on terradons because amber spear and the fireballs are good at sniping artillery, which is one weakness of this army. - They're not too bad at beating single entity monsters, but you really need to micro them with attack orders, so it's a bit intensive. Usually I task Nakai with fighting the lords and heroes one by one. Thank you so much for featuring my army, and thanks for all the great content! I'll go back to this campaign and see if I can survive the next 100 turns...

@@KazeKoichi I'm going to guess none of this was addressed in an email. In the video Legend does say that he doesn't know if the wars were deliberate. In the end if it's not deliberate it would be a negative.
@@slinkyslink5161 He's a monster. I played him the other day and completed a Very Hard campaign in maybe 3 hours just because he walked through EVERYTHING. I just had him, a Skink Priest, a Saurus Scar Veteran, and the rest were sacred Kroxigors. Absolutely devastating.
Imagine being an Estalian and looking outside of your farmhouse to see an army of crocodile men fighting an army of elves with giant eagles and dragons
Another thing to consider with the sword of Khaine is whether or not you’re at war with the HE, especially Tyrion, and how good your armies would be against him. Playing as VC, Tyrion came at me with the sword and after beating him I realize if I didn’t keep the sword, Tyrion would get it again and come back in 10 turns with a stronger army. Sometimes it’s not about getting a cool, flashy weapon to flex on the enemy, it’s about denying the AI the ability to use that weapon against you.
I love when somebody sends in a lizardmen doomstack with Lord Kroak in it. This guy can probably make any army viable. Saurus-Stack + Kroak 7/10, Skinks+ Kroak even stronger, etc.
As much as I love Kroak, I feel like it undermines the spirit of a doomstack. A doomstack is meant to showcase the strength of one unit, and any other units in the army are only there to support that unit. Legend has even avoided using magic in previous videos for that very reason. I feel like that that point it's more like a "rate my army" than "rate my doomstack".
I was thinking about that too the whole video, how can they possibly still be alive? (Portugal and Spain) are usually the first ones to bite the dust, maybe they got saved by staying neutral and relying on other wars to not involve them.
If Clan Skyre and Pirates of Sartosa declare war to each other in the early game, they can have a very long stalemate. Sooner or later Belegar or Carcassone will declare war on them and if unprepared they can eliminate them.
The purpose of the 3 beast wizards was probably to cast Pann's Impenetrable Pelt (+22% physical resistance) constantly to buff the Kroxigor blob and also make it even faster. I guess if you have 3 casters you can do it constantly. + also triple amber spear can be useful
I agree with Legend about Sword of Kain bad, but i REALLY like the synergy with strong brawler infantry + magic buffing. And crocs are cool, especially the Sacred ones.
To be fair, Tyrion is going to be an absolute monster by turn 247. I've run into him several times late game and found him unbeatable by whatever faction I was using - just had to break his army.
this campaign is fine as someone that loves play nakai I always go for sword of kaine since nakai is the least liked of the order tide (he can't trade military access etc which improves diplomatic relations) everyone will prioritize either you or your vassal anyway. Besides losing a settlement as nakai means nothing but the empire losing aldorf sets them back in a major way. Even if they take it back it's tier 1 again. Nakai wins a war of attrition.
It's so crazy seeing a battle like that and then not even saving the replay - if I'd have won that battle id be watching that shit from every angle known to man
I had an army similar to this, only I had blessed kroxigors and 3 dread saurians in the mix. Those 3 dread saurians were the ones that helped me take out Tyrion when he had the sword of khaine at the end of the playthrough :D
The banners of eternal flame probably hurt their dps alot against the high elf heavy hitters (Tyrion, Phoenixes, Dragon Princes). Should have probably removed them before this particular battle.
I play Nakai a lot, I like getting the sword of Khaine (because big dino swinging tiny sword), the diplomacy stuff is 110% true. Especially since Defenders of the Great Plan will have war declared on them quite a bit too. Late game, everyone is warring against me or the vassal, literally impossible to hold anything.
Problem of army philosophy. Outside of the early game, Nakai does not "hold" territory. Don't bother yourself with protecting the vassal's territory. Just charge straight onto the heart of whatever faction is destroying them. Either their main army/ies will come back to deal with you and ne eaten by gators, or else you'll just gut their high end provinces and neuter their ability to recruit quality armies in record time. You come back to mop up whatever they took afterwards, or even better, have a secondary army whose job is retaking blobs of previously captured stuff.
In my current spirit of the jungle campaign the only wars I fought besides the ones I launched are those I was dragged into by the vassal due to its weakness and difference between power and settlements owned
@@sokar_rostau I'm not because I haven't met everyone yet. But I just finished taking Norsca and went down to kill the Vampire Counts when the Dwarfs declared war on my vassal, dragging the empire into it. 90% wardsave nakai and a pterodon heavens priest, plus the isabella regen trait is a better stack than what this guy made. Main reason is because they can still down 2-3 stacks, but because it is only 2 units they won't send as many.
I just did a Nakai campaign on Very Hard. Had alliances with Maz and Gor, but they eventually declared war on my vassal faction and I had to fight them despite having a fantastic relationship with them. Is there a way to keep that from happening and to keep fellow Lizardmen from attacking your vassal?
Assessment correct as it's definitely hindered the campaign, however I didn't get to see who tyrion was military allies with because he will declare war on most factions upon discovering them in my experience even with you are neutral to (+5 to 10) he could have dragged all these other factions into war against him, but either way that diplomatic penalty is doing no favors to ending the wars.

