If a dish of food is simple, all the better. Non cooks can rustle up a tasty meal in no time at all, and this pasta dish looks tasty to me. Easy to prepare, the bacon will add that something extra, and anyone could add extra onions if they wished, perhaps diced mushrooms as well. A pasta dish can be whatever you want it to be, and if you fancy something inexpensive yet tasty, a quick and easy dish like your's Greg is a sure fire winner. I think I will make a pasta meal for the family tonight, yum!.

Omg Yummo! To make the diced bacon crispy move it into the middle of the pan and cover it with a smaller fry pan or saucepan lid. Stir occasionally & instead of wine you can use a small amount of water whatever you decide to use place the jar upside down on the bench for about a minute then open over your pasta gets a lot more sauce out.

I made a dish like this for my son when he was a teenager. I used plain tomato sauce rather than pasta sauce. I threw some frozen peas into the pasta water about 2mins before the end. Noodles, peas and bacon. A long time family favourite.

    Hi Greg!
Antoine from Switzerland here and I found a recipe that I think you'll find really interesting: a pizza in a mug made in the microwave. This is a very special subscriber view recipe for you. Here we go!
    1. In a mug, add 4 tablespoons of flour, 1/8 teaspoon of salt, 1/8 teaspoon of baking powder and add a pinch of baking soda.
    2. Add in 3 tablespoons of milk and 1 tablespoon of oil (any kind) and mix thoroughly.
    3. That's the dough done, add some tomato sauce on to the top.
    4. Add some shredding cheese on top.
    5. To add some extra zing, top with some herbs or small pieces of pepperoni.
    6. Microwave for 70 - 80 seconds on high.
I did it one night and it was amazing. It's absolutely revolutionary.
Do give this one a go. It'll make for a great video, I'm sure.
    Keep doing your thing, Greggo!
This vid will defy not get you thumbs down, Gretta.

I do this pretty frequently. Most of the time I use a 50 cent box of mac and cheese and hamburger and even ground turkey. Pretty cheep o , easy and fast. Sometimes I put in the oven with cheese all over the top and let it bake until the cheese gets all brown and bubbly.

This is exactly the same as what i do when feeling lazy. But i go even lazier and buy the pasta and sauce with the powdered sauce mix. So i can choose flavours like chicken and leek or tomato etc. throw cheese on it to finish off preferably parmesan if you have some.

What I would do as a poor student was to fry chopped up bacon in a saute pan, add minced meat (usually a pork and beef mix), add a good squirt of ketchup, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper and a heap of cayenne pepper, throw in macaroni, add some water and let it simmer until the macaroni was soft enough for my taste. That saute pan would last about three days and cost me about €5.

I always use the cheap Raguletto pasta sauce with the chunky veg, the other brands are way way to salty i can't eat them, I use sandwich ham chopped not bacon and some salami i chop if the budget allows. A single chopped onion and when cooking the pasta always a pinch of salt and some olive oil.
Another cheaper way is a tin of peeled tomatoes like the italians do, get get them for around 99 cents, they make the best sauce especially if you add onion.
