- Armoury Data is a tricky currency to acquire and use, and so are Mastery Points. In this video I'm going to show you how to get armoury data and how to level up your weapons and gear in Space Marine 2. In a future video I'll show you all the potential spawn locations of Discoverable Armoury Data in Ops.

I wanna clear something up about Mastery Points. This is how the progression works. Mastering any individual "Version" of the weapon will grant you a Mastery Point. That mastery point can then be spent in the perk tree to unlock new perks. So the slow way to level these up is to simply buy each version and then play with them a bunch to get the EXP required to master that version. You can brute force a "version" by applying an Armoury Data to it instead and immediately get the mastery point for that version. In order to gain access to the green tier of versions, you'll need a green armoury data. From there you can spend armoury data to master those versions. To gain access to the purple tier versions, you'll need a purple armoury data to unlock them. And again, you can buy the versions and then level them up or apply purple data to them to fast-track them. Same for relic tier.
I'm already maxed out for both my weapons in gold relic tier but I'm not getting anymore mastery points to level up the skill tree I don't get it
@@jasonstamm1142to get mastery point, you need to master the weapons. Once you mastered the weapon, you dont get more mastery point. To get more, you can go back, and use those other (old) variants and master those to get more mastery point.

So you only get as many master points as there are version upgrades?! I wish I could unlock all the things in the weapon perk tree, darn :(
Your understanding of Mastery Points is a little off, but that's pretty common right now because how they do a bad job of explaining. You have an Unranked variant of the Occulus in your Master-Crafted tier. You can rank that up and earn a Mastery Point with it. Each variant can be leveled individually, at all tiers, and will all result in a Mastery Point. If you go back and equip that weapon, take it into a mission, it will earn weapon level XP, and when it is maxed you will have your Mastery Point from it.
Glad I saw someone post this as I was going to do the same, to further add to your point people can tell which weapon variants they have mastered by the gold symbol in the bottom right of the weapon variant selection, if you see a symbol then you have the mastery point.

I have an issue its saying that all weapons in the tear are leveled up but I'm still missing 200xp to progress
@@thomasharrison1443 There are 2 sets of exp, one tied to each specific weapon variant and one tied to the weapon class, if you use a weapon that is already mastered you still gain exp towards reaching the next weapon tier.

I’ve been at this for like 7 plus hours with randoms. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to get just one purple material. All my teamates literally keep dying when we make it to the end. I really wish there was another way to get these materials because I don’t have anyone to play with and I legit cannot progress my weapons. It shouldn’t even let you in the difficulty if you’re not 10 or above as it is recommended to be 10 anyways.
Nah it just should be guaranteed material box in every operation
Purple are pretty tough to get. I’m just focusing on leveling as high as I can and hopefully find some friends who are high level, I’m a vanguard main

Boss fights can also happen in Average difficulty, as has happened to me on two separate occasions with both a Carnifex and a Neurothrope.
We had the chaos terminator turn up on the tombs run at the lowest level. so they can arrive anywhere it seems and got a green armoury token for beating it. This video is good as it explains mastery points which many dont do, thanks,

You actually get the mastery points on weapons by leveling up the individual versions of the weapon in each section. Because you get 1 mastery point every time you master a weapon version. And you can do that with regular xp or an armory data point
I mastered all the multi melta variants and my perk tree isnt done. Are mastery points sharer between ALL weapons or just that weapon?
The random minibosses that drop the materials can be found in the lower difficulties not just Substantial and higher. They also are not guaranteed to drop a material, unless my experience was bugged. Just FYI

If a teammate picks up the data does it give it to you as well?
If anyone in the team gets the data, everyone gets it, so long as you complete the mission, if you fail it, nobody gets it.

I just started playing yesterday.. I’m just playing solo for now and I don’t see any of this. Is this all only within online mode? I haven’t even tried it yet
Where are you going to upgrade!? Ive been to several videos and nobody has said where to upgrade. The armoury has none of these stat screens when i go to select my weapons.
You have to actually click on the weapon you wish to upgrade
@the98themperoroftheholybri33 nope. Turns out it's just not upgradable in campaign. Nobody mentioned this once.
@@grossindecency oh right yeah, you can only apply an armour skin and gun skin, but not upgrade unfortunately, they should add that into the story as it'll make it more replayable, there's no real reason to replay the story mode once you finish it
@the98themperoroftheholybri33 that would be cool. Maybe just aesthetics. Otherwise it messes with the campaign difficulty.
Is a Carnifex classed as a boss? Because I just had one of those spawn in the middle of an Average difficulty mission.

