I have the 2019 model. Wonderful engine, great low down power and a fantastic sound. Looks good and I'll be keeping this one. Look forward to your review.
I got my licence back in Jan and bought a 2021 Speed Twin in Feb, love it! Done nearly 3000 miles since i got it already! I'm 6ft 2 with a 35 inside leg and i fit, just! I couldn't part with mine! I also have it in black, best colour!
Love love love my 21 speed twin! I have decatted, sports airbox, ohlins rear end. Third set of tyres. Love Rosso 4s. Got my license in 1975; best all round quick bike since. Could well see me out. Try it but you need the Ohlins to go fast!
I had the speed twin 1200 as a courtesy bike earlier this year, when my Tiger was in for a service. I found the physical dimensions a little small for me, but I fell in love with the sound of that engine, it was glorious! lol
I love it but I should because I have one. I have added new exhaust, springs etc so with a bit more aftermarket love they get even better....Great review.
Just took my 24 plate out first time today its just bloody brilliant the torque and sound are addictive obviously taken my time cus running in etc the handling is perfect just riding it is a joy so smooth definitely handles better than my 19 plate speed twin did brakes are more responsive front suspension is definitely better love it good video 👍
It is the second best looking bike for sale now, after Kawasaki Z900 RS SE. The Triumph Speed Twin looks it`s best in red. Great vid again Kate, Keep up the great work!
It's the same weight as my street twin and I don't like pushing it around, but you make it look easy. I like watching your channel because we have the same in-seam (but a few inches taller). Ha!
Lovely looking bike. Some nice shots too, especially of the rider's-eye view. I decided I need a 1200 Bonnie of some description. Just can't decide on a Thruxton RS or a Speed Twin. By the way, thanks for quoting torque figures in ft/lbs as well as NM. I wish more reviewers and bloggers would do this. NM are absolutely meaningless to me.
8.57 'nice exhaust system -- one coming out at either end of the bike.' Reminds me of my Meriden Tiger 750. Both header pipes were constantly coming out at the front.
Pretty much my absolute dream bike. Would love an upspecced version with all of the Thruxton RS goodies while maintaining the Speed Twin ergonomics, but, dreams are free 😅 a shame they dont at least accommodate for aftermarket quick shifter options
That is a nice looking bike for a retro, the bottom half looks modern but the top looks old-school… the only thing I’d change is the rear suspension to a single shock in the frame, I think old-school springs on either is a little too retro…
The Speed Twin 1200 is in the running especially in a nicer livery. However I've had a few bikes I bought which were sexier or better. Thruxton R, Z900RS SE, BMW R9T/5. Another couple bikes I haven't owned but would vote higher- Moto Guzzi V7 Special and Norton 961.
Triumph really needs to come out with an R model with better suspension. I put Ohlins on mine and what a difference that made. So much more comfortable and sporty.
I bought a 2022 model and had it for 8mths. We didn't get on. I found it physically to small and it's handling was suspect at times. I traded it for a 2023 BMW R1250RS and couldn't be happier.
Hei Ka Nice Walk around review of Triumph Motorcycles. The Company has to make little changes in installation of Black colour Exhaust and MORINE V2 Milano motorcycle 's Headlight Sized Headlight system will make the motorcycle more beautiful and trendy 🎉I liked your video
Nice. 👍👍 that looks really nice and I loved the sound. The only problem is I’m 6ft and 16.5 stone. 🤣😂🤣😂. Are you going to the dragon rally in February?
Carnival Red for me please, which, with all the necessary bits 'n bobs needed to suit my tastes and comforts, will bring up the new price to well over 13k of my very sparce Great British Pound savings! At least The sound is acceptable as it is, second thoughts, it's actually a very decent sound! Just noticed the Indicators, and think that they are not stock..., am I right?
I can say I owned one....unfortunately I am ....well let's us say.... vertically challenge....I have a 28 Inch leg....stop laughing...I needed to fit the Bike Tec bike rear suspension to feel comfortable and have a flat foot. Don't be put of..... many a Sunday morning ride out I have had on this bike!!!!
Great looking and most fun? Could be. "Sexiest" alive? It's in the running, with the others also being Triumphs, the Scrambler 1200XE and the Bobber. But if we include the deceased based on "EVER," even though the ergos and riding position isn't sexy, the looks of the recently deceased Thruxton RS with fairing couldn't be beaten, and the Paul Smart Ducatis from about 15 years ago were sexy, too.
The Zrx1200 produces max torque at 7000 rpm, the Speed Twin at 4250rpm. I've owned both and the Triumph has a much bigger shove opening the throttle from low revs. Sounds better too.😊
Bit gutless for a 1200 🤔 98.6 BHP & 82.6 lb-ft torque... puts it in the litre bike arena only. It's a heavy weight can only compete at middle weight 🤔 14.5 l 😬 not much stamina either 😕
True, gotta put my money where my mouth is and will look to test ride but I ride a Triumph Sprint GT which does pretty much same job, same torque and no need to juggle gears... that torque is available all through the range ! And all that at 200cc less displacement 🤗
That's the point, it's not completely different. Doesn't matter if you do it on 2 or 3 pistons, power and torque pretty much same. That's point I was making. I would have expected for 1200cc this bike would've made more.
@@1050cc I've owned a triumph gt and comparing it to a speed twin your talking about two completely different bikes . It's like comparing my 6ltr v8 with a kombi van.

