that seems incredibly cool that you could go to Korea for school, and it’s nice to see you’re not dead!
Wrong Korea
@@Blahblahblah69097 lol I didn’t mean it like that
Its so good to see you back!
I just got my nomination to USNA last week! You have no idea how insightful your videos are and how much you've been a help along my (and many others) application journey! Love the content ❤
Congrats Gabby! Seeya as a plebe! Get ready 😎
Nah you don't wanna go USNA. Look at better options like USAFA:)
Hey, got my nomination too! Good luck and hopefully I’ll see you there!
@@charlesni2865 Heck yeah! Ditto man 👍
I got my nomination in December, but I just received my LOA. Good job and good luck to both of you!
Wow!!! Thank you for the video. The Korean Naval Academy seems a bit more intense than Annapolis, but definitely a major experience!! Congratulations on getting to study there!! I go back to my junior year abroad, trying to study premodern Japanese literature in Japan in Japanese. It didn't make much sense at the time but once I got back it all clicked and made sense and has stayed with me all these years. I know the time at the Korean Naval Academy was nothing like that but it will do the same for you in your Naval career. Wishing you safe studies and travels back to the States and looking forward to seeing your videos once you get back to Annapolis.
Glad you're back! I've been watching your videos ever since 8th grade! You are an inspiration and you've helped so many along the stringent application process. I just received an appointment a week ago and have fully accepted the offer and your videos make me even more excited! Cheers from Texas!
Wow can't wait to scream at ya this plebe summer. See ya soon brotha
JC, you have no idea how helpful your vids
Are to me. Can't wait to try to get in. Thank you very
Much
Welcome to Korea. It's nice to see the Vlog of the Korean Navy Academy! I study in hopes of entering Korean Naval Academy and motivate myself by watching your videos whenever I have a hard time. My goal is to enter the Korean Naval Academy with excellent grades and become an exchange student at the US Navy Academy. Your video help me a lot. Thank you for uploading a good video.
Super stoked watching your videos!! I’m currently enlisted and hoping to apply to the academy and start my life there. I binge your videos while studying for thr ACT and it gives me motivation, please never stop filming!!!
Thanks Justin for posting! That’s a pretty cool adventure!
Nice video! Probably not many know about the little US Navy base in Jinhae, had a couple of port visits there years ago on deployment and also for a reserve Active Training. More like an "embassy" than a real port. Nice to see USNA doing a lot more foreign exchange studies than when I went there.
Great video as always. These songs you are finding for these are fire!! Make a playlist please!
Good work lil brother. You're gonna make a great officer. This video should have way more views and likes!
Glad to see your new video!
I've just spent an hour watching some of your videos. America's future is in good hands thanks to young men and women like you.
This is AWESOME J.C.!!!
Visited the Naval Academy for CVW and I’m super excited to possibly attend, only have my DoDMERB left.
YOU’RE BACK!!
This is a Great video and love the music 🎶 choice.
That campus is beautiful!
Good to see you again jc
Dang that transition at 0:23
It was very good editing right there. 👍
good to see a new post
Hey, kiddo :) You have been on my heart. I hope you are doing well. Praying for you.
This is super cool
Ahh so cool! I wish I learned korean (3rd generation here) because I would love to do this during my time at USNA.
love the content :) keep it up!
Thanks G
have a good dayy
Really dope man
Been there. Had no idea they had exchange programs. Was a fun set of orders to the Chinhea (or jinhae, seen about three spellings). My morning runs there were a blast. Loved running up the tower at 0400 before reporting for watch.
I did a foreign exchange first class cruise with JMSDF, but it’s really cool you get an entire semester. That experience will be invaluable. With your major I am guessing you will be going nuke. Good luck
Jinhae tower is beautiful!
Been awhile brother!
HE'S ALIVE!!!!
IM SO HAPPY YOU UPLOADED!!!! Also quick question, does a nomination guarantee an appointment to the US Naval Academy?
No it’s just a requirement but a milestone in and of itself
Great to see you back! So, quick question: Do you speak (speak, read and write) fluent Korean?
Yes I do!
@@navalaviation awesome! Can Naval cadets do the study abroad even if they do not speak the language of whatever country they are studying in? Meaning, if you did not speak Korean, would you still be able to study there?
@@JustAnotherArmyVet there are some schools with english classes so it wouldn’t matter. But the korean naval academy was not one of those. I was selected from a pool of korean native speakers
@@navalaviation awesome! enjoy your time there!!!
Nice video! Do you have to speak the language to study abroad at Naval Academy?
I was wondering what had happened to you. I did not write your number down. Still planning on going to Annapolis in April.
Stay safe.
The Korean naval academy is so rigorous !
The school looks nicer than Annapolis. Hey I’m a 15 year old XC runner looking to go to hopefully West Point or second Air Force as an engineer.
what engineering you wanna study tho?