Do you need to purchase and level each version per tier to unlock the next tier?
I still find it weird, that you have to progress to a higher threat level in order to get armory data for the weapon tier you actually need to survive. The other thing I don’t like, is that if you manage to get armory data and end up wiping, you lose it. I know, I know, there are a lot of people who have hours upon hours to play, stating they do ruthless missions with green weapons, but I usually play randoms, not with a group. Makes it A LOT harder when you don’t have a dedicated group to run with.

So you HAVE to buy a version of the gun in each tier as your upgrading or does the xp cascade over? In other words could I use just the standard version of the weapon to grind all the way to relic their then just spend the currency on the final version you want?
No, you have to have a version of that tier. What more, if you dont buy, and master those version, you wont have mastery point to improve your weapon.
So im struggling to understand this system.
So on a new grey weapon it gives me an option of spending a green token to master it, however i can choose not to spend the token and just level it up. What does the token do in this case?
So i've leveled a weapon to max grey, i then spend a green token to unlock mastercrafted tier, then i buy one of the variants with requisition points, it then asks me to spend a green token to master it. I have the weapon equipped but im not getting any experience. what gives?
You’re capped off because you need the data cache. Green, then purple, then gold.

You can skip having to level variants you don't like by spending the token.
So how do you get the gold data?
Please do a series on where to find the armory stuff.

Hmm came here to find out how to get the purple mastery points. Find out i have to do substantial to get them. Here's the thing just going to average from minimal, I've gone from taking out some majoris threat with 1 or 2 head shots with a laz rifle to suddenly it's taking 3 shots to stun them, sometimes it's like the game doesn't even register the hits either poured 7 head shots into a Tyranid majoris for it to laugh in my face and cut me down like i had shot candy floss at them

So ..to get the purple stuff so I have weapons that help I need to finish the harder stuff …to get weapons that help clear it …
I had no idea I could earn mastery points by unlocking the other weapon stats basically buying them all since I’m lvl 25 on tactical and only bought one each for each weapon I use 😂 I feel so dumb I was like how the hell do I get the relic perks haha
A problem i found is that in the perk tree if you divert in purple or relic tier you cant achieve the final tier

Question about the Weapon perk tree: Sometimes you have 2x the same perk, then it must get doubled right??? for example I take 2x "10% more damage" then my gun has 20% more damage!!

And people play the campaign for the story because the operations run concurrently to what's happening in the campaign.

You can easily clear ruthless with bots, or get carried by randos online. Just try for once in your lifetime.

You cant buy all perks from perk tree of the weapon. You have to choose
At the moment the substantial (hard) difficulty is so hard and also my cosmetics keep disappearing when I re load the name but the credits aren’t! Not sure if anyone else is having this issue on Xbox

You have to kill a mini boss ( carnifex or zoranthrope) or find the floating skull. Just comleting a mission does not give the armoury data. Thats why it is crucial to know the skull spawn locations

The difficulty in this game is insane. I’ve literally wasted 3 hours failing to complete substantial difficulty missions but failing and never getting a bloody point. I can’t get any better without better weapons. Fuck this, I don’t know why they made it this bad in an otherwise perfect game.
If you get a good team it's not so start with bulwark to make things easy

you don’t unlock them, they’re just there when you go into operations mode and go to the armory to check out the character you have chosen
@michaelmontalvo7441 yesterday I definitely couldn't get it to work. Today I did yet still can't play with any1even friends on campaign or pve. But can get pvp matches now and then. That shot grinds my gears. And I'm on a ps5 only game that has gave me problems like this but it is day 2

Weapon perks and the points system makes NO SENSE as there are more perk choices than there are weapon variants. Take the bolt pistol - there's officially 8 variants to unlock and use and master, so 8 mastery points to use on perks. 8. But you can unlock 10+ perks based on the lines. So you can't take them all, as you ONLY HAVE ENOUGH POINTS to make it down ONE of the lines, so even with the joined lines you can't pick every perk you want. What a stupid system!

Seriously i gave up on snipers cloaking it's so shitily designed and completly RNG, watch a guide and they all dovit with literally no spare time its all bang on the 60 sevond mark and these are the players who make the game look like ut was designed for children... edit: i laughed even hard when he said, "assualts are really good." assualts are th worst for PVE, their great in PVP because melee bypasses armour in pvp. In PvE they have no defence and rely on jet pack peferct dodge (jet pack has a stupid long cooldown compared to the campaign version)
How what fucking works? I keep grinding my reli wepaon, i get the yellow currency, i get the fucking xp and i still cant upgrade the godman weapon, why is this game so restarted with the weapon upgrades?!
