Rob at AC picked my LV for me. My LV is medium-slow on slurry and slow on water, just like they supposed to be. You are correct, they all so different. A fella needs a couple approaches if he wants to enjoy them. Unfortunately the theme usually is keep the same method, complain and blame the stone. Good stuff, enjoyed it as always.
Thanks for watching! I think compared to most hobbies we are fortunate that there is not more complaining. I'm also an auburn fan though so everyone is complaining when talking with friends. I might just be overlooking/ignoring most of it 😅.
Nice stone. I have one LV that is probably quite similar to yours. They seem to be really consistent from stone to stone. I think you can speed up the cutting by adding some more pressure. However, that is a fine balance with these softer stones, as you might just be rounding the apex too much in the process. For me the German steel work best with these stones. My TI razors only see jnat's.
Good to know, can see how this vein would be consistent. This Thiers Issard is the unlucky razor that gets the brute of my honing now days, the helje just working part time now. I think the Kiita gives me my favorite edge for this razor.
Nice stone! Very smooth passes!
One of the absolute best veins. Love my LV 💪🏻. Great honing as always!
Great stone show-and-tell !
Thanks for sharing. Take care.