Probably robotics and drone tech.
Hi JC, I love your video. My son is entering USNA as a class of 2026 from Southern California and I am just curious, is it better to validate some of the classes and move on to next level or just repeat the classes and get good grades on?
It will be very helpful if you can give me your opinion.
Thanks
Great question! Validating classes will allow you to be ahead and get opportunities like study abroad. However a good gpa is a great start into getting the career choice you want after graduation. It all depends on what career your son wants sir. Is he looking into ships, submarines, pilot, med corp?
@@navalaviation Thanks for replying. He is open to many jobs but prefers to go in to medical Corp. I know it is very competitive but hopefully he could achieve whatever he wants to do. Also one more question. One of your other video you mention about American Express platinum card. I know that's very expensive card and you have to have very good credit. Can you get the AX card even without credit when you are in USNA?
@@shawnlee5827 When I was at USNA I got a navy federal credit card first to build my credit a bit, and then applied and got the Amex Platinum card in my youngster year. I don’t think I ever heard of any Midshipmen getting denied the Platinum, though!
Hey Justin. I have a question on the dodmerb process. I am currently finishing up everything for my USNA application for the class of 2026. I am positive that I will have everything completed by Jan 31 but the medical examination/ dodmerb process. I was stressing about this because they still have not contacted me, but my Blue and Gold officer told me not to worry because the dodmerb process exceeds past the Jan 31st deadline. Is this true? I am worried because I know the dodmerb process takes a while and it will definitely not be done by Jan 31st.
The dodmerb process does take awhile. That is correct. Dont worry it will not affect your application whatsoever. Mine wasn’t cleared till around March
I'm just getting started with making videos of my Air Force ROTC experience and had a few questions.
Where do you find the music you use in your videos?
What is your process when it comes to editing a video? Do you have a vision of the final product going into it, or does it just kind of happen as you go?
What camera/editing software do you use?
Finally any College/officer training advice for a 100 (basically the AFROTC equivalent to a Plebe)?
Thank you for your time!
Music just comes from recommendations from my friends and hip spotify playlists. I use ideas from other vloggers like elliot choy’s older videos. Learn from how these other youtubers become successful. I use a standard gopro and dji osmo pocket 2 and edit with primiere pro! Advice is make the most of every opportunity, talk to people, so you can be the best you you can be.
@@navalaviation Thank you so much, have a great semester!!!
@@navalaviation do you get content ID copyright claims on your music?
@@JustAnotherArmyVet i do but im still allowed to use the music
@@navalaviation that’s good. Do they demonetize you then for that video?
해군사관학교 가고싶었는데 해사는 캠퍼스 전경이 아름답네요
Along with the video, the songs are very good!! , can I know the songs in the video?
Just wondering: obviously they teach the classes there in Korean but do you write your class notes in English, Korean, or a mix?
Good question! I write them in Korean and translated them to english back at my room.
Nice vlog!
How can i join the US Military as a foreigner? Any way for it? Help me...
Why you go back in south Korea just before your senior year at USNA?
Quick question: what countries can Mids select for study abroad?
Just about every country the US is allies with. Korea, Oman, Australia, UK, Japan, Germany, Austria, Israel, Singapore… list goes on
Hi, I was wondering if you had any tips for getting a nomination, should I try to volunteer for a campaign for them or something, I am a freshmen and I heard the nominations can be hard to get . Hoping I get to go to USNA someday
The easiest way to get a service academy nomination in my experience, is through your Congressman/woman or state representatives. You have to send an application to get an interview spot. If you get an interview, you will then hear back from them if you are one of their picks (for a nomination) a few weeks after the interview. They will email the academy letting them know you have the nomination if you receive one. I recommend getting in contact with your Congressman/woman or state representatives asap and learn more about the nominations process. Also keep in mind they are very limited and while you might receive a nomination, sometimes its not always the specific academy you want to go to.
Look at my video on how to get in!
Is Army still a big rival in Korea in terms of sports/athletics?
Yes they do!
My brother is in Korea he’s in the Enlisted Infantry tho
What is the song being played around 3:09?
Gsoul bad habit
Hey I have a question, is the program an exchange program? And how did you do it?
Yes it is an exchange program and we can apply through the naval academy international programs office
@@navalaviation Thank you so much. Your videos really help me.
Wow, Justin, bro, are you Chinese or Korean?? How can you speak Korean if you are from a Chinese family?
Chu or Joo is Korean surname, bro.
JC you understand korean?
Are the classes in English or do you speak Korean?
Classes are all in Korean. It was a very rough semester

That looks awesome man! I wish I could go to school in different countries, only one problem. I only speak English
You dont have to speak a foreign language to study abroad. Even Korea has a civilian school that can host students in english