The end of this video when rating the doomstack is probably Legend's worst analysis of a doomstack. Defenders of the Great Plan are a separate faction so you can declare war on others w/o calling on your allies...
Agreed. The problem is the vassal faction. They declare war on strange things all the time, and you're forced into war with anything they are. The Sword obviously isn't helping, but it's not the cause.

Strange like Mazdamundi taking the entirety of Ulthwan and Alith Anar's coastline, Wulfric taking Estalia, Beastmen forming a successful, stable cityship in Araby and becoming trade partners with Dwarfs and Clan Skryre, Eatine carving out a section of the Empire to live there, and Clan Moulder owning Naggarond.
I've never played Nakai, but I thought he couldn't confederate other lizardmen, being a horde. But this guy got Gor-Rok, so it's possible? Are their lands handed over to the vassal?

And that's why you kill the empire first
WELCOME TO ESTALIA, GATORMEN
how do i get sword of khaine (dominating)? i usually only get the thirsting version
Crocodile dundee is back
I just did a Nakai campaign on Very Hard.
Don't lizardmen tech give +45?
apparently the owner of the campaign actually declared war on the order-tide in order to get a decent battle for the vid.
Lets not get beastly wizard with the LTW.. im sure its a tease at your distain for a Beasti wizard.
I’ve got a nakai doomstack and it’s just ridiculous gave up on campaign after soloing legendary chaos invasion
Well of course Nakai The Wanderer is going to go to war against the High Elves alarielle the everqueen keeps calling out his name whenever she casts a spell and he be all like stop calling me
any chance of a lizardmen legendary lord comparison ?
Gor-oq
*Confederate noises*
Win
doubt it, he often said mots legendary lords for lizardmen just pale in comparism to Life Slanns anyway ^^
@@lordfenix17 Since he starts with Kroak, the mobile nuke platform, that's probably the best choice. Just a blob of Saurus with the most powerful caster in the Warhammer world (at least in ye olde lore).
i would not call it a Sacred Kroxigor Doomstack. I would rather say "lord blap and Co"
I never understood why they gave lizard men covenant glassing beams
How does he have Gor Rok as nakai?
this is total war Nakai campaign when?
After Throgg.
Strong army sure, but lizardmen have many other combinations that are far better doom stacks.
Welcome to Estalia lizardmen
Can you only get these units with the nakai dlc?
Yep
@@jonathanslater5643 Awwwww. Ok ty friend :)
If Tomb Kings spammed trustworthy lords(and disbanded them), then sword of khaine might be okay.
These are not Sacred Kroxigor. They are called Boxigors.
where is the life wizard in this army
You can't get a lore of life with a skink caster, only with a slaan mage priest as the lord. And I wanted to use Nakai for the fun of it, so that means no life wizard :(. They regen completely at the end of the battle though, even in enemy territory.
Is it even possible to have a life wizard in a Nakai army
@@jonathanslater5643 honestly, fair enough, outside of nakai/horde though, i assume a life slann would have been default for most here here just to top the health of these low entity monstrous infantry. i still like the kroxigor theme and concept regardless of effectiveness. (phone autocorrect edit)
@@IAmebAdger actually good question, normally you can boot and replace legendary lords with ones in your Lord pool like a life slann if you roll one in a rite but since he has a horde mechanic i cannot remember if it'll work the same for him (nakai)
Relationship its important
Fuck it its TOTAL WAR
Sword of Kheine is better on Gor Rok I think
What was the rating for the army, u didn't say?
He said 8/10 if the sword of khaine is taken out of the army.
he said 8 m8
0/10 needs more Swords of Khaine
8 out of 10 is pretty good for army like this
Not going to watch a doomstack video with Sword of Khaine or Lord Kroak. Both at the same time is ridiculous.
For most players this thing is booby trap. It looks so good but the thing is totally toxic.
Commenting for the algorithm
The end of this video when rating the doomstack is probably Legend's worst analysis of a doomstack. Defenders of the Great Plan are a separate faction so you can declare war on others w/o calling on your allies...
the ads are too much. i cant watch. theres a 39 minute phone ad
Sword of khaine is great for nakai, the diplomatic penalty does not do anything.
Agreed.
The problem is the vassal faction. They declare war on strange things all the time, and you're forced into war with anything they are. The Sword obviously isn't helping, but it's not the cause.
@@aprinnyonbreak1290 hmm I have only done one long campaign with Nakai and the vassal played very passively the entire campaign, will do another Nakai campaign soon, it's been a while.
@@DanielDem87
It could just be coincidence, but I've noticed VERY strange AI patterns in the last few games I've played, so maybe an update changed some things that might make a modern Nakai campaign strange, too.
YESSSSS FUCK YESSSS
*Nakeye*
I've never played Nakai, but I thought he couldn't confederate other lizardmen, being a horde. But this guy got Gor-Rok, so it's possible? Are their lands handed over to the vassal?
Yeah the vassal gets all the land, but you get the armies and heroes
@@jonathanslater5643 Thanks for the answer
You can confederate other lizardmen and they land goes to vassal with random temples built. But if your army capacity is not enough, their armies are going to be disbanded
Can we just all agree to stop sending legend sword of khaine fights?? I’m kind of tired of his rant about it 😂