Yeah, love this bike.
I love my speed twin so much!

Love mine!!! Great bike. Perfect for ripping around the curvy backroads here in Wisconsin. Plenty of power and torque to put a grin on your face.
Was tempted by a Speed Twin, but recently bought a new Bobber.
Love the bloopers at the end😄
It's so nice I bought a 2022 model

Hi, Kate! Glad to see you, as always.
Looks great in black , nice bike , bring back Rickman fairings 😊👍👍
Have mine for almost 2 years,is the best bike I ever had!great sound, very easy to handle, very good looks! love the Bonneville twin engine ❤!
Love the 1200… got a ‘24 900 now and will keep it for 2 years before ‘upgrading’… loving my 900😊
Excellent presentation and very cool Triumph. Love the background cottage, at least this time nobody’s wandering through the video. 😅
I had the speed twin 1200 as a courtesy bike earlier this year, when my Tiger was in for a service. I found the physical dimensions a little small for me, but I fell in love with the sound of that engine, it was glorious! lol
A beautiful motorcycle. I genuinely am torn between this and a sports tourer to do longer trips on. Nice review. And the sound.......😍
Fabulous bike Kate 👍😉. That sound 😎😎😎😎
So good!
@@UsernameKate say hi to Mike for me 👍
Now you're talking Kate, along with the Thruxton and Cosmic Yellow Street Triple, on the money!
Ok 👏🎉👍 Kate 😊
🎉
That bike does look pretty good. British racing green and yellow with gold forks would look cool on it.
Agreed. BRG would, "Tap Into The Triumph Spirit." imho
I love it but I should because I have one. I have added new exhaust, springs etc so with a bit more aftermarket love they get even better....Great review.
Bought a 23 this year. Blast of a bike, and with a motone cat delete and exhaust, makes it sound as sexy as it looks.
The bloopers are the best 😂
Great video! Sounds pretty damn good! Best!
YOUR HAIR LIKE THAT SETS YOU PERFECT !!!!

😊 thank you
Love the out takes at the end 😂

Thanks for watching!
Great combo Kate. Stealthy enough for you!
I think so too!
It is a decent-looking ride. Very cafe' racer. I like the FTR1200 from Indian.
Like the look would like a ride but wouldn't like to own one not my kind of all-rounder. Love the bloopers.👍🏼
Thanks! 👍
Great outtakes again. By the way: The horse was not commenting. That's simply as close as it will get to imitating the roar of a Triumph. 😁😁

Guilty pleasure of mine with thruxton, do enjoy that engine and box 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻, not a solo bike though defo a second one
Very nice keep it up
Thank you 😊
Looks like you are in Rivvy barn car park. Takes me back!
Its nice but the new moto guzzi's look much better 😌👍🏻
Im 5’11 and feel good on my Matt ironstone Matt storm grey 2023 model…the bike ain’t bad either lol😅
If Christian Bale approves, so do I. This was a great walk around. I’m the same height as you so good to see I’d fit it.

Let’s get Kate to 100k subs !
Yes please! hopefully very soon
Good looking bike, looks comfortable.
Its a lovely bike and right up my street until you mentioned the price, nearly 12 grand for a Bonnerville who'd have ever thought that.
By Jehovah! Where’s your little friend this time 😂

Gorgeous bike !. Would you rather this or the BMW r nine t ?
I’d have one in the garage for nice runs out in the dales.
I don't know why, but during your sound test the cam noise sounded like a Suzuki V-Strom 1000. Remember the original Fortnine intro? Am I crazy?
Sounds awesome, but I wanted to see you ride it! I just don't know if I could trust a triumph. 😂
What’s the difference between the speed twin and the bonneville they look the same to me
Thruxton more.
What is the name of your exhaust?

Katana for me, I love that engine and it feels more wild haha

82 ft lbs torque!! On par with the Kawasaki ZRX 1200r 😮😮

I was wondering about "Sexist Modern Retro".....glasses
Yeah strange rubber considering no qs.
No quick shifter is not acceptable. Period.
Lol
Why do you need a quick shifter on a bike with that much torque? Hardly be dancing up and down the box like i do on my 22 mt09
