Yet, when a reporter interviewed Crimo's uncle, he said there were never any red flags that indicated anything unusual. I would say that attempting suicide and threatening to kill family members just might be red flags.

The woman who saw him drop the gun in the red blanket behind the shop led them to the gun that had been used, but she told the officers she saw him ditch the gun as she herself was trying to get to safety, as in she told an officer as everyone was running away and they were looking for the shooter. She didn't stick around to make sure they found it and give her info, which I don't blame her for, but hopefully she will see that they are trying to find her and feel it's safe to come forward now. With someone crazy enough to do what he did still being on the loose I too would be scared to come forward and be identified, likely plastered on the news, and possibly become a target by said crazy person or their family.

When he threatened family members why wasn’t the police called and they could have taken him to lock up or to the juvenile home where he gets extra help, counseling etc. that’s what happens here. My aunt voluntarily put my cousin in the juvenile home when he started acting out in either 9th or 10th grade, and he’s 30 now, married to a very nice young lady, he’s driven, loves to help others and now he works in Real Estate. Stop failing these kids, so they can be decent. People often thought my kids would be bad, just nothing, because I was an only child. They didn’t think that I actually wanted my twins, loved them and wanted them to succeed in life. Now they are both 20, work, and take college classes. I saw traits in my daughter from a young age 7 and got her counseling. She turned out way different from what I expected. She’s actually more responsible and more of a go getter than her twin brother. I have always worked full time or more than one job, but I still paid attention to my kids and noticed her issues. I got her help way back then before she even hit 10 years old now I have no worries with her. My son is the same as back then humble, quiet always laughing, and he plays those bad video games. That’s why I don don’t like that stereotype about video games. My son doesn’t even raise his voice. A video game doesn’t dictate if you’re going to get a rifle, gun or whatever anything can be turned into a weapon and k*ll innocent for no reason.

He said the stairs were uneven and there was a crappy railing going up to the door. Even had a picture of their house with the Honda Fit in the driveway that they caught him in driving down highway 41! Just goes to show you never know who you might run into out there. @@binhminh417 Correct. He travelled to Wisconsin afterwards and was considering shooting people in Madison. If he had done that, this would almost guarantee he goes to Federal prison. Federal prison executions don't happen as frequently as states like Texas and Florida. This being a young kid, he would be in there for over 30 years before they execute him, sometimes longer. But at least he would be on death row knowing any day could be the day. They take him out.

Mentally disabled no but he definitely had a mental disorder like incels usually do. America needs to do more and address mental health especially among young men.

So he was a "danger to himself or others" TWICE and "there wasn't enough mechanisms in place" B.S.!!!
    It's called a 5150
which would have prevented his weapon purchases for 5 or more years.

Well….. see…… “danger” ……. What does that really mean? ….. it depends on your definition of danger …… oh wait! That’s the dumbest thing ever - this guy is a psycho who should never have even been around people, much less own a firearm!

An AR-15-style rifle is any lightweight semi-automatic rifle based on the Colt AR-15 design. The original ArmaLite AR-15 is a scaled-down derivative of Eugene Stoner's ArmaLite AR-10 design. The then Fairchild Engine and Airplane Corporation division ArmaLite sold the patent and trademarks to Colt's Manufacturing Company in 1959. After most of Colt's patents for the Colt AR-15 expired in 1977, many firearm manufacturers began to produce copies of the Colt AR-15 under various names. While the patents expired, Colt retained the trademark of the AR-15 and is the sole manufacturer able to label their firearms as AR-15.[1] The "AR" in Colt AR-15 stands for "ArmaLite Rifle", not "assault rifle".[2][3]
